XASEAH

The first thing she thought was that Tiberius had betrayed them, but that was not the case, just before their connection became one big massive hole right in the middle of her chest, she heard the message he left.It was a trap, but one that Tiberius was not really aware of, and his wife was involuntarily a part of, she didn't even know what she was doing. The only other thing he had told her to do was that she should protect their family and keep their people safe.

But how could she do so, how could she keep everyone and everything they had built safe when she couldn't even do the same for him. It wasn't really fair, they just had a bet, a bet she knew he was somehow going to win, but she made it anyway. Because it would mean she got to spend more time with the man she loved, and now he wasn't here anymore, there was just this massive darkness right in the pit of her chest.

He was still alive, she could see him still breathing normally regardless of the black veins that stretched allover his body. But she knew he was no different from a dead body, his soul and spirit where in shambles, completely disconnected from his body, locked deep away into his mind to prevent him from truly dying. He was in a healing sleep, a defense mechanism of both vampires and dragons when they've been badly hurt, and they could sleep for decades if not centuries. Before Kael might wake up, the world he left behind would be very different, very empty.

There was a glow on his chest as the soul Dragon appeared on top of him, he looked at Xaseah sadly, and then turned a discerning gaze at Tiberius and his wife. Xaseah knew Emrys was contemplating whether to kill them or not, but in the end he sighed and shook his head. He knew something about this whole scenario, and Xaseah was about to ask him about before he said.

"mortals are nothing but pawns in the hands of the gods, only someone with a destiny like Kael, a destiny to affect even the fabric of reality itself and the fates of billions if not trillion of lives can withstand their games.

Take that dagger with you Xaseah, it's made from the body part of a god, which god? I don't really know. But I'm sure Asha would know, also you shouldn't worry, in order to save his life I had to push him into the healing sleep, I don't know when he would be done, but he's alive."

Emrys then flapped his small wings and went to the canisters that held the souls of the dead werewolves. One swipe of his wings, and the canister broke into a million pieces, as Emrys waved his wings again and a portal was opened to Spero.Xaseah had no idea what he was doing, or why he was opening a portal back home, especially one so small, but she got her answer almost immediately.

The souls all gathered themselves and went through the portal, probably going to roam the land until there was a change or Kael wakes up. Then Emrys closed the portal and then released a blast of soul fire from his mouth, setting the entire library ablaze with eerie blue flames that were rapidly spreading across the room.

Tiberius picked his wife up, and Xaseah picked Kael up, looking up at the miniature dragon for direction as she was very much lost, in fact she was barely keeping it together as all she wanted to do was curl up and cry. Right now it wasn't just her emotions of grief she was feeling, but also Asha's, Cassiel and Michael's. The entire family were hit hard by this, and their missing connection seemed to be making the experience a whole lot more worse than it should be.

"there is a way to save him, but that's a discussion best left for later. But for now...war! Shearath and it's bloody gods have fucked with a dragon for the last time. No more second chances, no more diplomacy, no plots. Now hurry up and get the rest away, I'm burning this island to the ground." Emrys said as Tiberius widened his eyes in shock.

"But you can't do that! There's thousands of innocent people here, people who had nothing to do with this! What would Kael say if he heard you say such things!" Tiberius called out to Emrys in an attempt to make him see reason.

"Do not attempt to think you're worthy enough to speak to me….….human! It's only you and your filthy race that can cause a problem like this. Your greed and selfishness that can be so easily taken control of and manipulated by gods you all continue to give power by worshipping and respecting.

Kael is in this situation because of your cheating bitch of a wife. She made bad choices, but instead of living with it, she tried taking her own life, and for that he had to save her, because he made a promise to you! Without him his people might fall apart, and you're telling me no, because you want to save an island of people who once hunted my people, my children! For sport! I can feel their bones under this cursed island, I can their magic, their essence powering your infernal defenses.

Kael was chosen when be was human, heck he was chosen from a life where he had no choice but to be nothing but human. And he never stopped being human, he's the best of you bloody lot. However this shit is now personal, not just because my family's remains are being used as decorations and batteries, but because Kael! The other half of my soul is in a really bad situation because of how gullible humans are. But it's better to point fingers at who fingers needed to be pointed to.

