Mrs. Smith walked out of the room after having a short chat with Jessica. As she was out suddenly she felt that someone was standing behind her. she abruptly turned around to only discover two men standing there with a curious look on their face. Mrs. Smith heaved a deep sigh and slowly closed the door behind her.

"Did she like the room? Is she comfortable? What are the things you talked about?" as soon as the room's door was shut Mrs. Smith was questioned by her husband and father-in-law. "She is fine. She was tired so I let her sleep. Regarding the talks, we can wait till tomorrow morning and do it with Steve." she assured both of them. After a short discussion, they went to their respective rooms feeling very sleepy.

At midnight,

A shadow quickly moved in the corridor without making the slightest of noise. The person was as fast as a gust of wind. The person moved out of the door and into a black car which was well hidden in the bushes.

As the car approached the dark forest near the Mansion it turned into a grey color as a logo of a flying dragon appeared on the sides of the car. The car moved down a ramp and stopped in the middle of a deserted parking space. A man dressed in black hoodie which covered his face came out of the car and went into a room with other three people waiting for him stepped forward and greeted him.

The next day, Smith Family Mansion

Jessica woke up as the sunlight came into her room through the windows. She got u from the bed and stretched before taking a shower and dressing up to go downstairs.

Jessica walked down the stairs with a noble aura surrounding her. She wore a pair of royal blue trousers and a simple white shirt. She looked fairy-like in even casual and simple clothes that all stared at her their eyes almost out of their sockets.

Suddenly everyone who was staring the girl felt as if someone was looking down on them from the top of the stairs. As they saw up the stairs they spotted a man with an evil grin on his face looking at them with a lethal aura. Seeing his evilness everyone lowered their gaze as Steve walked down and sat next to Jessica who had already started eating.

Steve took a slide glance at Jessica. Her face was a slight red as she had just taken a bath, her hair was not fully dried and her beautiful eyes glimmered like they were made of thousands of glimmering stars. He continued to stare at her as she looked leading to his eyes until someone hit his head with a spoon.

"Stop gazing at her like a wild beast staring at its prey. Eat your food and let others eat too." Mrs. Smith shouted in anger at her son. Steve just lowered his head and did not lift it unless his bowl was empty.

"Come to my study after you are done eating," Steve said as he stared at Jessica with a somewhat angry expression. "Ok!" Jessica said as she continued eating in a carefree and with no rush. This pissed Steve off and he shot an angry look at Jessica before leaving with a grumpy face as if he was a child who had been denied his favorite dessert even after he was promised to get it.

*Knock*Knock*

"Come in" ordered the person inside the room. Jessica walked in and saw the serious expression on Steve's face. Steve looked up at Jessica who was still at door. "Sit on the sofa. I will talk to you once I am over with this project." Steve said as he gestured towards the sofa his eyes still on the computer screen.

Jessica came into the room and sat down on the sofa taking the book on the coffee table and flipping through it. After reading about a few chapters, Jessica felt a bit bore. She stood up and went to the windows admiring the sceneries outside. The mansion was surrounded by a very beautiful garden with a lot of colorful flowers. The colors stood out even more in contrast to the long spread dense green forest.

"It is beautiful!?" the man who was just busy with his work had stood up and walked towards Jessica. "Yeah. It's more than beautiful." Jessica said her eyes still fixed outside. "Hmmm..... Let's talk about some business now." Steve said as he walked back towards the desk and took out a blue folder from the first drawer.

"These are the evidence I promised," Steve said as he looked at the confusion on the look of Jessica. He could not help but be mesmerized by the glitter in the eyes of Jessica as she flipped through the doc.u.ment taking every little thing in. Suddenly the lively eyes were filled with sadness as she closed the doc.u.ment and put it aside.

"Are these not fine?" Steve asked. "No... It's just that I could not bring myself to believe this..... It's a bit hard to go through these closed memories again." Jessica said trying hard to suppress the urge to cry.

Steve got up and moved towards the window facing his back to Jessica as he said, "Jessica, my mother always tells me that the birds fly from their home for a better life. I think you should learn from them"

Upon hearing his words Jessica realized that she was being emotional now and composed herself before standing up and moving towards Steve. "Your mom is right, I do have many things to learn from this world," Jessica said as she stood next to Steve.

"Mom asked me to bring you down with me. She has something important to talk to us." Jessica said as she picked up the folder and was ready to go out. "Alright I am coming you move ahead," Steve said as he arranged the doc.u.ments on his table and safely placing them in one of the folders before going down. He was already aware of the 'important talk' his mother had.
