The Melancholy of Katia

Zekudo's POV

A Dragon Steak has three ranks.

When a Baby Dragon's meat is used it's C rank, when a Dragon Man's meat is used it's B rank.

But Katia brought an A rank meat from an A class dragon.

The meat is very tender and juicy and when it's grilled the juices overflows from the meat.

It's a bit expensive but the taste of it is definitely worth it.

There are many kinds of meat such as pork, beef, chicken, and rabbit, but none is as appetizing and delicious as a dragon meat.

I was surprised that she had brought such a good meat.

"Uhmmm. I've never been in a man's house before but it's suprisingly clean."

As soon as Katia saw the interior of my house it seems that she's really interested in it.

Wait, first time?

So that means that I'm the first man that she visited.

I'm very excited because of that!

I'm proud that I have that big fireplace in this house.

I had heard that my grandmother made it that big so that she wouldn't get cold.

Katia then nodded when she saw the fireplace.

"Ok, I'll do the cooking. I'm sorry but can I borrow your kitchen?"

"Ah, Yes. It's over there."

The only thing I have in the kitchen is a small table a few feet away from the fireplace.

And the only utensils I had were a knife and a wooden cutting board.

Katia took out the dragon meat wrapped in paper, then she put it on the wooden cutting board after that she removed the paper and then cut it cleanly with the knife.

She cut the meat cleanly without wasting any unnecessary movements.

Katia then sprinkled some pepper on the meat which she cut into bite-size pieces.

Eh, pepper?

Thanks to the trade between countries, pepper has become much cheaper, but it's still expensive for the average person.

I wondered if Katia, who generously sprinkled pepper on meat, came from a well off family.

Unaware of my question, Katia took a frying pan from the wall then she put the meat on it and began to cook it.

Because the dragon meat produces a lot of oil so it doesn't stick that much to the pan that's why it's really easy to cook.

Katia looked like an expert cook as she shook the pan and reversed the meat.

Maybe she cooks on a regular basis.

Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to do it so quickly.

It's amazing that she can cook so beautifully even though the heat is so high.

If it were me, I'm sure I'd burn it.

"Katia-san, you're used to cooking, aren't you?

"Yeah, it's because I have a lot of younger sisters."

"You have younger sisters!"

And a lot of them!

I'd love to meet them all!

Katia's POV

After she had cooked the meat Katia then placed it in a round white bread that has been cut in half.

She added some vegetables and drizzled some homemade sauce that she had brought and it's done.

The name of this dish is called the Dragon Burger.

When one bites into it, the savory juices from the dragon meat overflow, and as the bread absorbs the juices it will be making it more delicious.

The vegetables and the sauce also enhances the flavor of the meat as it add a crunchy texture to the tender meat and bread, making it an exquisite dish.

This is one of the favorite foods of Katia.

"Uhmmmm, it's really delicious, Katia-san."

Zekudo eats the Dragon Burger with a big smile on his face.

Katia thought that his smile was quite cute.

"Hmmm, we still have some more so don't hold back and eat up."

"Thank you very much!"

As expected of a 15-year-old boy in his prime.

He eats much more vigorously than her younger sisters.

It was a good thing that I had brought a lot of bread so that I can make a lot of sandwiches.

Seeing Zekudo eat with pleasure reminds me of my younger sisters in the past.

My cute little sisters are now able to cook on their own so they no longer need me to cook for them.
