Chapter 24: Blood Moon Werewolf Killing (2)

Only Lou Ming was on the bus. Jin Tianyi glanced at him lightly and, as if noticing something, immediately took Chu Huai’s hand.

In Lou Ming’s eyes, this sort of Jin Tianyi’s action was tantamount to a declaration that Chu Jiao was his woman.

Lou Ming’s face darkened.

Why did Jin Tianyi always have such good luck?

In the last instance, Jin Tianyi by chance met the ghost child who had been dismembered and made into pork. Jin Tianyi played a marble game with the ghost child and afterwards, he obtained a way to survive.

To be honest, Lou Ming felt that if he’d run into that ghost child, he could’ve also solved the riddle and taken everyone out.

If that beauty beside Jin Tianyi was assigned to his apartment, she would likely become his woman.

Chu Huai allowed Jin Tianyi to hold his hand and they found a place to sit down.

The door closed and the bus began to move forward.

Chu Huai looked at the time, waiting for the newcomer to be randomly entered.

Jin Tianyi had explained to him before that the survival case of the older participants was higher compared to the newcomers. Ghosts would attack the experienced participants first, and so the newcomers were fairly safe.

Even so, the death rate of newcomers was still much higher than that of the more experienced participants.

In terms of reasons, it wasn’t important even if you had a poor mental state.

It was only when you were favored by luck, did you survive.

However, the older participants didn’t think like this and they usually had no time to care about this sort of thing, either. They thought that only when they had a sensible mentality could they survive.

For instance tier 5 and above, the world would provide newcomers a clear path to survive and a very long duration for them to take a break.

But whether they could catch up with it or not was another matter.

In such an instance, the experienced participants would be in a more dangerous situation, therefore, if he was careless, without a doubt, he would probably die.

The instance of ‘The Crazy Blood Moon City’ would start at 6 pm and end at 6 am tomorrow morning.

Now there was only… one minute left until 6 pm.

Frowning, Chu Huai’s gaze was still locked on the watch on his arm.

Why hadn’t the newcomer appeared yet?

One minute…the time was not enough for him to explain to everyone.

When Chu Huai looked up again, dozens of people had appeared in the car out of thin air.

Because Jin Tianyi was sitting next to him, no one came to talk to him randomly.

There were only fifteen seconds left.

Chu Huai glanced at everyone until his eyes landed on a girl with black, long hair.

Xingran?!

Why did she come here, too?

Three seconds left.

While Chu Huai was lost in thoughts, Jin Tianyi suddenly realized something; his pupils contracted, then he grabbed Chu Huai’s hand tightly.

He looked at Chu Huai and only had time to say three words: “Wait for me!”

Jin Tianyi’s voice was somewhat strange and loud.

Chu Huai was dumbfounded, but before he could ask anything, his head already became dizzy.

Then, he blacked out.

This was a square-shaped, desolate city. There were also hundreds of iron locks, each of them weighing more than 60 kilograms hanging on the city’s gate.

The city was stuffy without any wind.

The dense vines on the ancient wall should be the only living thing here.

Thousands of houses in the city were also exactly the same.

The huge city resembled the chessboard of GO1 and all the houses also happened to be distributed where the horizontal and vertical lines intersected.

Chu Huai began to recover his consciousness.

He felt that someone was pressing onto him; that person was tearing at his clothes, and his hands were extremely rough and violent.

He couldn’t move at all.

With much difficulty, Chu Huai finally managed to open his eyes. Only to meet with a pair of demented eyes, and that man’s face was rotund. There was also an atrocious scar on his forehead.

“In this fucking horror world, Laozi may not be able to survive, therefore I should have a good time with such a beautiful girl before I die.”

Raping a woman?

Chu Huai’s pupils suddenly enlarged and he began to recall everything that had happened a while ago.

His strength also recovered.

There was a deep coldness in Chu Huai’s eyes.

“Awake? That will be more thrilling!” The man laughed presumptuously.

Chu Huai also laughed.

This man wished to fuck him?

“Ah…” The man’s eyes widened.

A fruit knife suddenly pierced through his spine fiercely. And Chu Huai’s hand was holding the knife.

Chu Huai took advantage of the man’s injury, immediately slamming him onto the ground before stepping on the man’s face.

“Bitch!” The man yelled while struggling miserably.

He had never thought that such a weak woman would be this skilled.

Chu Huai sneered, he stabbed the knife into the man’s oversized body ruthlessly.

There was a stream of blood flowing out from under the knife.

The man finally stopped struggling; he hugged his bleeding belly and began to groan.

Chu Huai stood up; his eyes were very gloomy.

At that time, he had been only seven years old when he came into the mental hospital. There was a brutal person who’d wanted to rape him.

That person had once committed a crime by raping a woman, and he was supposed to be put in jail. However, he’d pretended to be crazy and stupid, therefore, he was sent to the mental hospital.

Later, if it wasn’t for the doctor who had arrived in time, maybe he had already…

Chu Huai took a deep breath.

That man was sent to jail by him afterwards. Chu Huai wanted that man to live in jail forever.

