Chun Hwa in a Strange Nation 7

“The name of that sword is Lamia. There are several who contributed to the creation of it, and it was through my request. There were Dragon Kings and gods that I was close with, and it normally started out as a joke. I wanted to create something amazing, so I incited them. We used Eclipse, a metal of god, so that it could hold magic, and then granted it the power and abilities of each individual. And, the handle is made of a mixture of some of my dragon heart and bone, while the scabbard is made of red dragon leather. I utilized the best of what I could get from this world, but a silly problem arose.”

At this point, Greydrone took a slight break.

“After taking 300 years to create Lamia, I was the first to try and grab it, but I was rejected. Its ego seemed to be too strong, as if it was a fastidious lady. It was really ridiculous, so I tried to use my strength to suppress it, but it returned that same amount of strength back to me as a backlash. Because it was me, it ended up as just a backlash, but if it was another existence, it probably would’ve ended up much worse than that. Accepting the fact that I could not wield it, I passed it over to the others that had helped me create it. However, they also were rejected. They were able to grab a hold of it, but they were unable to emit any of its power. In that state, it’s just a sturdy sword. I can only imagine that its future owner would have to be someone on the same level as the source of light and darkness, in order for it to give recognition. However, it’s out of reason for them to come and get Lamia, and at the same time, I feel that it’s not fair. Not being able to use it even though I was the one who went through the trouble of creating it. The reason why I have Lamia temporarily sealed and guarded, is because of the slight chance that the individual that it recognizes, might try and destroy the world. It is the worry of myself and the gods. That’s how incredible Lamia’s strength is. I think the only ones that know of me being here, are the gods that helped me create the sword. As for the other Dragon Kings, their lifespan most likely already came to an end…….”

It may have been since Greydrone hadn’t spoken in the past 10,000 years, but he had made every sentence long. Staring at the sword, Chun Hwa couldn’t believe it.

“This sword is that amazing huh?”

No matter how much he stared at it, he could not see what was so special about it. He was sure that it was a formal-dress sword, but it was nothing more than a sword. As far as one could tell, it all depended on the skills of the user of the sword, rather than the sword itself, so he could not believe that it was worth the 10,000 years of protection. His honest feeling was that he wanted to laugh out loud, but feeling the weight of the 10,000 years, he just acted surprised. Suddenly.

[…….sir]

Feeling a small whisper within his heart, Chun Hwa lifted his head and looked around.

‘Did someone call me. This, what’s going on……’

Chun Hwa’s words became cloudy, because his head suddenly grew fuzzy. Although it wasn’t the first time that his head felt fuzzy since coming here, this was a different kind of chaos. Feeling as if he lost his strength within his body, it altogether completely loosened. It was very similar to when he was brought here by the light. The difference was that, his body didn’t listen to him because his muscles had completely loosened. Furthermore, his arm………making some noises, Chun Hwa stared at his arm. He was completely dumbfounded. Independent of his own will, Chun Hwa saw his arms moving by itself. Being too surprised to be able to do anything himself, he looked at Greydrone for help, but it seemed to think nothing of it.

However, one of his arms which was sticking out parallel to the ground, moved past Greydrone and towards the sword. And this time, it was his legs. His legs began to move by itself, as he began to walk closer to the sword. It felt as if they were possessed.

‘Damn it. Why do I keep suffering from absurd things today. I was told that I would disappear the moment I touched that thing. Elder sister!’

Although Chun Hwa was curious about the buzzing noises he could hear in his ears, he had no time to focus on it. He tried his best to resist this possession, but to no avail. He was getting closer to the sword, even as his legs were being dragged and his butt was sticking back.

But, what can he do. His hand was now close to the handle of the sword, as it shook in front of it. If his clenched hands were to unravel, he would touch the sword.

‘Ahhhhhhhhh. This body of mine is betraying its master and trying to get itself killed. Elder sister.’

“Hey, my body is being weird. Hurry and do something!”

Chun Hwa turned his head and tried to ask for Greydrone’s help, but Greydrone just seemed to be staring at him.

Straining his body to the utmost, Chun Hwa tried once again to pull back his arm, but his cruel hand eventually grabbed the handle of the sword.

“Ahhhhhhhhh….”

Subsequently, Chun Hwa’s eyes fell into darkness, as he bid farewell within his mind.

‘Sniff, to end up dying like this. I didn’t even get to see my elder sisters……..’
