JOJO hiding in the hunter world

#167 - Pariston's Discovery

“Mr. Pariston, the chairman is out.”

Mendouren looked at Pariston, who was gesticulating wildly as he explained, with a helpless expression.

Pariston still wore his professional fake smile, “This is troublesome. I still have something to discuss with the chairman! Can you tell me where the chairman went? Mr. Mendouren.”

Mendouren looked embarrassed. The chairman had just ordered that this matter should not be spread, especially to Pariston and Ging. Mendouren dared not reveal the chairman's whereabouts.

“I also don’t know where the chairman went. He didn’t tell me. You know this. The chairman doesn’t want us to know, and I don’t dare to ask.”

Something's wrong. Pariston's expression darkened, and his face showed a hint of shadow, but Mendouren didn't notice it. He just felt that Pariston was a little scary.

That's not right. Mendouren is definitely hiding something from me. Mendouren lied.

Pariston still maintained his signature smile. The terrifying aura flashed away and he returned to his usual gentle and refined, approachable appearance.

“This isn’t the first time. The chairman has always run out like this without saying a word. It should be nothing. He’ll come back after he’s had enough fun.” Mendouren looked at Pariston guiltily and scratched his bald head.

He lied. The chairman's going out is definitely not just for fun. Although the chairman used to sneak out to play many times, the people he sent to follow him would never be shaken off.

That's just how the chairman is. He won't avoid any traps you set. He's used to an invincible life, and he loves those innovative challenges.

He never cared about Pariston's little tricks. He enjoyed watching Pariston and others fight for power and intrigue. So he turned a blind eye to the Zodiac Affairs Association.

But today, the chairman shook off all the people he sent. This abnormal behavior was impossible for him to do before.

The chairman must be hiding something from him. He only knew that the chairman boarded a private airship and then knew nothing.

“Oh, then I’m bothering you, Mr. Mendouren. Do you want me to help share some of the official duties?” Pariston glanced at the shredder that hadn’t been turned off.

“Then I’ll trouble you. I’m grateful.” Watching Pariston smile as he took a portion of the documents from the table, Mendouren breathed a sigh of relief.

He finally got through it. He almost couldn't hold on any longer. He hoped the chairman could really resolve it quickly.

Pariston walked out of the chairman's office with the documents in his arms, and the smile on his face disappeared. He had no expression, like a robot. If he wasn't still moving, he could be mistaken for a wax figure.

As soon as the elevator door opened, Pariston returned to his usual gentle and warm smile, politely greeting everyone.

It has to be said that although Pariston's popularity among the Zodiacs is not very good, being rated as the second most hated person, his prestige in the Hunter Association is still very high.

Many people are deceived by his gentle and harmless appearance, allowing Pariston to form the largest society in the association, the Zodiac Affairs Association.

He knew that since the chairman didn't want him to know about this, there must be a reason, but nothing major has happened recently.

At least these so-called major events were not enough to make the chairman of the Hunter Association hide it from the vice-chairman and go there in person.

Pariston put the documents on the table and stroked his chin, thinking for a while.

He picked up the landline next to him and made a call.

“Go check where the chairman’s airship is parked, but don’t track the chairman. This time, it might be a trap. I don’t want you to get caught.”

“I understand, Lord Pariston.”

Pariston waited with a smile. After a while, someone finally pushed the door open and entered.

“Mr. Parker, how is the matter I asked you to do?”

The suit man with a little stubble put a stack of documents on Pariston's desk.

“The chairman didn’t want the information before, right? No, you know that the chairman doesn’t usually care about these things.”

Pariston waved his hand to interrupt him, “Mendouren should have provided him with some information. I don’t know if there are any traces left on the Internet.”

“I understand, I’ll go check it out.” The suit man excused himself.

“It’s already the third time. It’s the third time you’ve gone beyond my sight. What exactly do you want to do, Chairman?” Pariston drank the glass of red wine that had already been aerated.

Bo Te Bai, who was far away in another city, was indeed at a loss. He and Polo had been looking for Jon's traces for a long time but couldn't find them.

All the surveillance footage had been searched, but Jon's whereabouts could not be seen.

“Now we can only say one thing: Jon or the people from the Passion Organization must understand some anti-reconnaissance techniques, as well as specialized disguise methods. Trying to find him in such a big city is like looking for a needle in a haystack.”

“Are we just going to watch him run away? What if the chairman comes and they run away? ”

Polo also scratched his head to express his annoyance, I don’t know either. I’m not from the Passion Organization, how would I know where they went.

“The only thing we can do now is wait.”

“Boss, another bowl of rice, I’m starving.” A thin middle-aged man shouted.

“Coming, coming, don’t be anxious. What’s the use of being anxious? The rice has to be steamed. Do you want to eat raw rice?”

At the same time, Jon was indeed exceptionally dashing. He casually stole a set of clothes from a clothing store. This was a large shopping mall, and it wouldn't be noticed immediately if a piece of clothing was missing.

Then, using Knum's Divine Transformation to disguise himself as an ordinary-looking middle-aged man, if they could find Jon based on this alone, Jon would stand on his head and eat that thing in person.

Even if Jon was standing in front of Bo Te Bai and Polo now, they wouldn't think of Jon.

Jon eliminated the largest gang in this city for them, which could be considered a great help to them, so taking a piece of clothing is not too much, right?

Asking for a reward for doing good deeds is also the golden spirit.

Although the shopping mall has an alarm device, who would have thought that the person stealing clothes was a space-based ability user? Directly avoiding all infrared sensing devices.

The world may only have one space-based ability user who is so bored as to steal a piece of clothing.

Then, using the money left on his body, he had a good meal at a small restaurant, living a very comfortable life.

Jon picked his teeth, burped, and left dashingly.

It's just that the accommodation at night is a bit difficult to solve. He can only make do in some small places.

Jon climbed up the wall with Ripple, skillfully prying open a window.