The clothes had been ripped off, hence Chu Huai seemed to be in an embarrassing state.

He laughed helplessly since he had never expected that he would encounter this type of thing in the horror world.

And only at this moment did Chu Huai have the time to observe his surroundings.

There was a white moon hanging in the sky that was clearly visible. Chu Huai also caught sight of several dilapidated houses that were facing in the same direction.

Everything around him was extremely quiet, and only the man’s groaning sounds could be heard.

He had been separated from Jin Tianyi and Song Chen.

At this moment, Chu Huai finally understood the meaning behind what Jin Tianyi had said before he fainted.

Because the situation was urgent, Jin Tianyi couldn’t complete his sentence and what he wanted to tell Chu Huai should be—if the landing location is random, then we will be separated, so you must wait for me to find you.

Chu Huai glanced at his watch, the time was 6:08.

It seemed that his body had weakened for some reason, and when he woke up, he’d already encountered a rapist.

Indeed, dressing in women’s clothes brought him a blessing, but it also made him meet this type of problem.

In other words, there wasn’t any perfect choice between him being a man or woman.

Chu Huai prepared to leave, he needed to understand the situation first. However, the man on the ground cried out all of sudden.

Chu Huai turned around, his pitch-black pupils instantly flashing with a fierce light.

Should he…kill this man?

What if by a coincidence this person didn’t die, or if this kind of desperate appearance was just an act. After he left, would this person cause harm to others?

Even if this person truly didn’t have a knife in his hand, what if he encountered a weak woman, then what would happen…?

Guessing about everything that might be possible, Chu Huai walked back.

The man felt threatened; for a moment, there was fear in his eyes.

“Please don’t kill me!”

“I’m really obsessed with sex! I was wrong! I want to live!”

“Aren’t you fine right now? I haven’t done anything to you yet! Don’t come over!”

The man trembled, the blood on his body continued to flow endlessly.

Because the man’s voice was too loud, it had already engulfed the sound of footsteps behind Chu Huai.

Suddenly, Chu Huai’s wrist was caught by someone.

Chu Huai’s response was extremely quick; he turned around and wanted to attack the unknown person’s shoulder.

The mission goal of The Crazy Blood Moon City was…to identify ghosts that were hidden among you.

Except for yourself, everyone could be a ghost and also your enemy.

Lou Ming pinched the edge of the knife that was stained with blood between his fingers, then he held Chu Huai’s wrist while snatching the knife away.

“It’s you?” Chu Huai frowned, yet he was still wary.

“I’m not welcome here?” Lou Ming smiled.

He didn’t expect his luck to be so good that he bumped into Chu Huai here.

Lou Ming walked towards the man while playing with the knife in his hand. Under the moonlight, the knife radiated a fierce light.

Lou Ming squatted down in front of the man. Ignoring the other person’s begging noise, he immediately used his left hand to lift the man’s chin cruelly, while his right hand was holding the knife.

With a ‘poof’, the tip of the knife plunged into the man’s throat deeply, and he was killed with a single blow.

Lou Ming used the man’s clothes to wipe the blood on the knife, then he walked back and handed the clean knife to Chu Huai.

Lou Ming smiled: “Can you tell me your name now?”

Chu Huai took it: “Thanks, I’m Chu Jiao.”

“Don’t say that, I didn’t help anything; in the end, you would have killed him by yourself.”

What Lou Ming had said was an affirmative sentence, and he could see it very clearly.

Chu Jiao was an erratic person, he couldn’t defeat her at all in the clue competition.

After he returned, Lou Ming had watched the replay. At first, he saw Chu Jiao pointing the knife towards herself, and he couldn’t help but feel pain for this woman.

Lou Ming realized in an instant—because of his carelessness, it was obvious that Chu Jiao could’ve won easily; however, she still chose the final choice of cutting herself.

She was so cruel to herself, yet she had sympathy towards the corpse.

The corpse… was it a human?

In his opinion, his answer would be no.

What was the difference between human corpses and animal corpses?

People ate chicken, duck, pig, and dog corpses. And it was also normal for the ghost to eat human corpses.

To put it bluntly, it was only a pile of meat.

Human feelings? Hadn’t all of them come into the horror world? So, how could they talk about human feelings?

While he was laughing, Lou Ming suddenly wanted to protect this thing that he had already given up.

Even if the other party was Jin Tianyi’s person.

Chu Huai was noncommittal.

“This kind of trash is not worthy of your hands.” Lou Ming said.

He took off his jacket and handed it to Chu Huai, letting him put it on.

Lou Ming suggested: “Shall we go together?”

Chu Huai nodded. In some sense, he needed Lou Ming’s protection; the other did have a high combat ability.

The two were about to leave, nonetheless, a phone suddenly rang near the corpse.

Translator’s note:

Actually, the duration of this second arc is only 2 days, but in chapter 17, I put ‘three days’ and I just realized it, therefore I sincerely apologize to everyone here for my mistake also, no worries, I already corrected it in chapter 17;)
