Episode Four: Wind Clouds in Castle Town (Top)

Polearth was brought to life in this world as the second son of the Count Dalaim family.

In this Genos, there are only three families: the Counts. It is Saturas, which governs the lodging town, Turan, which manages the villas of the north, and Dareim, which manages the farms of the south.

Polearths was born in the home of its Earl of Dalaim family, so it would be a famous house without deception.

But Polearth couldn't help but feel that he was so formidable. Even if the Earls of Dalaim were a famous family, the benefit would hardly have been brought to the second son Polearths.

In the first place, there are too many nobles. Even though Genos is a moderate territory that exists at the end of the border, there were numerous nobles there. The Marquis of Genos has three great counts, the Viscounts, the Barons and the knightly nobles - so much so that they are unwilling to account for how many of them are.

More or less, I hear that in the territory of the extra world, Dareim does not crown the Earl family title on any scale. Besides, it was also a story that it was a custom unique to Genos that there would be so many more Viscounts and Barons without a definite territory.

It was the intention of some generations ago that Genos became such an unusual territory.

The presence of Genos is a peripheral border, but it was possible to develop greatly, taking advantage of the rationale of the land, which is close to the friendly Sims and Jagals and far from the hostile Mahdra. In the time Polearth was born, it was enough to be whispered that he was second only to Alglad, the king's capital.

Some generations ago the king would have foreseen the end of that.

And it was Genos, far from the king's capital, who accumulated power and threatened to fly the rebel flag like the Grand Duchy of Zelad.

As a result, the territory of Genos was divided.

The territory of the Marquis de Genos was only considered a castle town surrounded by walls, and the farms and lodging towns supporting its foundation were to be deposited with the three great counts - no, in order to divide the territory, the Marquis family was given the title of Marquis, which resulted in the birth of a new one called the Three Great Counts.

Is that what happened about a hundred years ago?

In the hundred years that followed, Genos had a growing aristocracy. The Marquis and the Counts continue to have more bystanders, and those who have achieved something are given the title of Baron or Viscount. Such things as the Barons and Viscounts in Genos were merely permissible to retain mansions in aristocratic areas of residence, but they still remained unchanged to be aristocratic.

(Well, I guess the Baron or Viscount owner is still more thankful than the Count's second son or something)

Polearths thought so.

Something like a second son doesn't get a footlight unless the first son is hit by an odd disaster. Polearth was reminded of that fact with his own hands.

All Polearth should do is assist his father or brother in his work and socializing. I live my days as usual without being awarded any official position like this. What an elegant life compared to the civilians who work sweating on their foreheads, but Polearth never felt happy about it. Although I never felt unhappy, I couldn't find my place.

(I do not exchange anything like this, I wonder if I will end my life in peace. I know you're too arrogant to call that unhappy... but it doesn't make any difference that you're bored.)

Porlearth thought that way as he tinkled the fruit liquor poured into the glass of vitreous wine.

It is now home to a feast held at the Viscount of Talfone. Anything tells the story of a scholar from an academy administered by the Viscount's lord being awarded a medal, such a feast was to be held.

Well, for an approximate aristocrat, it would be a less involved story. The Viscount Talfone family in the first place and not the high-formatted households, and so were the guests being invited. Polearth himself, his father and brother pushed him into this role, and he's probably just in attendance.

Still, Polearths is the family name of the Earl's family, so it will be a lot of fun in these places.

but that's the kind of hospitality that makes Polearth so vain.

No matter how entertained you are at the feast, you have no power to move the Count family to Polearths. The crowds are all looking to the presence of their father and brother, who refrain behind Polearth, so there was no way that they would not be vain.

"Lord Polearth, what the hell happened to you being pulled into such a corner?

and the voice of a tense woman has called out as such.

Looking back, a magnificent lady comes closer with a feast costume that is not too gorgeous on her fuzzy limbs. She was Matilla of the Viscount Alphonse, the great aunt of Polearth.

"This is, uh, hiccup, Matilla. Congratulations."

She was a noble woman, but also a deputy director of the academy. She is a lady who has a strict and honest temper and is difficult to handle.

"Yes, thank you very much.... So what the hell are you doing in a place like this?

"As you can see, I enjoy fruit liquor. Tonight, it's a big night."

"Then shouldn't we have more fun in the middle of the hall? You are attending this feast in your father's honor, so you should behave as you deserve."

She is a strict lady.

As for Pole Earth, all I could do was laugh vaguely and delude myself.

