Innocent Love Of A Deadly Gangster

Chapter 46 - RESPONSIBILITY

The next morning they woke up in the dirt they had themselves created. The sat on the bed stared at each other and then at the mess. They broke into a fit of laughter. Yesterday night they had fought like kids and now they were responsible to clean this up. Getting down the bed they started cleaning.

After about half an hour, the room was cleaned and they both were ready to go downstairs.

It was a warm atmosphere downstairs. Moher Smith was instructing the servants while Grandpa Smith and Father Smith sat side-by-side, one reading the newspaper while the other watching the television. The couple walked down and greeted everyone before taking their seats next to each other.

"Jessica dear, what would you like to have for your breakfast?" Mother Smith asked as she observed the couple. "Anything will do, mom," Steve answered her before Jessica could say a word. Mother Smith angrily glanced at Steve and this gave him a chill through the spine. He was not afraid of loss in his business but afraid of his angry mother. when she was angry she was no less than a storm.

He gulped down nervously waiting for his mother's hailstones, but to his surprise, nothing happened. His mother just gave him a smile and said in a sweet voice which was quite threatening "my dear son, I am not interested to talk to you I am talking to my daughter. You should keep your mouth SHUT." Hearing her words Steve subconsciously put a finger on his lips looking terrified.

There was a short silence in the room before everyone broke into a fit of laughter. Jessica was the first to laugh and the last to stop. She was accompanied by Grandpa Smith. Steve stared at their laughing faces and a smile broke on his face. His eyes glittered and he continued to stare at her before he was forcefully shaken by Mother Smith.

"Do you want to eat her with your eyes? Stop staring at my diamond-studded daughter or I will trap you in a room." Mother Smith threatened him again. Steve slowly looked at his mom's scaring face and chuckled, "if you will lock me in the room who will accompany your precious 'diamond-studded' daughter to the party tonight. Many unpleasant and useless insects would keep their eyes on your precious daughter. There will be no one around to shoo those flies away."

Mother Smith got angry and said, "okay! okay, go with my child and if there is even a small scratch on her I will tie you upside down outside for a total of two weeks. By the way what party is it about?" "It's Amy's brother, Ron's party. It is soon his birthday. It is a private party not many people will be there only some close friends of Ron and Amy." Jessica replied.

Her train of thoughts was broken when Steve touched her hand. She looked at his smiling face. "Let's go shopping. I have ordered a few designs for the party lets go and look at them in the mall?" he said tightening his grip on her hand. She just nodded and got up. "Hey! Eat first then go where you want to go." Mother Smith commanded. "No way, mom. I should take the responsibility to arrange a romantic dinner for my would-be wife so she is not snatched by any other useless fly but by your precious 'rubies-studded' son." He then winked his eye at his mom and went out with his fingers intertwined with that of a blushing Jessica.
