Kingly Adventures

Zi Yuan was worried. Her daughter, the only symbol of her love for General Ming had informed her about the discovery of the tomb of the dragon emperor by some foreigners. Lin, her little flower had tried to stop them but ultimately failed. She then followed them to the museum of Hong Kong where they were planning to reveal the body of the dragon emperor to the whole world. A whole day had passed since then and no further information had forwarded by Lin to her. Her gaze was lingering in the sky hoping to see the familiar silhouette of their pet hawk bringing with it, the news of events happening down in Hong Kong and of course, the news of her daughter. Zi Yuan moved from the entrance of the cave to the edge of the pool of eternal life and began to admire the miniature paradise land

lying just behind the pool. She always found her worries blown away by the heavenly view in front of her. But today, she was feeling very uneasy as if something bad will happen. As she was lost in her musings, she heard several loud sounds and felt searing pains in her back. She fell forward and realised that she had been shot by more than one person. As she turned around with great difficult, she saw a group of uniformed men running towards her. She found herself quickly surrounded and tied up with ropes before she could even fully register about what had happened to her. She asked the men surrounding her, " Who are you?" She did not get any answers from them but soon felt something hitting the back of head and then, she fainted.

A FEW HOURS BEFORE;

Alexander together with his little group of fanatics ( Author's Thoughts : As who the hell in his right mind would try to bring back a 2000 years old mummy back to life so that the said mummy could rule the world) moved towards the enterance of the Shangri-La. Alexander stopped a few hundred meters away from the entrance and ordered the soldiers to take shelter behind some rocks. The last few hours of movement had robed them of their energy and as they are his most important pieces in the upcoming struggle. Alexander turned towards General Wang and gestured to come with him, " General Wang, do you want to become immortal? "

General Wang thought that I was taking his test and quickly refused and said some words in flattery. Alexander did not pay attention to his words after his refusal and continued, " General Wang, if you help me conquer the world as a reward I will make you immortal so that you can serve me till the ends of time."

General Wang realised that the emperor was serious about making him immortal and thanked his ancestors for their good deeds and bowed towards Alexander, " I will place the world at your feet, my emperor." Alexander simply nodded and thought it will be not easy to conquer the world even with the help of the terracotta army as people will resist even Chinese people will not readily accept him let alone the whole world. It will take years to conquer the whole world. Alexander could take the violent route and simply wage war and he will certainly do so in order to establish the bridge and connect the two worlds. But this was not the time to think about his invasion plan as he had thought of a perfect way to deal with the immortal witch, Zi Yuan. Alexander said, " General Wang, according to ancient texts, there is a guardian of the eternal pool of life, those who want to use the pool cannot attack it and those who do will not get to use the pool. As I am going to use the pool and in future you will also so we cannot attack it."

General Wang, " Then what will we do, your majesty?"

Alexander noted that even if the general was a loyal man, he was not a good thinker. The only reason that Alexander was not letting the general fight because without him how can he command the soldiers. Alexander continued, " We will let the soldiers fight the guardian. The guardian is not some otherworldly being but an ordinary human who first drank from the pool, we will let our soldiers fight him. They will fire at him from a distance and when he is injured, they will tie him up and knock him out."

General Wang, " Why don't we just kill the guardian!"

Alexander noted that the general was a little too fond of killing. The reason Alexander did not wanted to kill Zi Yuan was because she knew where the ancient library shown in the movie was and also had in her possession the book of magic through which she cursed the emperor and his army. Such a big curse would have required some serious power but as witnessed in the movies, Zi Yuan was not that powerful which only means that the power was in the book and Zi Yuan only directed that power by her intention. Alexander wanted this knowledge. This world was a star level-2 world, it cannot be that simple. Alexander was sure that this world contained many secrets. Alexander then replied to general's question, " A place containing the pool of life will not be so simple, there can be more wondrous things hidden in there that we don't know of. And I want to know about this place. Who is better than the guardian to tell us about it?"

Alexander ordered the soldiers to move out and slealthily moved towards the entrance of the cave. Alexander peered inside and saw Zi Yuan standing near the edge of the pool of life . Alexander was glad that he would not have to search this whole place for her and it would be very bad if she had managed to get away as Alexander was sure that the ancient book of magic did not contain just a single curse.

Alexander turned towards the soldiers, " I did not know that a woman was the guardian oh this place but I am sure she is not some ordinary woman. General Wang has told you about my instructions then quickly restrain her. We cannot afford any mistake at this point." The soldiers quickly loaded their rifles and shot towards Zi Yuan. Alexander heard the loud noise of several guns gong off simultaneously and Zi Yuan falling in the floor. Alexander quickly ordered the soldiers to restrain her and to knock her out. Alexander was not going to take any chances, she was one of the protagonists of this world and one thing he has learned from various comics he had read in his previous life that these people have absurd amount of luck. The soldiers quickly made their way towards the fallen woman and Alexander saw something that made him glad that he did not tried to fight Zi Yuan. Zi Yuan had actually turned to look at the people who had attacked her and was even capable of questioning the soldiers. Alexander thought, " Any normal human being would have died on the spot but Zi Yuan was capable of turning and talking even after taking several bullets to her back. She is one tough woman, thankfully I did not try to fight her."

