Journey Towards Greatness

Julian made his way towards the middle of the island to find Kahuna Hala, being the island Kahuna, he is the most important person on this island, he takes care of most problems here on the island and Julian thinks Hala can help him deal with the situation that is happening here in Alola.

Finding the residence where Hala lives was not hard at all, the area that he lives in has a massive alter right in the middle where most of the island events are held, and people from all over the island come here whenever there is a massive occasion related to the island and Hala is also responsible for arranging it.

Julian arrived near Hala's residence and looked at his surrounding, he saw a massive alter right in the middle which has been painted with colorful colors, there are multiple little colorful flags hanging over his head which is tied to multiple poles.

He saw the locals walking around talking to each other with big smiles on their faces, it looks like the people that live here are very content with their life here.

Julian then started looking for Hala and he was not hard to find at all, everyone on the island knows who Hala is and he just needed to stop someone and ask where Hala lives, the stranger pointed to where Hala lived.

Julian walked towards the biggest house in the area and knocked on its front door, soon after a few seconds the door opened and a fat old man stood in front of Julian.

He stood about 5'7 and weight about 110 to 120 kg, he has white hair, a mustache, and eyebrows, his eyes are squinted and it looks like he likes to keep them that way.

Hala looked at Julian with surprise, he didn't expect the new residents of Melemele island to give him a visit.

Hala "I didn't expect Sir Julian to visit me".

He said.

His voice sounded deep and heavy, a perfect fit for someone who is a leader.

Julian "I actually wanted something from you".

Julian said.

Hala "Come in".

Hala invited Julian into his house to discuss whatever Julian wants to talk about, they both walked in and Julian took a look around, Hala's house is very big but quite simple as well, he doesn't have any expensive things lying around his house even though he seems to be quite rich, even the electronic appliances in his house seem a little old than the ones used in the current year.

Hala "Have a seat, Sir Julian".

Hala said while pointing at the couch, Julian sat down and Hala brought some tea and snacks and served it to Julian, Hala also took a seat and then looked at Julian.

Hala "So what brings you here Sir Julian?"

He asked and folded his arms.

Julian "I want a Z-ring for this".

Julian said and took out his Normalium-Z and showed it to Hala, Hala was surprised by seeing it, one wouldn't get a Z-crystal unless one passes a trial on the trial ground or defeats a Kahuna.

Julian "I acquired it after I visited the Gumshoos trial ground".

Hala "I see, so you cleared a trial ground. As for a Z-ring, I can make you one, it will take a few days but I don't think you came here just to ask me for a Z-ring, you could have made a request through someone else".

Julian "You are indeed correct, I am actually here to inform you about the danger that has entered the Alola islands".

Hearing Julian's words, Hala became serious and he leaned forward subconsciously to hear Julian.

Julian "Have you watched how the Kalos league unfolded?"

Hala "Yes, it was quite chaotic, I am glad that people were not hurt during it".

Julian "Then you must remember the shadow pokemons that made their appearance?"

Hala "Yes, those poor souls, they must be tortured by their existence".

Julian "Well, that problem is here in Alola, the organization that is behind the creation of Shadow Pokemons is targeting the totem pokemons here in Alola".

Hala's frown got deeper as he heard Julian's words.

Hala "Are you sure?"

Julian "I am".

Hala "But why here, and why Totem pokemons to be exact?"

Julian "Totem pokemons are very powerful but not as powerful as some legendary pokemons, you must have seen the berserk Volcanion that destroyed the grand stadium in Kalos, those people couldn't control it as it was too strong, both mentally and physically.

They need a weaker pokemon to experiment on and the best candidate for that are-"

Hala "Totem pokemons".

Hala finished Julian's words as he held his chin in frustration.

Hala "Do you know when they are going to make a move?"

Hala asked.

Julian "From what I know, they have already made their move".

Hala "What do you mean?"

Julian "Right now, these people have not put everything into their operation, but some of them are already on the island and are looking for Totem pokemons".

Hala "Are all of them in danger?"

Julian "No not all of them, the ones that reside over the trial grounds are safe because the public knows about them, these people are targeting the ones that are hidden deep in the islands, far from civilization".

Hala "But this is still wrong".

Julian "I know and you shouldn't ignore the totem pokemons of the trail grounds either, they are not safe, the totem Gumshoos that I encountered on the trial ground was very aggressive towards me.

And I suspect it had something to do with these people trying to do something to it.

If this continues normal trainers who are trying to clear the trial grounds might be in danger".

Julian explained.

Hala just kept quiet and thought about what he should do.