This whole things reeks of the handwork of a dark god, and so the gods will suffer for it. But this island has to go, I don't care who lives or who dies, I'm making a statement. And you! Can either fall in line and realize that if I don't do this, you would have vampires marching here within a day. It would be a bloody massacre, and no one would survive. At the very least I'll be given your bloody family a chance, if they can take it." Emrys said as a beam of light covered him, and he turned into a perfect copy of Kael. Except his hair was whit right in the middle, and black at the sides, and he had horns growing out of his head.

The look startled Xaseah for a bit, but in the end he was not the real thing, the r deal thing lay there in her arms, life less but alive. Tiberius didn't care, he was nkt going to be intimidated by a dragon that was about to commit a massacre of women and children.

"So what you're saying is that you're the lesser of two evils. But in the end innocents will still die from your hands, maybe even more than the vampires seeing as this time no one has any warning of your attack. You would be no different from the monsters the humans race has always said you were. That's not the legacy Kael wanted to leave."

"I don't give a shit about his legacy, not unless it's about his children. His legacy won't matter one bit if we're unable to defeat the darkness that threatens to devour the universe, but everyone seems to think that we! The people of Spero are the kinds that can be messed with. We came in peace, we tried to save your wife, and now our King is literally on the cusp between life and death.

We're done playing nice, if you want to leave, take your army and leave. There's no stopping the war that's to come now.And maybe I'm acting out of my anger, and maybe this wasn't what Kael would have done. However I'm a dragon, not just any dragon, I'm the first to have existed in all of the seven layer universes, long before the first human or god was even a speck of light. So believe me when I tell you, I've always been a monster."

KODAK

As they flew away from the island, all of it in flames as lava spewed forth from beneath its core and the seas around it boiled; Kodak felt empty. Even the so called punishment being visited upon that bloody island did not make him feel good, he was angry, yes! But he would never have taken out his anger on innocent people. But this was an act that was carried out by a dragon, things like logic and morality did not apply to them as the acted based on their emotions and their feelings. And without a doubt, right now, Emrys was in even more pain than anyone else, except for Xaseah herself.

Ethernalia Leonis would not be quite about this, especially those who have hidden in the shadows and have been clamoring for retribution, for recompense, for war. Without a doubt, they would be getting that war now, their taste for blood would be too much sate with just words. Kodak looked forward to it.

It might seem somewhat contradictory in the eyes of someone else. He felt bad about the destruction of the island, and thag was because the people there couldn't fight back. Some of them managed to escape, but it was still a massacre of lava and dragon fire, one that Shearath would never forget for the rest of it's existence. Because then it would not be a massacre, it would just be him and his enemies on a battlefield, just war.

Kodak shifted his gaze to Kael's limp body as Xaseah cradled it in her arms. She's not made a single sound since they left the island, not even once. Though Emrys said he was healing, but since he was attacked by a weapon that can kill a God, it would take a long time for him to get back to himself. Kodak didn't mind that, he was a vampire, time was something he had plenty of. But whatever it was Xaseah was feeling, it was a whole lot more worse than what he felt, her's was a connection that Kodak's brotherhood with Kael would never compare to.She's his wife, this must be hell for her.

Kodak looked out the side of their airship and watched as other airships zoomed past them, some of them heading to the island, and others escaping off it. Emrys left 60% of the population alive, though Tiberius does not seem happy with that number, Kodak didn't blame him. That island was his home, those dead people were his people, illegitimate son or not. So this has got to hurt, but Kodak wondered why he was still here, should he return with them the whole of Spero would want to tear him apart. Of course what happened wasn't his fault, at least that's what Emrys said, however him and his wife were used as baits, appealing and taking advantage of Kael's generosity and good heart.

No one!, not the vampires, not the dark elves, not the Nephilim, the Serpentis, the gnomes or the giants will like that. Heck not even the humans who have followed Kael or who still look up to him. Tiberius had become a scape goat, and if he wasn't delivering himself back to the Sperans on a silver platter, none of them would have spared any expenses in hunting him down and giving him the most gruesome and painful death imaginable. So Kodak had to know….….

"Why are you going back with us? it wouldn't be safe for you."

"Kael and I have a promise to each other, I swore my loyalty to him and his family. I can't and won't turn back on my word, so if there's to be a war, I'll fight it, under his banner and in his name and do it the right way. this way the entire universe can know....that you all are not monsters, you're just children lashing out at the world that hurt their father."

"You think we're children who lost their father…..you might be right. But children did lose their father, so if you think this is a lashing out, then wait for the prince and princess to grow up a bit. If they're anything like their parents, a lashing out would be the least of your worries."
