I'll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History

Gilles turned his head away from me after a while and looked up at me intently.

I was overwhelmed by those gray, intelligent eyes. I wondered if he had always had this look on his face.

“I made a cure for Spotted Disease, and I developed a similar compound to Maddie’s.”

I froze at those words.

He created a solution similar to Maddie by himself…? That’s a lie, right. I couldn’t believe it.

I couldn’t believe my ears. How could someone be capable of such a thing?

If he could create it, the number of people he could save from Spotted Disease would go through the roof. I wondered how many people would be saved because of him.

I risked my life to harvest Maddie using my magic, but he created a cure out of nothing and only using his knowledge and faith.

I envied Gilles’ talent.

“Gilles is a hero!”

Gilles looked at me with a puzzled expression on his face and laughed aloud.

“I never thought Alicia would say that to me.”

“Oh my, Is it not worth it for you to be told by me?”

After all, I was a Villainess! 

I even held the title of being exiled from the country. An evil person.

…I guess I was starting to regain my identity.

I couldn’t dwell on this forever, I had to move on to live up without being ashamed to face Uncle Will.

Gilles chuckled a little and muttered, “Yes, indeed”.

“Aliali!”

“Alicia, it’s been a long time.”

Mel and Big Brother Henry came running up to me. Then came Rebecca and Nate, their eyes still swollen.

Carol also came up to me with tears in her eyes, saying “Alicia-sama”.

I felt like everyone had grown up in the little time I had spent away from them. …And the people on Liz-san’s side looked different from before.

There was no disgust in their eyes when they looked at me. What happened to them? 

“Hey, can you tell me what’s going on?”

I asked in a small voice, turning my gaze toward Gilles.

Gilles gave me a look that made it difficult for him to answer. I could tell by the look on his face that he was having a problem with answering me.

“It won’t be very pleasant for Alicia to hear…”

“…I see.”

I wondered if the charm has been lifted from everyone? 

Still, Liz-san followers might be on Liz-san’s side, though… Then it would be Liz-san who would be the one who changed the most among all of them.

I shifted my gaze toward Liz-san.

My eyes meet Liz-san’s clear emerald green eyes. They were different from before, and had a look of determination in them.

Perhaps she has stopped being a good girl? …That was the face of a woman who had finally moved on.

“I think you look a little better now.”

I smiled at Liz-san with confidence.
