“Hmm, to be honest, I don’t really know what I want to do…”

In response to Yō’s question, Haruki smiled in a troubled way.

It seemed that he didn’t know where his true feelings lay, as he had been something of a broken man not long ago.

When Yō saw Haruki, he fell silent and leaned against the fence.

“How do you feel about Nemoto?”

“‘What do you mean?”

“Are you still pretending to be in a relationship with her because you have some sort of interest in her?”

Haruki and Kasumi are still dating at school.

It’s not a position that Yō can interfere with, but if Kasumi and Haruki are just letting the situation play out without wanting to, he was going to interfere.

That’s why he asked for confirmation.

However, Haruki had a puzzled look on her face.

“No way, what kind of madness would make you fall in love with Kasumi-chan…?”

“Madness you say… She’s one of the two most popular girls in school, isn’t she?”

Haruki’s harsh words caused Yō to defend Kasumi somehow.

Haruki then waved his hands in front of his face as if in a panic.

“Ah, no, that’s not it! It’s not that I don’t find Kasumi-chan attractive!”

“No, you don’t have to be in such a hurry to correct yourself.”

“It’s just that Kasumi-chan is crazy about Yō-kun! She’s so obsessed with you that she’s acting like she’s a stalker, and you’re all she’s got!”

“I knew it, you’re clearly saying bad things about her, you know…?”

“Like I said, that’s not the case…! I wanted to say that I wouldn’t fall in love with a girl who clearly has feelings for another boy…!”

Haruki hurriedly mended his words after saying that.

It’s not as simple as that, and it’s not as rational as that.

And from what Haruki had said, Yō understood what Haruki was thinking.

(He’s seen enough of Kasumi’s dark side to know that he’ll never like her…)

When it comes to getting involved with Yō, Kasumi shows an odd obsession.

Until a while ago, he hadn’t been involved with her at school, so he hadn’t had the chance to see her much, but recently, because of Yō’s involvement with Marin, Kasumi often had oozing black aura from her entire body.

From Haruki’s point of view, he couldn’t see Kasumi as a romantic interest due to her appearance and behavior.

“Well, I understand now that you really don’t have any feelings for Nemoto. If that’s the case, do you want to end the relationship?”

Yō thought that making fun of him here would only annoy Haruki, so he decided to move on.

Haruki nodded his head in response to Yō’s question.

“Yes, you’re right. But if we break up now, Kasumi-chan’s reputation will be…”

“Apart from that, wouldn’t it be just because you guys didn’t get along or something? In fact, I think a lot of people would be happy if Nemoto became free to date again.”

“No, it’s already obvious how she’s going to act when she’s no longer under the weight of her boyfriend, isn’t it? It’s easy to imagine what people around her will think.”

“Oh, that’s… Well, let’s just say that she deserves it, shall we?”

The damage that Kasumi’s actions cause to herself is already her own fault, so to speak.

Yō didn’t think that Haruki needed to be worried about that.

“You’re really amazing. You’re the one who’s probably going to suffer the most damage though…”

“I’ve decided to face it. I’m not going to make the same mistakes again, and I think it’s necessary if I’m going to get what Akimi wants.”

“I see… But is it really because you’re thinking of Marin-chan, or is it just because you want to put Kasumi-chan first…? Which is your true intention?”

“…Who knows~?”

When Haruki asked him a question, Yō brushed it off and left the rooftop, knowing the answer he wanted to know.
