Dante's POV :

"You look tensed brother." Mateo pointed out as he picked up a loaded gun from the table.

"Are we going somewhere?" I asked him, ignoring his comment.

"Just to surprise another client who hasn't returned our money, nothing new .... Why are you avoiding my question?"

I quirked a brow at him as he tossed me a gun. "That wasn't a question."

He shook his head at me with a grin. "Okay smart ȧss, let me rephrase. Why do you look so tensed?"

"I'm guessing father hasn't relayed the news to anyone as yet."I muttered in a dry tone.

"Now you've spiked my curiosity, what exactly am I missing here?"He asked as he studied me.

I sighed and leaned against the wall. "Apparently father has come up with a new plan to fix the problem with the annoying Palmers'. Unfortunately his plan involves me."

Mateo looked amused. "How does it involve you?"

"He expects me to find some way to get Kyomi Palmer to marry me."I answered, the words spilling out of my mouth with disgust.

Mateo looked genuinely shocked at my response. "Let me get this straight, father expects you to marry a Palmer?"

I nodded. "Unfortunately yes."

His frown turned into amusement once more. "You? Marry a Palmer? Dante Clarke marrying a Palmer? I'm sorry but I don't see how that would ever work out, the girl is pure and innocent. She'll never be able to satisfy you nor would you ever accept her as your wife. Both of you would be miserable together."

I glared at my brother. "Thanks for pointing out the obvious."

"I can see why father proposed such a thing though. I can't imagine the look on Dominic Palmer's face when he realizes his daughter has to get married to a Clarke, God that's going to be priceless."Mateo pointed out with a chuckle. "Have you decided how you're going to make it happen? Surely Kyomi Palmer isn't just going to walk straight into your arms, she'll be your most difficult target yet. I'm positive Dominic isn't going to make it easy for you either, so even if you did get her to fall in love with you which I honestly think you wouldn't be able to accomplish easily, you'll still have to go through her father and we both know he's never going to approve of your relationship with his daughter."

I nodded. "I have thought about it all. I'll flirt with her at first, see just how difficult she is.If she's being stubborn and refuses to let me in, I'll force her to marry me."

"Force her?"Fabio asked from the doorway, taking a bite of the apple in his hand.Great, just what I needed. Another one of my brothers in here to tease me.

"I take it you heard everything?"I asked him.

The smirk on his face gave me the answer to my own question.

"But please enlighten us, how do you plan on forcing her?"He asked.
