JOJO hiding in the hunter world

#171 - I have an exam tomorrow. I need to review the textbook.

The faint morning light filtered through the light blue curtains into the room. The curtains softened the light, casting a gentle blue hue instead of a harsh glare. The room wasn't large, but the light streaming through the window was enough to illuminate it brightly. The wooden floor had aged to a light brown color. A boy, around twelve or thirteen years old, sat motionless on the bed, his expression blank, almost idiotic.

He was Lu Youguang, a young man from Hua Country, a recent college graduate. He'd spent four years at a third-rate university, barely scraping by with a degree. There were plenty of college graduates like him; this worthless diploma would likely make it hard to find a job. He and his roommate had been working on a game together, but instead of making money, they'd lost some. After drinking a bit of wine, he'd passed out and woken up here. Luckily, he had a younger brother, so his parents' care shouldn't be a problem.

The boy's bed wasn't far from the mirror. Sitting on the bed, he could clearly see his reflection. Five minutes ago, he had merged with the memories of this body. His name was Jon Bellosovich, male, twelve years old, black hair, black eyes, five feet five inches tall, decent looking, healthy with no bad habits. Not an orphan, parents alive, no house, no car, no little sister, and no star-shaped birthmark on his neck. No broken engagement, no Qi, no magic. This seemed like a safe world.

"Jon, come down for breakfast!"

The boy snapped out of his gaze, got up, quickly straightened his clothes, and hurried downstairs.

Jon was fostered in the home of his mother's former butler. Jon had grown up in the old butler's house since he was a child. He also took the butler's surname. The butler and his wife were good to him, raising him like their own son and never skimping on his allowance.

"Jon, why are you getting up so late today?" The butler's wife turned her head to look at Jon, then turned back to tidy up the tableware.

Jon picked up the mouthwash, walked into the bathroom, unscrewed the cap, and gargled twice. He grabbed a wet towel from the side and wiped his face haphazardly before going to eat.

"Hey, Jon, is something wrong? You seem strange today." The butler's wife looked at Jon with a suspicious expression.

Jon's expression stiffened, then he put on a warm smile. "Nothing's wrong, I just didn't sleep well last night. By the way, are we having apple pie again today?"

"Of course, hurry up and wash your hands!" The butler's wife's attention was instantly diverted. "Geez, we've been eating apple pie for two days now." Jon breathed a sigh of relief in his heart, secretly thinking, 'Thank goodness I was quick-witted, I almost got found out on the spot.' To be discovered less than an hour after transmigrating would truly be a disgrace to transmigrators. Although he inherited the memories of his predecessor, some habits were still hard to change.

"Jon, I'm going out now," the butler's wife said, picking up a small basket, ready to leave. "Also, there's ice cream in the refrigerator, but don't eat too much."

Jon rolled his eyes. "I'm not a child anymore." Jon breathed a sigh of relief after watching the butler's wife leave.

Jon ate a few bites haphazardly and went upstairs. Because it was summer vacation, the twelve-year-old Little Jonuno had time to understand the world. From his memories, this world was definitely not Earth. None of the countries on the world map were ones he'd heard of in his previous life. And there was that bizarre continental shelf; Earth couldn't produce that even in another hundred million years.

Little Jon was still young and his understanding of the world wasn't mature. He couldn't determine which world he was in from his memories. Jon turned on the computer to search for information. This old computer belonged to the butler couple's son and was quite old. Based on the principle of making use of waste, they had given it to Jon.

The server took more than a minute to load. Looking at the recommended and top-ranked posts, he quickly typed a few words and clicked.

Looking at the answers given by the search engine, Jon was completely stunned. 'Whale Island, surrounded by the sea on all sides, residents mainly engaged in fishing, beautiful scenery, with a large number of rare animals.' Whale Island was the birthplace of Gon Freecss, the protagonist of Hunter x Hunter. Combined with the fact that the occupations of the wealthy on the rich list he had just seen were inexplicably filled with Professional Hunter, Jon was now convinced that this was the world of Hunter x Hunter. This world could be considered a mid-level martial arts world, with an extremely high degree of danger. What a safe world, my ass.

"I thought it was a slice-of-life world, but I didn't expect it to be the Hunter world." Jon lay on the bed, recalling the bits and pieces of his previous life. A fear of not being able to return home and a fear of his life being out of control intertwined. He recalled his homeland in his previous life. Although he was a wage slave, at least there was a government to stand up for you. You wouldn't be casually killed at any moment. In this world, if you were casually killed by the Phantom Troupe, who would you cry to?

Suddenly, Jon was stunned. He remembered the novels he had read on Qidian in his previous life. Under normal circumstances, the protagonist of a transmigration would have a cheat. He silently recited, "Grandpa, System-kun, Main God, if you're there, say something."

"System is activating..." A heavenly electronic voice came from his mind. Even the window outside...

What? System! I really am the chosen one! God still loves me after all! Jon suddenly became ecstatic. This definitely wasn't a dream. Thinking that he could also start on the path of showing off like other protagonists, killing in all directions, and reaching the top of the world. No, as the King of the World, how could he not have a harem of wives and concubines? The cheat has arrived, next is showtime! Thinking of this, his smile gradually became twisted.

"Detecting the energy system of this world, synchronizing..."

"JOJO's Bizarre Adventure activated."

Jon fell into a silence when he saw this name. This familiar interface, this familiar feeling... this seemed to be a terrible game that he and his roommates had made to get some popularity from Golden Wind. It had most of the Stands and items from JOJO parts 1-7. Because everyone was a JOJO fan, they made it very detailed, which resulted in an imperfect mall system, so the game was a money-loser.

"System, are you there?" Jon tentatively asked.

The system didn't respond. Jon understood in his heart that the system's intelligence wasn't high. He heard that some people even fell in love with system AIs, which he was a little envious of. But Jon was still quite glad that at least the system wouldn't kill him at the drop of a hat, and there wouldn't be a system spirit constantly chattering for no reason.

Seeing that the system didn't respond for a long time, Jon skillfully clicked on the newbie gift pack. Still the familiar recipe, still the familiar taste. Inside were three covered cards. One item card, one ability card, and one Stand card. Flipping the Stand card would 100% get you a Stand, but what you got completely depended on luck.

Emmmmm...

Luck.
