#500 - Chapter 500 Watch Now
"Locked? Impossible! Tell me!" Old Qin pointed at the soldiers he had brought.
"Reporting, Chief, the display just went off," a soldier reported.
"Xiao Chen, give me an explanation!" Old Qin was enraged.
"Old Qin, I only deployed some micro-probes; they won't damage the imperial tomb," Dongfang Chen said, no longer hiding now that he was exposed.
"Didn't I tell you to stop?" Old Qin scolded.
"Old Qin, once the probes are deployed, I can't control them," Dongfang Chen could only make excuses.
"Don't try to fool me. I order you now to immediately terminate the probing!" Old Qin's attitude was firm, leaving no room for discussion.
"Old Qin…"
"Do my words even matter?" Old Qin didn't listen at all.
"Alright, alright!" Dongfang Chen helplessly issued the command to Xiaolin to terminate the probing.
However, the Queen Bee didn't retreat from below.
"Old Qin, it's stopped," Dongfang Chen replied.
"Come with me!" Old Qin walked back into the room.
Dongfang Chen followed helplessly.
"Tell me honestly, what stage has the exploration reached?" Old Qin asked.
"The entire structure of the imperial tomb has been mapped out," Dongfang Chen answered truthfully.
"Mapped out? Tell me, what did you find?" Old Qin asked.
"As you said, the entire underground palace is an inverted pyramid. The very bottom should be the location of the underground palace, with spiraling tunnels and some burial chambers above," Dongfang Chen roughly described it.
"Hoo~" Old Qin took a deep breath, appearing much more relaxed.
"I told you, there's nothing you're looking for in the imperial tomb. Do you believe me now?" Old Qin asked.
"I believe you," Dongfang Chen said perfunctorily.
He hadn't had time to check the underground palace yet, so how could he believe it?
"Can the screens here be viewed?" Old Qin asked, pointing at the screens in the room.
"Yes!" Dongfang Chen nodded.
"Project it!" Old Qin instructed.
"Ah?" Dongfang Chen was stunned.
Old Qin wanted to see too?
"What 'ah'? Project it!"
"Be careful with secrecy!" Old Qin glared at him.
"Oh, oh!" Dongfang Chen nodded and did as he was told.
Soon, the screen lit up.
According to Old Qin's request, only this screen was lit; the hall remained dark.
On the screen,
Against a black background, an inverted pyramid-shaped three-dimensional structure outlined by lines emerged.
"Where do you want to look? Look now!" Old Qin said.
"Old Qin…" Dongfang Chen didn't understand what Old Qin was trying to do.
"Stop talking nonsense, look!" Old Qin's expression was very serious.
"Alright!" Dongfang Chen didn't stand on ceremony either.
The camera zoomed in to the bottom level, the end of the tunnel, the entrance to the underground palace.
"Old Qin, look at these six characters," Dongfang Chen zoomed in on the words "Trespassers of the Imperial Tomb Shall Die" engraved on the stone door.
"What about them?" Old Qin asked, looking at the screen without turning his head.
"Old Qin, how did you know about these words?" Dongfang Chen asked.
"I made them up," Old Qin replied.
"Alright!" Dongfang Chen stopped pursuing the matter. The camera pushed forward, passing through the stone door and entering the interior.
Inside was a square, sealed space about 4 meters high and 10 meters long and wide.
On either side of the doorway inside the stone door knelt a terracotta figure.
Judging from the style, they should be maids.
In the middle of the burial chamber was a square platform, and on top of the platform was a bronze coffin.
Besides that, there was nothing else.
"This…" Dongfang Chen found it hard to believe.
Judging from the style of the bronze coffin, it should undoubtedly be the coffin of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.
But this differed greatly from historical records.
There were no rivers, lakes, seas, sun, moon, or stars.
Even the material of the coffin was wrong.
According to historians, Qin Shi Huang's coffin should have been made of cypress wood.
"Isn't it very different from the legends?" Old Qin asked, looking at him.
"It is!" Dongfang Chen nodded.
"That's why I said there is a huge difference between history and reality," Old Qin said.
"It feels like you knew this result a long time ago?" Dongfang Chen said tentatively.
"Of course! You're not the first to explore it," Old Qin glanced at him.
"Old Qin is right. There's nothing here anyway, so why did you insist on stopping me from exploring?" Dongfang Chen asked.
"I was worried you would cause damage here!" Old Qin said.
"Alright!" Dongfang Chen nodded speechlessly.
"Do you want to take a look inside the bronze coffin?" Old Qin reminded him.
"Look! Of course, I want to look!" Although Dongfang Chen found Old Qin's words strange, he couldn't immediately figure out what was wrong. However, the secret of "burying soldiers in the earth" had not yet been found, so he certainly couldn't give up now.
Since Old Qin was letting him look, he might as well take a look.
The camera pushed forward, zoomed in, and directly penetrated the coffin, entering the interior.
Inside was a skeleton wrapped in clothing.
Besides that, there was nothing else.
"Old Qin, the jade slip you mentioned isn't here," Dongfang Chen asked.
