“I’m surprised a tamer was able to get here.”

I was in an empty iron-walled room.

I can feel that it’s gotten harder for me to muster power ever since entering the room.

“Well, thanks to a lot of trouble with a fake king.”

“Is my stupid brother doing well?”

“I’m here right now thanks to him being well.”

“I apologize about that in place of my brother.”

He sits cross-legged and starts bending forward, but I stop him.

“You don’t need to, if I was to get one it would be from your brother. More importantly I have a request that I would rather have you listen to.

“Which is?”

“I’m looking for someone who can change this into a proper dagger. Do you know anyone who can?”

I show the fang I hold in my right hand to Dwar.

""

“Can I take a closer look?”

“Sure. It’s a pretty rare material though, so don’t damage it.”

I hand the fang to Dwar.

I don’t talk about the grandfather, not being able to help but feel suspicious of others with my recent incident with the fake king.

“This… is this a fang from the fenrir? No, it’s impossible for him to lose…”

Oh, he knows what it is. So this dwarf is the one that the grandfather was talking about.

“This is a fang I received from that fenrir.”

“Oh! You’re liked by that fenrir! Who might you be?…”

“I’m not good with speaking formally. Just keep things as normal. So, do you know anyone who could handle that fang?”

King Dwar inspects the fang closely, then says with passion,

“I want you to let me forge it! I can’t, I won’t let anyone else take responsibility for that fenrir’s fang! With something like this, I can make a legendary weapon! I’m sure it’ll be the best masterpiece in all of my life!”

He seems extremely ecstatic, but just so you know I’m not going to let you use it…

“The one who’ll be using it will be me though.”

“No one other than you could use it even if they wanted to. I bet the fang won’t like being used by anyone but you.”

“Won’t like? You say it like it’s alive.”

“To us craftsmen, everything we handle is as good as living. We listen to their voices and make our weapons following their wishes.”

Voices of materials… Sounds pretty cool actually.

“Alright, I’ll leave the fang to you.”

“REALLY?!!!”

“Really. Of course, after this ends. How long do you think it’ll take to forge a weapon out of it?”

“Mmm, I want to make something I’ll be proud of. Definitely a month at the least, and it could even go up to a year.”

O, one year… True, it’s a hard and rare material, but I never would’ve thought it would take that long.

“Alright, I understand. Let me know if there’s any other materials or tools you need, I’ll try to help as much as I can.”

“That would be great. I doubt the fang would get even warm from an ordinary fire, so I might need the fire of some strong monster.”

Oh, you need help from there?!

Well, no can do. It’s a fenrir’s fang we’re talking about.

“Let’s leave this weird room first of all, we can’t do anything here.”

“You’re right, the first thing to do is to get my smithery back from my brother.”

Let’s go kick some butt.
