I'm The Boss's Secretary?!

Chapter 37 - Traces Of Deaths-I

The sky had turned in a tinted orange and blues hues. Stepping out from a restaurant where they held a meeting, Han Seoyeon gave a polite bow to the guests they had a meeting with as she stood beside Jung Hwa. Feeling a little stuffy, Jung Hwa loosened his tie and spoke. "Did you received the dress already, Secretary Han?" Han Seoyeon had been thinking when to thank him for the dress as they had been busy and gave a nod.

"Yes, thank you very much, Mr. Jung, for the dress. It was very beautiful." She didn't hold back her thanks. The last gift she ever received was when she was in her third year of Highschool, which means it had passed more than five years she hadn't received anything from anyone and receiving one made her heart fluttered. She felt a little like a kid, excited when she was about to unwrap the gift.

"I'm glad you are fond of it." He said. Jung Hwa saw her eyes brimming with excitement and felt his choice of the dress should be a good one. After entering the car, they went back once again to the company. Seeing her time, there was only an hour left until she could go back home and before that, she thought of making him a red tea and did. Knocking twice with a wooden tray, she received his words and pushed the knob down to see the man was drinking from a cup, and inside it was a thick red colored liquid which was blood. Looking that he already had a drink, she spoke. "It seems that you would not need the tea now, Mr. Jung. I will go back now."

"Wait." He halted, his eyes were still staying at his computer before it left completely from the screen. "No problem put the tea here." He tapped his finger on the empty spot beside his left arm and she went to place the teacup down. Taking the tray to her hand, she felt his eyes and turned to meet his gaze. "Is there anything wrong, Mr. Jung?"

"Don't you feel repulsive seeing me drinking blood?" Normally human who was a place in her position now would have made a paled expression or a blunt disgusted one. Not that he expected those from her but he was curious about what she thought.

"No. I wouldn't lie if I say it's strange to see blood in a cup but I think it isn't any different from humans eating and I don't see any fault in you drinking blood when you don't kill a human." He felt he had expected her words when he asked her the question but hearing it directly from her lips made him happier.

"That's great." He whispered when his phone suddenly rang, taking the two's attention to the phone. "You can go back now, Secretary Han." Jung Hwa stated before taking a look at the caller's name. Right before she left, she saw how his smile faded into nothing as though there had been never a smile staying on his lips when he saw his phone.

"What are you calling me for?" His sharp words were enough to show how he dislikes the other person who called him.

"Well, well, don't be too angry, I don't call you, for now, reason, Hwa." The man spoke casually, having Jung Hwa to tick his tongue.

"Don't call my name, Chung Gon." He took his phone away from his ears ready to end the call when he heard the man shouting. "Wait! I don't care whether you don't like my call but it's the associate who needs you now. Under Lee Young's other that is."

As much as he hated talking with the man who was responsible for his mother's death investigation only to say his mother killed herself, the associate's order is absolute for the vampires, especially him who was a pureblood vampire. Having the noble lineage, most purebloods were responsible for the peace between the vampires' society including him and his grandfather. "What's the problem?"

"The murders in Myeongdong, we've found a lead. I also don't know what case had just arrived, Lee Young told me to send you the location too." Chung Gon said and received nothing as a reply from Jung Hwa. After the call ended, Chung Gon who sat on his darkroom sighed. The woman who slept beside him woke up from hearing his sigh and wrapped her hand over him. "What's wrong, Mr. Chung? Work?"

"Something like that. I will go now." The woman pouted her lips. Clinging she coquettishly lined her finger on his jaw. "There isn't a need to be in a hurry, isn't it? We can still have some fun."

"It's urgent, you see. I'll see you later." He stood up, buttoning his shirt. Seeing Chung Gon went to exit the room, the woman spoke again. "When will you met me again?"

Chung Gon turned his face, his deep brown eyes brimming with mischievousness. Threading a few strands of his brown curly hair, he left a grin enough to palpitate the woman's heart. "If I want to see you again."

Han Seoyeon works continue to busy without leaving her time to breathe. After collecting all the documents she had to check from the marketing office, the corner of her eyes noticed Jung Hwa's office turned dark and before she had the time to ask herself, Jung Hwa opened the door. His black eyes looked a little red from the drinks he had previously but something about him held an annoyed expression which was rare for her to see.

"Are you going home first, Mr. Jung?" She remembered how he said he still had works left to do and that he could go home before him.

"It's the vampire's society works, I'll go now." He declared bluntly as Han Seoyeon had known his identity. "You can go home now, Seoyeon it's late and I can't have you harmed by an old man again." His fingers stopped by her shoulder and the anger he once had disappeared.

Seeing the gentle smile he had she almost forgot what she had wanted to say to him. "Why are you calling my name casually?"

"I will call you Secretary Han only when we are at work but now we are not." His Hand trailed toward her neck when it came to a stop. Holding his finger, she gazed back at him. Sparks flew when their eyes met. "Please do not touch me as you like, Mr. Jung." He was a very handsome man and Han Seoyeon knew with just a little push she could fall for this man and it was her reason to stop him from doing anything more that could raise her hope before she told him the truth.

"Tough." He whispered with a grin. It was what made him fall for her.. "I don't hate it."
