The warriors who ate Dante's large skullforce were incapable of combat and passed out. There are thirty warriors who have just fallen, incapable of fighting, there are twenty left to fight. All 20 of them are lower end, least combative. The Lower Warriors know, they didn't beat the Dantes. Skeleton Dante is strong, and so are his people, but they still have a plan.

The danger is high, but to defeat the Dantes, the lower-end warriors with weapons used all their power to throw black balls towards the Dantes.

"Ko, this is sleep gas!" Constantine said. Everyone wants to escape, but the sleep gas is too effective, and they're all getting sleepier and sleepier.
