Just Mine

Mrs Onome thought back to the conversation she had with her friend after she heard the news about Sky's pregnancy. She really wish Sky and Mrs Angela son would end up together. Mrs Angela had wanted to set a date for the meeting between her son and Sky as he would be returning to the country soon. Mrs Sky had told her that there was a bit of a problem and that her daughter was not feeling too well and she wasn't sure her son would want her daughter anymore ....Mrs Angela persisted that she feels Sky would be the only person that could tame her son, while he seems to be a good son, he had his own fault and she encouraged Mrs Onome not to cancel the meeting and allow the kids meet eachother first. If only Sky hadn't gotten pregnant, Mrs Onome thought, maybe she would get married before the year runs out...picking up her phone she called Sky.

Netochukwu took in a deep breath.....the moment his plane landed at the Capital. He decided not to travel with his father's private jet and joined the commercial plane. Home sweet home, he said. Because of a deal they have been trying to seal in Paris, he is been traveling for a while now and he missed home, he came earlier than scheduled and didn't want to let anyone know of his arrival in the country, it was his birthday today...he told his assistant and friends that he wouldn't be back till 3 days time, so he won't be able to celebrate his birthday. He wanted to be by himself....he's been going from meeting to meeting, he just wanted an alone time, not even his family members were aware of his arrival.

He saw somebody who looked like her, he removed his glasses to check well only to be disappointed, it wasn't her. They haven't spoken to eachother for a while and the last time he saw her was around three or four months ago, although he knew she wouldn't miss his birthday. After having a weird dream about her...her text message woke him up...so typical of her. He avoided her like a plague because she makes him feel like he's home whenever they were together, and he doesn't want a serious relationship and isn't cut out for marriage, to him marriage and children hinders you from achieving what you are suppose to achieve, that was what he learnt from his father. His father at the age of 55 was still single, he divorced his mom saying she was slowing him down, especially when she asked for another child. Even when his mother and father were together, they were never happy, they always argued but his dad look happy alone. Plus she had too many rules and wasnt as easy to deal with like the other girls, at first she was a challenge...even after he conquered the challenge and they had sex, he still couldn't ditch her number and they even spoke occasionally. But yet she was the person he wanted to be with on his birthday....removing his phone from his Jean pocket, he dialled her number.

Sky was eating a big bowl on popcorn while working on her computer when the phone rang, it was past 5 in the morning...seeing that it was her mom, she jumped up the bed, feeling anxious she picked the call and said....Good morning Nime, how are you doing? Remember what we talked about concerning Mrs Angela's son, he'll be in the country in a few days....we already fixed the date. I will text you the date, time and address, take care of yourself. But mom, Sky said when she heard the disconnected tone, her mother already ended the call, frustrated she ran a hand through her hair as she threw her phone to the bed.