"Yeah. After a little rest, I think I'll go back over there. It was a bit of a crackling feast, so I got tired."

"Really? Maybe you should get on a tototoss or something to build your body and mind, too. That's how the Marquis Genos and the Earls of Saturas are kept in a soothing workout."

That was how he lined up his words, and then Matilla returned the calumny.

"Now, if you'll excuse me.... Nicola, there you are"

Polearths was unaware, but he also refrained from the idle young lady in the shadow of her great body. The young lady, who had such a shameful face, gave a bowl of grace to Polearth, and then went after Matilla.

(Did you pull out such a ten year old or their daughter for a feast? I wonder if even my future son-in-law would like to see it)

Whatever it was, Mathila, who was the sidestream bloodstream of the Count Dalaim family, was like he was pushing his way with that talent.

Her daughter-in-law, the Viscount Alphonse, had also heard the rumor that she was in a lot of a decline, but perhaps she could also rebuild it if it were Matilla.

She is also in the position of deputy director of the Academy, even if the reconstruction of your home did not take place. Compared to Pole Earth, I guess I have a few full days.

(Yeah, looks like your feelings are going in the dark today. Can I get some air outside?)

With a liquor glass still about half of the fruit liquor left in his hand, Polearth decided to head to the garden.

Originally, Polearths is not a shady temper. Rather, the surroundings would suggest that it is bright or capable weather. I have no desire to deny that, and I hope to spend my days feeling as bright as possible. Things didn't get better where I mourned my less fruitful life, so then I wanted to live positively.

(I just wonder which direction 'before' is in for me)

Porlearth stepped out into the garden at night as he raised a little glass of liquor to the guard standing at the entrance to the garden.

Of course the lights are on in the garden, so there is no relying on the eyes. Still wanting to escape the gaze of the people and guards in the square, Polearth decided to go deep into the garden.

The lights go away, they get dimmer and dimmer, but the air feels sober.

Having found a table and chair for a break in the corner of the garden, Polearth placed a sipping cup there and then said, "Hmm!" He nodded heavily.

Really, I can hear the adorable scream "Shah" coming from beyond the darkness.

"Oh, that? Is anyone there?

When Polearth called in surprise, the little shadow came in unexpectedly.

She is still a very young lady dressed in a banquet costume. He had a loving look as he was associated with his voice, but he had a very embarrassing look on his face.

"I'm sorry. I never intended to trample and vandalize the garden..."

"Oh, no, I'm a guest too, so I can't apologize."

"Huh? So what are you... doing in a place like this?

"I had a little break, I was just walking in the garden."

"Then I am with you," the young lady grinned.

Laughing makes me look more and more loving. Polearths, too, could naturally smile back.

The age looks a lot younger than Polearth, 21. One head is probably smaller than Pole Earth, and he has a very laid-back body. I have no doubt that he is noble from that feast costume, but he was an unrecognizable opponent of Polearths.

"But how could you have pulled into such darkness? Has something been dropped?

When Polearth asked, the young lady shook her neck beside her with a "no".

"I was just chasing a blueworm."

"Give me a blueworm... what?

"Yes. If you wanted to sit in this seat, you had a big blue bug crawling on the ground there. The movement was adorable, and I followed it."

The servant Polearth, too, was to lose his word.

The young lady dyes her cheeks a lot more shy again.

"I'm sorry. Since I was a child, I have always liked insects... and my family has told me to behave more like a lady..."

"Hey... I've heard of hobbies that love beautiful bugs like butterflies, but I didn't know that I loved blue bugs."

"But isn't it cute? He's almost like a toddler."

She had a very innocent smile as she blushed her cheeks in shame.

So again, Pol Earth is induced to smile too.

"It seems hard to understand how cute the blueworm is to me. However, you may find that a good meaty blueworm looks delicious"

"Well! Will they eat such adorable blueworms?

"I won't eat it. That's not going to taste better than Karon or Kimmus."

"That would have been nice," the young lady breathed as she did her hand to her chest.

Polearth laughs again because the trick was so delightful.

"Thank you for your light mouth. I am the second son of Count Dalaim's family, and my name is Polearth."

"Oh, excuse me for not even naming you. My name is Merrim, and I take my name to the last seat of the Earl of Saturas."

From that word, I guess it's a bypass blood muscle. In the first place, I did not think that the highly regarded Earl Saturas family would be invited to attend this feast.

But she doesn't seem to have anything to do with temper. Besides the feast, he's the kind of person who chases after the blueworm.