The soldiers quickly tied her up and knocked her out. Alexander turned towards the soldiers, " Well done my soldiers. I will surely reward you." The soldiers bowed in gratitude. Alexander turned to General Wang and ordered him to guard Zi Yuan and made way towards the edge of the pool of life. As Alexander stepped into the pool, he felt a new energy seeping into his body, he felt his body change from the terracotta to actual human body. But this body was much stronger and full of youthful vigor. Suddenly he felt some sort of ancient power awakening in his body and felt his body transforming. Alexander felt his body elongate to a length of 100 meters and thicken to a width of 10 meters, his hands and legs transformed and gained three claws at the end and wings sprouted from his back. Alexander marvelled at the changes and thought I have changed into a dragon. Alexander examined his body and found that his scales were deep blue in colour giving him an elegant and noble aura. The power he felt in this new body of his made him laugh in happiness which came out as a giant roar but anyone can tell that it was a roar of happiness. Alexander turned towards the general and soldiers and saw them kneeling on the ground in reverence, he then turned towards Zi Yuan and saw her still knocked out after all the commotion that he had made. Alexander sighed in relief as who knows what kind of tricks, a several thousand years old witch had up her sleeves.

Alexander, " General Wang, this woman is our most important prisoner. If she somehow manges to escape from my grasp, I will have your and your men's heads. Make sure that she is properly secured and keep her knocked out until my army becomes immortal. Now, that I am free from this curse, I am going to awake my army. Come with me."

General Wang and his soldiers fearfully nodded and followed Alexander out of the cave. Alexander turned to look at the pool and the paradise land lying beyond it and thought, " How can such a place exist in a small cave. Heavens above, there are mountains, forests and rivers inside this cave. I will ask Zi Yuan about this." With this thought Alexander changed into his dragon form and destroyed the entrance of the cave. Alexander did not want anyone else to find this place while he was away. Alexander carried General Wang and his soldiers along with Zi Yuan to the military base but did not enter the base itself, he dropped them a few kilometers away from the base and changed back to his human form. General Wang looked towards him in askance. Alexander replied, " I don't want the world to know of my return yet. So we will enter the base in the same manner we left and if anyone asks about this woman tell them that she is a local who got lost due to snowstorm and our soldiers mistakenly shot her. Tell them that we are taking her to hospital." General Wang asked, " Your majesty, this woman is bleeding for quite sometime. Will she not die if left like this?"

Alexander, " Don't worry about her, she is an immortal. Now let's go to the place where my army is sleeping."

When Alexander arrived at the base camp of the general where the O'Connells and Lin were imprisoned along with Zi Yuan. Alexander thought, " Having all the protagonists at one place is a disaster waiting to happen but this is my only base in this world." Alexander ordered the female officer of the general to search the old witch and to imprison her in the same way as others but with double security. Then, Alexander moved with half of the soldiers in the camp to the place where the terracotta army was resting and lest the other half to strictly guard his prisoners. Alexander stood on the same statue on which the dragon emperor stood and felt a connection to the army sleeping below, he commanded them to wake up and come above the ground. The land rumbled as several hidden doors opened and from these doors came out the terracotta army. All the terracotta soldiers moved and bowed as one to Alexander. Alexander was impressed by their discipline and thought, " Even if these soldiers don't possess modern firearms, they make it up with their skills and bodily power." Alexander addressed the terracotta army, " My soldiers!! We have awakened in a world which is foreign to us. It is divided , corrupt and full of strife. It lacks unity and we will unite it in my name. Move forward, as you cross the great wall, you will become immortal and then our conquest will begin." The terracotta army as one bowed and started to run forward towards the wall. As the first half of the army crossed the wall, Alexander let out a sigh of relief as he was afraid that something bad would happen. Now, if something does happens at least he would have half of the immortal army. And that half would be enough to conquer the world as the terracotta army does not need sleep, food or water and they will never get tired. Soon the whole army crossed the wall and Alexander laughed in happiness. Alexander turned to General Ming, " General Ming, now it is the time for you and your men to officially swore your loyalty to me. Do you acknowledge me as your king?"

General Ming and his soldiers bowed and said," We do!!" As they said this, Alexander felt a small amount of power entering into his body. This must be the King's might, Alexander thought. Alexander tried to sense how much he needed to form the bridge and felt that he needed the King's might to be equivalent to a large tank of water to form the bridge. Alexander inwardly lamented that it will be a long process. Then , suddenly a idea came to him, Alexander thought, " If I can make the Six protagonists of the world submit to me then, the king's might gathered from them would be quite large." With this thought Alexander mounted an undead horse and ordered General Wang to lead the way to the base camp. The terracotta army was capable of running at a speed of a normal motor car so they quickly reached the camp. The soldiers guarding the camp we're frightened to see the terracotta army but were placated by General Wang. After another swearing ceremony, Alexander calculated that he had gained about one percent of the King's might required. Alexander ordered General Ming to bring the prisoners to him, while he waited in the command tent. Alexander thought, " I am pretty excited to properly meet them."
