Nathan's POV - April 8, 2014

It has been a very busy few months. I couldn't bring myself to meet with team flash yet. I could have created shadow clones, but those duds act so weird I can't send them to act as me to anyone who is remotely familiar with me. Anyway I should just call Cisco and ask what he is working on. Barry is THE medical mystery after all.

*Ring Ring Ring**Phone Opens*

Cisco: "Hey Nathan its been ages. Why haven't you called me yet?" acting hurt.

Nathan: "Sorry Cisco. I have been very busy with the move and you know, Trish..."

Cisco: "Don't worry, you'll find someone better anyway." Trying his best cheer him up.

Nathan: "Thanks. Anyway, what are you working on now?" Changing the subject quickly.

Cisco: "We have this dude that was hit by lightning and is actually have his heart beat so fast that the machines can't register."

Nathan: "Really? That seems interesting, might if I take a look."

Cisco: "Sure thing. Just come by tomorrow" He said excitedly at the idea of seeing his friend, most of them were avoiding him since the incident.

Nathan: "See you tomorrow"

Cisco: "See you"

Flashback - December 11, 2013

*explosion sounds from far away*

May: "Did you hear that?" with a worrying tone. And just when they were about to answer Ben's phone ring.

May: "What happened?" Scared and worried from the look on her husbands face.

Ben: "Apparently the particle accelerator exploded, the city is in a state of chaos. I need to go to the hospital." He said wearing his jacket. "Nathan I know you are tired from your flight but we need all the help we can get, so come on."

Nathan: "Sure, juts let me get my coat." He got his coat and they both left the house to go to the hospital. "Stay safe mom" he shouted towards May.

Flashback End

STAR LABS - 9th of April

Cisco and Caitlin can be seen a young a.d.u.l.t in his mid 20s.

Cisco: "Yo Cait. Remember that friend from high school I mentioned, Nathan. He is coming here today. He wanted to take a crack at our mystery case in here." Pointing towards Barry.

Caitlin: "Cisco I can't believe you would just tell about this to anyone. I know he was your best friend but he probably couldn't even begin to understand what has happened to Barry, he is the medical mystery of the century."

Nathan: "Well, I don't know about that. I am a pretty smart cookie myself."

Cisco: "OMG. Nathan its good to see you" hugs him in a manly fashion.

Nathan with a small chuckle "You too Cisco." Breaks the hug "May I see Barry's charts Ms. Snow"

Caitlin: "It's DOCTOR Snow." She says with in a cute but irritated tone.

Nathan: "You are a doctor as well?" with a hint of surprise in his tone. She nods as a confirmation with a hint of anger and gives him Barry's chart. "Alright let me take a look... His muscles should have atrophied, but instead they are in chronic and unexplained state of cellular regeneration. His heart rate goes off the charts. Whatever is happening to Mr.Allen is probably is beyond modern medicines understanding. He might be a bigger medical mystery than Brooke Greenberg" he said, surprising Caitlin, since he was able to deduce all this so fast.

Nathan smiles and says "Currently his body seems to be adapting to some form of extreme adjustment, it is beyond anything I've ever seen. His body might hold answers to countless possibilities. I am assuming what is happening to him is due to the accident."

Caitlin: "Yes. That is what we believe in as well." taking back Barry's chart back. "Dr. Wells thinks what happened in the day of the accident changed something in Barry and now he might hold the key for numerous medical treatments and further advancement in physics." Trying to one up Nathan with her intellect.

After few hours of talking about Barry's situation and chit chatting with the two, Nathan and Caitlin quickly became friends. However, Nathan noticed Caitlin hasn't smiled all this time once so he decides to help her out a bit with getting over Ronnie.

Nathan: "So Cisco tomorrow is my birthday and I still haven't had much time to make new friends in the city, would you two might accompanying me to 'Club Central'" he said

Caitlin: "We will?" She asked surprised by Cisco's action.

Nathan: "Great. I'll see you there." He said

Caitlin: "You will?" She asked and by then he had already left. She turned towards Cisco with an angry look about to rip him a new one, but was stopped by Cisco.

Cisco: "Wait Caitlin, before you rip me a new one hear me out." He said, looking smaller than ever

Caitlin: "Go on." Still as angry

Cisco: "Look Caitlin. I have known Nathan since we were kids and like you he had a bad falling out with his partner. Going out for a night will help you both. Please do this for me and if you don't feel better by the end of it you can rip me a new one." hoping that it was enough to diffuse the situation.

Caitlin, after reining her anger she finally said "Fine Cisco, but you owe me one"

Just outside the main office

Nathan: "Please just call me Nathan, Dr. Winters is my father. And you must be Dr. Wells. Its a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you." with a genuine interest.

Wells: "That is not something many people say, especially after the incident" faking a self-loathing look. "Anyway Cisco speaks very highly of you. And I find myself agreeing with him"

Nathan: "Thank you very much. I gotta go know, but it was nice meeting you"

Wells: "You as well Nathan" As Nathan waved at him and said goodbye, he got chills running down his spine.