(The Earl of Saturas had such a delightful daughter, too)

Polearths, what a pleasant feeling.

The young lady, who named herself Merrim, smiled forever as she watched such polearths.

Then Polearth was to develop a slow bond with Merrim of the Earl of Saturas family.

She was, after all, a bypass blood muscle. It is the blood of my grandfather's brother, Luidros, the current lord. If three generations had separated themselves from this family before, it would have been a format that should no longer be called a nobleman.

Nevertheless, I don't care about format or anything like that for Pole Earth. Polearths and most likely a second son. If even a great-grandson were born in Polearth, it would be in the same format as Merrim. Contempt for it was supposed to be an act in the same line as contempt for itself.

(It's a good example that it's not a formality that determines human value)

Merrim was a very preferred person.

It goes without saying how loving its appearance was, and the inner one was more loving and delightful than that.

Whatever, she is the daughter who says she is adorable and so on. There was no other lady in Polearths' small relationship who would be so delightful.

I hear Merrim is sixteen years old and has two sisters and one brother upstairs. So the sisters were married for a long time, and the brother was talking about a fine official position, so he seemed to be bored as the family of the last remaining room dweller.

"Tell you what, maybe Merrim is in the same position as I am. I'm looking at my father's and brother's backs, which I seem to be busy with, and I'm living my days in peace."

"But Polearths is the main family, and whatever you say, you're my lord, so are you going to help your father or brother with your work? I don't think it compares to me or anything like that."

"No, no, actually, it's just a tiny bit of a job that I'm entrusted with. Attending a small banquet in the name of my father is perhaps the best job."

When Polearth made him say so at a certain feast, Merrim smiled at me with a smile.

"I would now like to extend my sincere congratulations to Polearths that such a task is entrusted to him. That's why I'm having such a good time."

Yes, it was usually these places of feast that Polearth and Merrim, most of them nobles, would face.

And yet it is all a small feast of scale. Polearths and Merrim do not have the opportunity to attend large banquets. That fact was making Polearth happy again.

(This means that if I were the first son of the Count, I would not have visited this opportunity to visit with Merrim. I can't believe I was glad I had a second son, isn't this the first time I've been born)

My father or brother would have to forbid me from laughing if I found out Polearth had such emotions. But for Polearths, that was the true heart that could not be falsified.

Polearths, of course, and I am not satisfied with the present situation. However, Merrim's presence has been a great peace of mind for Pole Earth today. That's what Merrim was all about, cleansing away the thin blurry depression that nested in his heart.

It is only once or twice a month at most that Polearths is ordered to attend the feast.

With that rare opportunity, Polearth slowly grew bonds. Try to go out to the feast, when you find out Merrim is not in attendance, etc., it is something that has already been thrust to the bottom of your disappointment.

Exchanging words with Merrim was a real pleasure.

I'm not having any fruitful conversations. It's just chatty chatter that other people can't hear. It would not have been worthy of nobility, nor would it have been worthy of men and women of old. It also soothed Polearth's heart so much.

"Kimmus' face, it's adorable, isn't it? Those flat beaks look like they're laughing all the time."

"Kimus' beak. Ah. Speaking of which, you've never heard of using beaks for ingredients, even though your head feathers are known as quality ingredients."

"Well. Polearths makes everything talk about food."

"But Kimmus is the bird you're raising to eat, isn't he? If you loved it, you'd be pathetic to eat it."

"Is it? Though I like Kimmus' foot meat."

All is well, at that rate.

When asked what the hell is fun, there is no word to return it, even as a polar earth. However, when Merrim and I were exchanging words, we could return to the hearts and minds of children.

At an early age, I was never dissatisfied with my situation. My parents were not only loving to me, but maybe more relaxed and raised than my brother. Speaking of which, my brother has been dealing with my father for a long time and I think I have been dealing with my mother for a long time. I'm sure that was because my brother was an important trail, but Polearth seemed more comfortable with his laid-back mother than his strict father, so he was rather pleased.

"Doesn't Master Polearth send flowers to Master Merrim?

One day, Shayla, a samurai apprentice, was to be given those words.

Shayla was a thirteen-year-old girl and had been appointed to accompany Polearths since this year. Polearth was not comfortable with what he styled, so he ordered him to behave without abomination in the sight of his father or brother, but it is how he has just put it into practice.

"Flowers, are those flowers? Why should I send Merrim flowers?

Since it was also a feast that day, Polearth was still the one whose costume was chosen by Shayla. Shayla smiles dusty and innocently as she pulls her blue shoulder from the costume shelf.

