~KYOMI~
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked my mother as soon as I stepped inside the house. She was already waiting for me in the hallway, probably to find out how the date with Ben went.
"Tell you what?" She asked.
"That father is planning on getting me married to Ben." I told her flatly, trying hard not to raise my voice.
Her eyes lit up with understanding. "I didn't think it was that important to tell you."
I felt my heart drop at her words. "You didn't think it was important to tell me about my own wedding?" I asked in disbelief.
"Your father has already set his mind for this wedding to take place. He doesn't see a better match for you than Ben. So whether or not you objected, the wedding would have taken place, hence the reason why I didn't see it important to inform you about it until it was the right time to do so." She explained.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing, my own parents didn't see it fit to tell me that my own wedding was being arranged.
"I'm going to change." I told her quietly, unable to even look her in the eye after what she'd just told me.
"How was the date?" She asked as I stepped past her.
"Even if I were to say it was horrible, it wouldn't even matter. Since my opinion is not important, is that not so?" I asked.
She remained quiet and so I kept on walking without looking back, there was nothing else for me to say.
Yet something bothered me, something that has been bothering me since Dante showed up at the restaurant.
If it was something terrible then it might be enough to get my father to cancel his plans on the wedding, it might just be what I need to save myself from this disaster.
First thing tomorrow morning I was going to have a discussion with Dante at school, as soon as I saw him. My body for some reason was thrilled at the thought of seeing him again and it annoyed me way more than it should.
Yet, Dante's classes were in the evening. Was it possible that he would come earlier tomorrow as well? I could only hope that he did, for there was no way my parents would let me stay back at school after already knowing my class schedules.
