I'm The Boss's Secretary?!
Chapter 332 - Finding The Answer-I
"Mistress," the fortuneteller repeated as she stood up on the ground and Seoyeon watched her left toward the left corner of the room. Bending down, she lifted the old carpet that covered a square part of the corner. The dust that snowed on top of the duvet then danced on the air with her movement.
"I remember the eldest dark witches also called themselves as Mistress. They want to be one who stood above others, the head figure which why they chose the title but... they have died. I remember before my death a fragment of memories where I saw the lair of the dark witches was flattened to the ground."
"But is it not possible that she is still alive, like you?" Seoyeon gave the question and the fortuneteller didn't immediately brush off the guess. Rather, she kept a silence, her brows drawn.
"I never thought about it..." she said honestly. "All the pain and hatred I went through mattered more to me and in the beginning I casted aside all the life of being a witch though I kept being dragged by it. It is also why I chose to isolate myself here."
Seoyeon understood the woman's side of view. If she was in her shoes, she would also cast aside her previous life and find a new happiness and joyful memories in her new life.
"Have you ever wondered why Haneul decided to bring you back to life too?" Came Seoyeon next question as it dawned to her what she had been seeing as fishy and off the remarks.
"Because she hates me." The fortuneteller was confident with the answer but it appears to Seoyeon the woman's eyes were blinded by hatred which why she couldn't see the obvious which Seoyeon could.
"If I were in Haneul's position, I would rather bring back my friend than a person who I have killed, who I know would hate me and use a chance to kill me if I bring them back alive. I don't mean to suggest or assume anything, but I think you are missing something here."
The fortuneteller for once suddenly felt her state of mind getting clearer with what Seoyeon had pointed out and realize that indeed as Seoyeon had said, there were things that didn't fit each other.
She was perhaps only one in a few people Haneul have killed in the past, not worth of remembrance, yet the woman chooses to bring her back alive when she could be her greatest enemy.
"The only answer lays on my dream," Seoyeon reminded and she saw the fortuneteller nodding her head.
"The book of about dream realms is suppose to be here. Wait and meanwhile, you should take care of him," the fortuneteller tipped her chin but regardless if she reminded Seoyeon, the latter had been beside Jung Hwa, taking care of her wholeheartedly.
In the Hunters' building, Seojun walked across the corridor with his cheeks grazed and blood seeped down to his chin.
His eyes went to Kwon Huan who stood beside him. The man had found out that he was on Seoyeon's side just as soon as they left Lee Young and after a fight which ended on his lost because of Kwon Huan's sudden surprise attack, he was now brought to Collin's room.
Shit, thought Seojun.
He didn't care about being punished. In between the Hunters, betrayal is equivalent to death. The punishment the Hunters had was beyond a human's law. They would either be banned from the Hunters and had their entire memory about their existence wiped out, or others who help the target they are assigned of would face other psychical punishments.
The punishment was not the current worry for Seojun as to him it was something he could endure but the problem was if Collin was to use the white with who cooperated to work with them to run through his memories. Seoyeon's location would be revealed and she would be in danger!
When the door was opened, Seojun looked at Kwon Huan who released his hand while at the same time pushed him to enter the room. The door was then closed so he won't have any more escape route.
"I was wondering who would come this late. Moon, Black, what is with your attire? You two look tattered," Collin, who was holding a bible closed it by slapping the two leaves of the book together, placing it aside and his feet was quick to come toward Seojun.
Seojun didn't have time to react as almost immediately Collin had caught his jaw, "This wound on your cheek, what is it? I thought you two left to meet Mr. Lee. He is not someone who would unreasonably attack people."
"Sir," Kwon Huan immediately speak, catching the attention of Collin and Seojun cursed underneath his breath.
He slipped out the small dagger he had tied on his sleeve, now holding it on his palm. If they were going to force him to give out Seoyeon's position, then he would rather have a fight once and for all and escape or if the situation called for it, he would have no choice but to keep himself silent forever.
But before he was able to do anything, Kwon Huan caught his hand that was holding the weapon with a vice grip.
Though he did not speak, Kwon Huan's strict gaze on Seojun was enough to warn him not to attempt on what he planned in his mind.
"Speak," Collin said, his hand was still on Seojun's jaw.
"We have went and check the house of Mr. Lee. There I concluded Mr. Jung and the catalyst haven't visited there," Seojun stared at Kwon Huan with his eyes subtly widening.
Was this man on his side?
But his hope was crushed when Kwon Huan continued, "However, on the way out we then met the catalyst and the pureblood."
Seojun's eyes widened, and he tugged his dagger, wanting to create a scene and run away if possible but couldn't budge.
"Are they the ones who attacked you two?" Collin then asked and Kwon Huan bowed his neck.
"Yes and as for their location—" Kwon Huan spoke while his eyes looking back at Seojun's livid gaze, "We have found where it is."
"I remember the eldest dark witches also called themselves as Mistress. They want to be one who stood above others, the head figure which why they chose the title but... they have died.
