4 Conflict over the plane seats
Lilith appeared on the Smartphone screen. Theo was surprised but quickly calmed down. He hadn't felt any negative feelings when he lost the laptop containing Lilith's personality, and now that he had recovered her, he didn't feel any positive emotions either.
If you had to describe what Theo was feeling, you could say it was indifference. Theo didn't care if the laptop disappeared or not that he couldn't talk to Lilith anymore, but he was curious about what was going on.
"Where's the laptop?" Theo asked.
Lilith, from inside his cell phone, made a victory gesture as she smiled.
"Pandora's box can change its appearance, why couldn't Prometheus do it?"
With Lilith's answer, all the doubts Theo had disappeared. After demanding a more concrete answer, Lilith explained to Theo what had happened.
When old Lin gave Pandora's box to Theo, he programmed the Prometheus laptop, which contained Lilith's personality inside, to be transformed into a mobile once it was in China. It seemed that the old man had everything planned for when he was ready to enter the Asian country.
Theo felt that the change was excellent, as it would be very annoying to have to open Pandora's box whenever he wanted to communicate with someone or look for information. Also, there would be places where I couldn't take out the pandora box.
"Where's the airport?" he asked Lilith.
The city had no airport, so they had to look for an airport in another city.
"In city Y, about 100 kilometers from here," Lilith replied.
Theo looked at the time. It was still 8:30, and the flight left at 10:00, there was still an hour and a half before leaving.
"Well, let's go."
Once on the street, Theo stopped a taxi.
"Brother, how much does a trip from here to Y City cost?" Theo, with a warm smile on his face, asked the taxi driver.
"City Y? I'm sorry, we only do tours in this city." The taxi driver responded politely.
Seeing that Theo was not a client, the taxi driver quickly said goodbye and left.
"A pity, a pity. Looks like I'm going to have to take the car I gave the old man."
When Theo arrived at Lin's old man's house, it was already 9:00. The car was still at the door of the old man's house, so Theo would have no trouble getting to the airport.
"Old man, give me the car keys," Theo shouted.
The old man's voice soon reached Theo's ears. It was a soft, deep voice, which seemed to be dragged through the air. It had nothing to do with the irritating old man who was counting the money the day before.
"I knew you were coming back, the keys are in."
Theo went straight to the car. Old Lin's voice reached his ears again.
"You left your mask in the car, don't forget to take it with you."
Theo, who was already sitting in the driver's seat, looked at the back of the car and confirmed that the crow mask was still there. Through carelessness, he almost left his favorite mask behind.
"Thank you," Theo muttered.
He didn't know if the old man had heard it or not. The damn old man was too strange, and Theo wouldn't have been surprised if he was some kind of god.
Once the car was started, Theo took out his new cell phone and left it in the copilot's seat.
"Lilith, find the fastest route to the airport."
The mobile screen lit up, and the image of Lilith sitting at a working desk appeared. She seemed to be looking for something on a computer.
"I've found it! Follow my instructions."
With Lilith's help, Theo was able to skip a few jams and get to the airport on time. Once there, Theo went through all the necessary migration processes before getting on the plane.
At 9:58, Theo showed his virtual ticket to the manager and boarded his plane.
Inside the plane, the stewardesses were explaining the functions of the plane and safety when an 18-year-old boy dressed in etiquette entered.
"Gentleman, can you tell me what your seat is?" A middle-aged woman approached Theo.
"Row 12, seat A."
"All right, follow me."
The stewardess walked in front of Theo, pointing out her seat.
"Here's your seat." The woman pointed to the seat that was attached to the window.
"Thank you very much." Theo thanked her with a smile on her face. The stewardess, already in her forties, blushed at the warm smile on Theo's face.
Theo looked at his seat. In-seat C, which was the seat next to the aisle, an elderly woman was sitting, while in-seat B, which was the middle seat, there was a young woman in her twenties sitting. Both were Oriental women, and Theo deduced that they were Chinese because of the destination of the flight.
"Excuse me, madam, could you let me in?" Theo asked with fluid Mandarin.
The old lady was surprised and gave Theo a look from the top down. His Mandarin was so good that it could be confused with a local.
"Hehe, of course." The old woman got up to let Theo through.
Theo would prefer not to disturb the old woman, just as he would not have liked to be disturbed, but the space was so small that the woman had to get up to let the boy through.
The old woman made room for Theo, and at the same time, she gave him a strange look.
He then looked at the young woman. She was looking on her mobile with her headphones on, so she had neither heard nor seen Theo. He tapped her shoulder to get the girl's attention.
Noticing that someone was calling her, the girl took off a headset.
"Aunt Shi, what do you want?" The young woman asked without taking her eyes off her cell phone.
"Miss, this young man wants to get to his seat, could you let him pass?" The old woman, helpless, replied.
The young woman looked up from her mobile when she heard the old woman. She looked carefully at the young man who was looking at her with a warm smile on his face. The girl frowned and looked at the old woman.
"Didn't I tell you to tell the flight attendants that the place by the window couldn't be sold?"
Theo felt something was wrong.
"But miss, this young man's ticket says that's his seat."
"I don't care! Let him sit somewhere else." The young woman waved her hand, put on the handset, and looked at the mobile again.
Theo hadn't seen such an unreasonable young woman before, couldn't he sit in his seat because she didn't want it?
The stewardess noticed something was wrong and approached. The old woman explained what had happened quickly, and the stewardess tried to convince the young woman.
"I said, no!" The young woman still refused.
"But there are no more seats, does it bother you so much to sit next to the young man?" The stewardess was just as helpless as the old woman.
"If I say no, it's no! You think I, Feng..."
"Miss, we aren´t in China!"
Before the lady could finish, she was interrupted by the old lady's voice. Theo had guessed before that they knew each other, so he don't miss this scene. The lady clenched her teeth and finally let Theo sit down.
"All right, all right!"
The young woman, tired of listening to the stewardess, reluctantly let Theo pass. Theo thanked her once more without leaving that warm smile on his face and sat close to the window.
Once the problem was solved, the stewardesses repeated the safety rules one more time before the plane took off. The young woman who had let Theo pass threw strange glances at him from time to time. Seeing that Theo didn't intend to talk to her, much less look at her, she couldn't take it anymore.
"Hey," She called him.
"Mmm, do you need anything, miss?" Theo politely asked.
She might be traveling in the economic class, but some things couldn't escape Theo's sight. He could identify that she was from a noble family because of the posture and the clothes she wore. The latter seemed average, but the delicacy of the material they were made of did not go unnoticed by him.
The young woman felt strange when she heard the boy call her a young lady. Perhaps a few months ago, it would have been fine, but now she did not have the confidence to be called that.
"Don't call me Miss, my name is Feng Huiying." The lady introduced herself.
"Theo" Theo's answer was simple, he had no intention of engaging in unnecessary conversation.
"Theo, of Theodosius?" Feng Huiying asked.
Theo nodded. Seeing that Feng Huiying never asked again, he turned his head and looked out the window at the stage.
If you had to describe what Theo was feeling, you could say it was indifference. Theo didn't care if the laptop disappeared or not that he couldn't talk to Lilith anymore, but he was curious about what was going on.
