Lu Bu had the army of 18thousand split into 6thousand and 4thousand to surround the other exits leaving 8thousand at the front.

Within a tent, Lu Bu, Zhang Liao, Gao Shun, Song Xuan, Wei Xu, Hou Cheng, and Lu Tianlong sat within discussing how to advance.

Lu Bu: how should we advance?

Hou Cheng: Big brother I suggest launching an all-out assault with flame arrows shooting into the fort!!

Wei Xu shook his head and said that would cost too many lives since they have prepared already. We could starve them out till they surrender.
