Chapter 100 – Hole, Again

After one week, I returned to school. It took this long because we wanted to make sure my body had recovered and to explain the circumstances to the school.

I had to do supplementary classes and an exam to compensate for the tests I lost, and I was worried if I would remember things I learned more than 10 months ago, but after a whole week cramming those subjects in my head, I was somehow able to pass.

There were mixed reactions to my return, warm people, people that looked from afar, rumors and so on, but the people I was close to were overall happy. And while there were rumors about it at first, they disappeared in less than 2 months because of midterms and the school festival.

I changed how I behaved after all this time, I now stayed as much time with my parents as possible, while still studying and playing around at school. I wanted to enjoy my everyday life so as to not regret it when I returned to Alselia.

Tomoko also introduced me to a coffee shop in which I started working part-time, I was apprehensive at first, but got over it because it’s an experience I would never have if I didn’t go for it now.

I was also worried if it wouldn’t be a problem if one day I disappeared suddenly, but it seems that my help was enough to offset that. The owner was already an old man and was having a hard time taking care of the establishment by himself, so any help he could get would be greatly appreciated.

As for why I wanted to work… Money of course, I wanted to buy something for my friends, family, and even the owner of the coffee shop. I also wanted to buy something for our teacher, but it couldn’t be anything expensive or it could be misunderstood.

Seasons passed multiple times and now we’re graduating from High School, we’re passing through the yet to bloom Sakura that our school is so proud of. It’s a shame this isn’t happening in April, which is when they would be in full bloom.

In both mine, Miharu’s and Tomoko’s right hands, are matching rings that I bought for us, they were expensive, but I loved the design and had to get them. The two of them were pleased with it, but we couldn’t wear the rings at school due to the regulations… It’s not a problem now that we graduated though.

While we walked, I started thinking and looking around slowly. Once the ceremony ended, I still wanted to think, so I parted with everyone and stayed in school instead of going home, I went to our classroom once again.

It seemed like I had to work hard every day ever since I came back from Alselia. I didn’t have much time to think about while it was happening, but I had a very fulfilling high school life overall. Of course not all memories were happy, some were painful and unpleasant, but the impression I have is mostly good… And I had a lot of fun too.

Now I need to bid farewell to this school that holds all these memories. I reached the classroom we spent our last year of high school and stayed there for only a brief moment before turning around with my bag and leaving… With this, it was done, that was enough of a farewell.

I still had my magical pouch with me, or rather, I always carried it. I don’t know when I’ll return to Alselia, so I never let go of it.

Step by step, I moved down the stairs. Those were the stairs I slipped from and fell into the black hole last time… Of course, I won’t do that again.

While thinking of that, I made my last step… Which did not connect to the ground, there was nothing in the place there was supposed to have soil.

It was only natural that I fell inside it in this kind of situation… “Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!” And with this shout, I once again fell in a black hole.
