First of all, I would like to say that I, ‘Ichijo Asuka’, am a genius.

Even when I was a child, I overwhelmed others in many aspects of life, including studies, sports, and so on. I was called a ‘child prodigy’ in my hometown. That talent is still alive and kicking in my high school years.

Being such a talented one, I fell in love at first sight with a certain boy at the entrance ceremony. Sasaki Tsuzuri… It’s not an exaggeration to say that he was the coolest boy I’ve ever seen. He was exactly how I preferred it.

After talking to various people, I found out that he was smart, athletic, had a perfect personality and was the object of girls’ dreams.

The object of admiration? So what? I don’t think that such a wonderful person would fall in love with some random bitch, and it’s only people like me who deserve him.

The next day, I was lucky enough to run into him on my way to school. I immediately tried to gain his attention.

How did it come to this?

Sasaki Tsuzuri, that guy was unfortunately being hounded by a woman. That abominable woman is… 

Shirayuki Kotoba. I will admit that she has excellent looks, but other than that, she seemed to be worthless. I’m sure he’ll agree that I’m superior to her academically, and probably personality-wise as well.

When I observed her, she was always so picky. And yet, on the rare occasions when she was honest, she acted like a child and annoyed Sasaki-san.

Sasaki-san also seemed to have been influenced by her following him around, always talking happily and looking joyful.

This is crazy! This cannot be allowed to happen… That’s what I believe. I think that Sasaki-san should be freed from that woman’s clutches. Then, eventually, he can be with me as… 

Anyway, it pains my conscience to just watch him being trapped like this. In order to save him, and to find happiness for myself, I decided to take action in the school.

And yet, I was rejected. He rejected me, a delicate girl, with harsh words. That was the only time I felt like destroying the smile I wore to gain his favour.

But that was not his fault. Sasaki-san was just being tainted by that woman. To put it bluntly, it was all her doing.

I concocted a plan to get rid of the insect that was clinging to Sasaki-san.