"'Cause it's been a long time since you and Merrim got along, hasn't it? Isn't it about time?

"You don't know what it means to be around. That's not how Merrim and I get along."

"So what kind of friends are we?

At last, a samurai apprentice is not a word for her husband. but it was Polearth himself who ordered him to do so, so how difficult it was together.

"Right...... tell me, is it like siblings? I only have a brother, so I'm not sure, but maybe if I had a sister, I'd feel something like this."

"Are you siblings? I think that's a nice story... but I don't have a brother, so it seems a little hard to understand how Polearth feels."

Speaking that way, Shayla had a slightly unfortunate face.

Well, I guess daughters of these ages are something that comes to mind when it comes to sex. As for Pole Earth, I had no choice but to smile bitterly.

(If I send flowers, etc., Merrim will be in heaven. So if the soothing relationship with her breaks down, you don't have an ex or a child)

Polearths did not look like a beautiful man in flattery. I have thick bones, similar to my father, and like my mother, I like flesh. Now, because the face is top-heavy, what a tight appearance. My father, brother, etc. had a tough face and seemed likely to be recognized as a favorite boy if it was around Jagal, but it was not difficult for Polearths to inherit such elements.

(Well, maybe it's not the ugliness of appearance that a man wants, it's the inner metric... because it's not like this one)

Merrim is such a wonderful woman that she should marry her rightful partner. Even if it was in a format, it didn't seem very good that I deserved it.

(That's okay. As it is now, I am fully satisfied)

With that thought in his heart, Polearth was to head to the feast place of the day.

Even today, it is a small ball hosted by a certain Baron family.

As soon as we stepped into the hall, we were able to discover Merrim's presence.

While I offer my thanks to Western God in my breasts, I first exchange greetings with the people who are in line. Even today, the Marquis and Counts only attended about bystanders, and Polearths seemed to be the most formatted guest.

Finish one street greeting, pinch the dish offered to you so sorry, then head to Merrim in a foothold that you can't see as much as possible.

In the pleasant performance of the musicians, Merrim, who was tumbling on the wall, looked out the window blurry.

"It's a hiccup, Merrim. You never looked at me again today."

Merrim looked back quietly as Polearths called out with a floating feeling.

That face, which is always frantic, looks a lot sinking. It had been more than six months since I met Merrim, but it was the first time I had seen such a look.

"What is it, Merrim? Is it bad for you to add up or subtract somewhere?

"Oh, Pole Earth...... no, it's nothing. You are doing well, above all."

Merrim remained on the same look and pinched the hem of the banquet costume to greet her.

To its appearance, Polearth remembers such a heartbeat.

"What is really going on? If you're not feeling well, you should rest somewhere."

"No, my body is nothing. It's just... a little bit of a hassle has happened..."

"A troubling thing? I'll talk to you about everything, if you don't mind!... Of course I may not be of any help..."

"Thank you very much," Merrim smiled.

After all, it is their only expression.

"But please don't worry about it. I guess this is all a story that no one can do about..."

"But sometimes it's easier just to tell someone, isn't it? When Merrim looks at me like that... I don't even know what to do."

When Polearth desperately said it, Merrim lay her eyes down softly.

"I apologize for any concern you may have had with Polearths. So...... would you mind listening without laughing?

"Yes! Don't hesitate to say anything!

"Actually... my mother brought me in to talk to you."

Polearths felt the world lean about.

"Oh, are you on edge...... excuse me, but with whom...?

"Viscount Mardel's, your lord's brother, isn't he? Your name is… I've lost my mind."

To that response, Polearth was increasingly beaten.

"Viscount Mardel's, your lord's brother? I don't think I know him either... but he must have been a lot older, right?

"Yes, I think he was my father's age."

"So when you're that brother, aren't you a lot older?

The response was yes.

"I hear you are the same age as my mother. So you're 44 years old."

Merrim is the youngest son of four brothers and sisters, so that would be a natural age.

but it is natural because she is a mother. I didn't think Merrim was his natural age for the person giving him the wedding.

"Why should Merrim marry someone your own mother's age? Something... even exists in impeccable circumstances?

Marriage for nobility does not just arise at the end of love. That's about as much as Polearths is concerned.

Merrim's response, however, was no.

"Perhaps you don't even know my name and face there and yet. However, my mother is just out of line by herself..."

"Duh, what do you mean? Didn't that man sign you up for the wedding?

