I have a Synthesizer

#10 - Salvation and Peeping

The Fireblade cult leader didn't move, unsure of Klein's current strength. If Klein was a warlock, he might be difficult to deal with.

Since the other party wasn't moving, Klein certainly wouldn't either. He was out of options and could only stall for time.

"After fighting for so long, where are the city's Security Department and guards!" Klein couldn't help but complain.

The Fireblade cultists wouldn't remain deadlocked with him for long. Having launched such an attack, they had long since accepted death as their destination. Now, they couldn't wait any longer.

"All of you, attack and kill him."

The Fireblade cult leader pointed at Klein and issued the order.

Having launched such an attack, they had long since put life and death aside.

In his opinion, killing a warlock before dying was far more meaningful than killing a group of civilians; it was the best possible outcome.

"Crap!"

Klein was already under immense pressure facing one Fireblade cult leader. Now that they were all charging at him, even summoning a little imp would likely result in death.

Since survival was impossible, he might as well fight to the death.

Klein steeled his resolve. Facing life and death head-on, his entire demeanor changed in an instant.

Just as Klein was about to tear off the pendant, a streak of blue sword energy pierced through the air.

"Put away your death wish."

In an instant, all the Fireblade cultists were cut in half at the waist. Because the sword energy was too sharp, some of the cultists lying on the ground had not immediately died.

The blue figure attacked again, pointing a finger at the Fireblade cult leader's brow. Blue ripples began to spread in the air.

This Fireblade cult leader seemed to see immense fear, his face twisted, his pupils dilated, and he fell down.

"You have ultimately embarked on the path of a warlock, Klein."

The blue figure slowly turned around, revealing Klein's mother, Katie.

At this moment, Klein's mind was blank. Katie's power was too direct and overwhelming.

The sword energy she casually unleashed could easily tear apart a group of people's bodies.

… …

"So strong, like chopping vegetables. A seemingly ordinary person's body can unleash such powerful strength; it's almost unreal like a game!"

Klein's eyes were fixed on Katie, engraving this scene firmly in his mind.

The benefits brought by individual strength were vividly displayed in this world.

Seeing her son staring at her blankly for a long time without saying a word, Katie assumed that Klein was frightened, or perhaps didn't want to answer questions about being a warlock, so she said softly and gently.

"Lord Katie, this Fireblade cult's attack points are not just in the Eastern District. There are a total of four locations in Hammerfall that have been attacked. The Eastern District public office was the last point, so we were a bit late."

The guard captain said breathlessly. His sword and armor still had bloodstains on them, bloodstains that hadn't dried, indicating that he had just fought, not a lie to evade responsibility.

Katie nodded, acknowledging the guard captain's explanation.

"The Fireblade cult is truly troublesome. These guys are too crazy. Dealing with this kind of terrorist organization is indeed particularly difficult."

"Currently, the military has to spend a lot of energy dealing with magical beasts and confronting Grandok on the eastern border. There are simply not enough people."

"Forget it, I'll leave these people to you."

"Yes, Lord Katie."

The guard captain respectfully saluted Katie.

After briefly explaining the matter, Katie came to Klein's side again, patted the dust off his body, and straightened his clothes.

A mother tidying up her son's clothes, with the setting sun's afterglow and the surrounding flames, the scene seemed particularly beautiful.

Looking at the corpses on the ground, the soldiers always felt that it didn't quite match Katie's usual gentleness.

"Klein, the back of your head has been pierced by wood splinters. Let's go home first, so I can clean up the wound for you."

Klein looked at Katie and, after a long while, finally squeezed out a sentence.

"Mom, you're really amazing."

Katie smiled, no longer paying attention to the mess behind her, and left with Klein.

On the top of Hammerfall's clock tower, a girl with seaweed-green hair sat on the clock's hour hand, not very old, about the same age as Klein.

In her left hand, she held a snack bought in the city, her legs swinging leisurely.

"I didn't expect to see some interesting things on this trip to Hammerfall.

The Moonlit Swordsman, hidden in the Security Department, Song of Azure Skies - Katie, and her son."

After the green-haired girl mentioned Klein, a dark shadow suddenly appeared behind her, saying in a hoarse, low voice.

"Klein-Alex! The third son of Esmond and Katie, with mediocre talent, only qualified to be an arcane mage."

"An arcane mage can't use Fel energy!"

The girl kept her eyes on the direction Klein left, even at such a great distance, it seemed she could see very clearly.

When the girl's gaze shifted from Klein to Katie, Katie in the distance seemed to notice something and immediately turned her head to look, meeting the green-haired girl's gaze.

"Oops, I've been discovered!"

The green-haired girl crushed the snack in her hand and stood up.

"I advise you not to provoke her. She is very dangerous. If we get too close, we will be killed instantly."

The shadow's voice appeared again.

"I didn't provoke her. I just glanced at her. The data says she is very, very strong. I don't know why she is hiding in the Security Department."

"Such a strong person is beyond our speculation."

"Three, I think this kid named Klein is very special. I always feel that my judgment is quite accurate, just like how I discovered you."

The green-haired girl turned around, no longer looking at Klein and Katie, and turned to look at the shadow behind her.

The shadow was silent for a while before saying.

"He is too mediocre! Moreover, Fel energy may not necessarily be his own ability. There is no need to pay attention to him, right?"

"Regardless of whether it is his own ability or not, being able to use Fel energy is enough to show that he is no longer mediocre!"

The green-haired girl said with a smile.

"You want to invite him? He has not yet become a formal professional, his strength is too weak.

Moreover, he is Katie's son, she will not agree to her son joining us."

"Shadow Three, it seems that you know quite a lot about the Alex family. Why are you so resistant?

I feel that he is okay, I can't let me fail the mission!"

The green-haired girl smiled, revealing her teeth, but her teeth were not the same as ordinary people's, like two rows of serrated meat cleavers, completely incompatible with her beautiful appearance.

"I have already said what I needed to say. As for what to do, you should decide for yourself."

The shadow's voice gradually faded away.

She looked again in Klein's direction, frowning.

"Hey, member invitation is too difficult. Klein-Alex, I hope he is okay."

Repeating Klein's name again, the girl also jumped off the clock tower, and after a few turns on the wall, she safely reached the ground.
