Episode 16 – Date On The Way Home

On the first day, the Light Music Club ended without an incident. I was impressed by everyone’s expression as they listened to me and Iori san’s performance.

Then, I was on my way home alone with Iori san.

I’m alone with a girl.

It was a reenactment of reenactment in the morning. It was awkward.

I don’t know what to talk about. I feel like we have talked about music all the time.

When I was with Aika, I never ran out of things to talk about.

Or rather, I now know that Aika was the one who carried me.

It was a shameful thing for me to do.

“Sorry about today, Naru.”

Iori san cut in with an apologetic look on her face. Rather than an apology, I need a hand.

“Because I’ve caused Naru a lot of trouble since this morning.”

“Maybe I like it… I don’t want to put a lid on that feeling without knowing it.”

“Listening is a temporary embarrassment, isn’t it? It’s the same. Besides, if you don’t make sure, you may regret it forever. I don’t like that.”

As expected from someone who’s older, it’s a wonderful way of thinking that I can’t imitate.

“But….it’s not like you have zero embarrassment, right?  I’m also trying to be brave.”

Blushing Iori san. She’s too cute. She’s indeed the school idol.

“It’s my first time… That’s why I don’t know what to do, so this was the only thing I could do.

I’m glad you aren’t bothered by it, Naru.”

Her smile is dazzling. It’s too dazzling.

“Just for someone like me….I’m honored.”

“As a result, when I say that I like you, how will you respond, Naru?”

—My heartbeat suddenly became more intense.

I wonder what kind of answer I will give.

My feelings are still lingering over Aika.