"Yes. My mother must have boiled the business because I am not quite close to you. So I thought I'd bring him along."

"Well, that's why they chose you. Why are you there? If you were Merrim, there would be a more deserving prince, wouldn't there?

"Not at all. I'm sure it's hard for you and your little girls like me to find someone to talk to."

With that said, Merrim exhaled into a slice.

"He seems to have a lot of temper, and if he were so far apart, he would never give his love to a little girl like me," my mother seems to think.

"Yes, but Merrim, 16, gives a wedding to the 44-year-old too...... why is he single at that age in the first place?

"Some years ago, he said, he lost his partner. In the meantime, I hear that your children have grown up well."

Even those children must be older than Merrim.

As Polearth was losing his word, Merrim exhaled again into the cuts.

"If you are going to marry a strange little girl like me, I have no words of gratitude. I would sincerely like to dedicate myself to you."

"Yes... is it..."

"Yes, I would like to reassure my mother quickly that I lost my father and became weak... and my brother and sisters also insisted that I give her a wedding as soon as possible. You must be ill fit to stay single forever and trouble the Count's mansion."

Saying so, Merrim pinched the hem of the banquet costume all the time.

"So it's okay to talk about the wedding. It's just... I really feel so bad sometimes... can you ask me without laughing?

Polearth squeezed his temper and let him answer, "Of course he does," he said.

Merrim, laying low in his eyes, glances at Polearth and smiles at him.

"If I give you a wedding, you'll be attending these feasts as your companion in the future, right? And then... even Pol Earth won't be able to chat like before... and that's what I thought."

"Ha... chatting with me...?

"Yes. For me these days, this kind of time talking to Polearths has been irreplaceable above all else. What do you think you are so desperate for with such foolish chatter..."

"Yes, no! That's never the case!

Pol Earth shouted loudly as he fell into the extreme of perplexity.

Merrim, finally facedown, smiles adorably to encourage herself.

"When these parts are childish, I guess they make my mother worry. I'm more of a person who doesn't end up like that than I am talking about a fringe that I've finally lifted, where I get my feelings captured by the loss of a place to talk to Polearths. As a lady, you must be ashamed."

"No, never such a thing..."

"It will surely take some time to give you the wedding. Until then, please, I would be more than happy to chat with you as always."

Polearth felt an incompetent sentiment rise from the depths of his belly.

Driven by that passion, he said, "Um!" and raise a loud voice.

"Me, me, I have a plan. What do you think?

"Yes. Is that a proposal?

"Yes. If Merrim thought that's how much time he spent talking to me..."

Polearth felt her knees tremble.

As a person in the Count family, perhaps Polearths is trying to inflict an extremely disproportionate act.

However, there was no room for such a physical appearance in Pole Earth today.

"Me, me, why don't you and I have a wedding?

Merrim rounded his eyes properly.

Polearths tries to get his heart squeezed by emotions that are also similar to fierce shame and fear.

"Me, too, the place to talk to Merrim was irreplaceable. This is gonna be lost. I can't believe it's nothing but pain for me. Besides, it's unbearable to me that Merrim would give a wedding to Jen, whose face and name are uncertain!

"Ha... before I give you my wedding, I wonder if you will know my face and my name... but it's not possible that me and Polearth will give you a wedding. Isn't that a story?

"Duh, how is that impossible? Is it because I am a nobleman of no avail?

"Not at all. Isn't Pole Earth the home muscle of the Count's family? I should be the only nobleman."

"But I'm a stubborn second son. You know I don't have any power, right, Merrim?

"No, I know how kind, pleasant and warm-hearted Polearth is"

Merrim was smiling as troubled as she lowered her shaped eyebrows.

"It should be me who has no power whatsoever. I'm sure you and your brother in Polearth will not forgive your dear family for having an affair with a nobleman like me."

"My father or brother, it doesn't matter! I wish to marry Merrim myself!

Merrim finally smiled as troubled, "What shall we do," he said to his chest.

"No way, I never dreamed I'd be able to say those words to Polearths... it's kind of like my heart's going to pop out of my mouth"

"Well, that's the same for me!

Polearth asked Merrim to give him his trembling fingertips.

"Here, I will tell you the formal offer of the wedding just in accordance with Genos' gesture. If Merrim... Merrim doesn't feel bad about it himself... could you dance to one song?

Merrim didn't seem to hesitate to do anything, and he took Polearth's hand.

And - the moment its soothing fingertips touched Polearth's almost fingertips like a blueworm, Merrim dyed its cheeks red for the first time.
