All of Ash's friends were glad that Rowlet was able to escape Crabrawler's grip, but they were still worried about the fact that Rowlet might lose because he had taken more damage than Crabrawler.

Ash also became more alert as he knew that he cannot allow Rowlet to approach Crabrawler, he cannot risk his Rowlet and let it get hit by another Power-Up punch.

Ash "Rowlet, use Leafage"

Ash said. Hearing him, his Rowlet started to flutter its winds and sent multiple leaf-like energy hurling towards Crabrawler.

Hala "Counter with Bubble Beam"

Hala was not going to sit idle and let his Crabrawler get hit by Leafage, so he called for a counter.

As the two moves collided, the Bubble Beam was successfully able to cancel out the Leafage, which came as a surprise to anyone as water-type moves don't fare well against grass-type moves. This just showed how refined and controlled Hala's Crabrawler is and how efficiently it could increase the power of a relatively weak move.

Ash's Rowlet is a very new addition to his team so it won't be as refined as his other pokemons, but this battle can sure make it grow stronger.

Ash wondered what he should do when he thought of something.

Ash "Use Leafage"

Ash once again called for a Leafage, so Rowlet flapped its winds and sent a torrent of energy leaves at Crabrawler.

Hala "It didn't work the first time. It won't work again. Crabrawler, counter with Bubble Beam"

Hala once again called for a Bubble Beam to counter. The two moves collided and created a cloud of smoke that Ash intended to use.

Ash "Now, use Peck"

Ash commanded

Hala's attention was locked onto the smoke cloud and his Crabrawler was doing the same as well. It didn't want to lose sight of Rowlet, so as soon as Rowlet emerges from the smoke cloud, it will prepare for a counter.

But what they didn't expect was an attack from the side. The smoke cloud was just a distraction. Rowlet actually flew around the smoke cloud without being noticed by its opponents because of its ability to fly silently.

Before Hala and Crabrawler could even figure out what was happening, Rowlet dove from the side and appeared right beside Crabrawler in an instant. It looked like Rowlet used Aerial Ace but it didn't. It was just fast enough to it seemed like it disappeared and reappeared elsewhere. It then landed another Peck on the Crabrawler, sending it rolling on the ground, but the assault was not over as Rowlet continued using Peck and started to maul Crabrawler with its beak.

This time Crabrawler took heavy damage, but Hala is not going to stand idly and let this happen.

Hala "Quick, use Brutal Swing"

As Crabrawler was being pushed back by the Peck assault, it slammed one of its claws into the ground and swung around with its other claw, which was covered in darkish-purple energy.

Rowlet got smacked by the Brutal Swing right on its chin and sent it shooting through the air, but it quickly stabilized itself in the air.

Now both pokemons look exhausted as both of taken significant amounts of damage. Anyone can be the victor here and because of this, the mood around the battlefield has become tense.

Ash knew he had to come up with something that would give him an edge and that is when he remembered something from just a minute ago.

The speed of his Rowlet surprised him, and he knew that this can be the thing that would put him over Hala.

Ash "Rowlet, use Peck"

Ash commanded, making his Rowlet once again charge at Crabrawler.

Hala "Let's end this, use Power-Up punch"

Hala also wanted to end this and if this Power-Up punch lands, it's all over for Rowlet.

As Rowlet dove in and was inches away from Crabrawler, Ash made his move.

Ash "Now change direction and use Dual Wingbeat"

Crabrawler was just about to deliver the Power-Up punch when Rowlet suddenly disappeared from its sight taking the pokemon by surprise but before it could even figure out where Rowlet is, it appeared right behind Crabrawler and used Dual Wingbeat, a single Wingbeat has a power of a normal attack so the move Dual Wingbeat is a high rate flying-type move which will be super effective against Crabrawler.

Rowlet made contact with Crabrawler using Dual Wingbeat and sent it shooting and rolling through the ground before it was thrown out of the battlefield.

Kukui examined Crabrawler and found it unconscious.

Kukui "Crabrawler is unable to battle, Rowlet wins"

Kukui declared the result, which excited everyone. Even Julian nodded his head. The battle was closer than he expected, but in the end, Ash pulled off a victory like every other time.

Ash's friends started to cheer for him and Rowlet. They couldn't contain their excitement seeing Ash take the lead.

Hala "Hoho, I didn't expect the little thing to be so quick, but now let's get a little bit serious"

Hala said and took out another Pokeball and sent out his next pokemon into the battlefield.

Hala's pokemon came out of its Pokeball and landed on the ground, causing a small tremor to run through the battlefield.

Now every eye is locked on this pokemon, Hariyama. Kahuna Hala's ace pokemon.
