Kingly Adventures

Alexander had a specific target in mind to spy on through the realm gate. Alexander now had enough king's might to observe a world for a few weeks. Alexander wanted to observe the making of quantum-crystalline metal, the strongest material in the star wars world, which was invented by Qwi Xux. This was another version of star wars world which was at a higher level than the moon level-3 world which, Alexander was conquering. The quantum crystalline metal was developed differently here.

Qwi Xux of this world used Phrik as the base material and treated it with some specially developed chemicals which formed a new material which looked like a crystal. Alexander watched as a crystal sheet was compressed to the extent to which the laws of physics of that world permitted and then, laminated over a similarly compressed crystal sheet which was phase shifted. The two interlocked sheets were bombarded with quantum rays to completely fuse the sheets with each other. The resultant crystalline metal was thin, light and entered molten state at high temperatures which made it easier to shape. The molten metal was then shaped according to the needs and then allowed to cooled down. The reshaped metal was treated with a special chemical which made the metal completely indestructible.

Alexander turned towards Anna who was standing behind Alexander, dressed in a formal attire with a professional face but her eyes betrayed her curiousity towards the activities of Alexander. In Alexander's personal opinion, the training Anna had undergone in the management course had changed Anna from a kind young noble lady to a strong and independent young woman who despite being still kind was not to be trifled with as experienced by the various department heads. Alexander asked for a pen and paper from Anna. Anna took out a notebook and pen from her coat's front pocket, enlarged the notebook and passed it over to Alexander.

Alexander took the notebook with a thankful expression and said, " Anna!! I am happy with the reshuffling, you have done to the departments. You have performed your duties extremely well. I want you to call a meeting with all the department heads tomorrow. I also want an analysis of their personalities from you as you have interacted the most with them. This work of mine would take a long time so you can go now."

Anna gave a nod and said, " Your Majesty, I will have a file containing information about them in send to your room." Anna then, bowed and left.

Alexander turned his attention to the realm gate and started to record the whole procedure of creating the quantum- crystalline metal in the notebook. As only Alexander could use the realm gate to peer into other worlds, Alexander had to personally record everything down. It took Alexander 5 hours to record the whole procedure. Alexander then rechecked his notes 3 times, to ensure that nothing was left behind. Alexander made three copies of the original notebook and shifted the original one to the secret chamber housing the fire of civilization.

Alexander returned to his room and immediately fell asleep. It was early in the morning that Alexander read the file send by Anna to know about the department heads. Anna who was acting as his representative after getting tired with the squabbling department heads, clubbed all the departments into three departments. The Internal Affairs Department which dealt with all the civilian matters of the kingdom headed by Mr. Jackson who was a middle aged British man with a jolly personality but was quite the perfectionist in relation to his work.

The Military Affairs Department was headed by Mr. Thompson who was an American general who had defeated all his competitors in strategy and commanding to arrive at his position, so he was somewhat arrogant towards others. He was a man with no nonsense attitude and wanted his subordinates to give their best to accomplish the tasks given to them.

The Research and Development Department was headed by Dr. Sinha who was an expert in biotechnology. The reason Dr. Sinha was appointed as the head was because he was a phenomenal mediator and was able to make both the conventional scientists and non-conventional scientists(aka. the mad scientists) to work together for the betterment of the kingdom. He was generally a very patient man but was quite a sight to behold once angered. He was quite stressed lately and Anna was sure that another bout of extreme rage would be soon unreleased by Dr. Sinha.

The reason behind Anna's speculation was the increasing amount of stress that was heaved upon him by his fellow department heads to carter to their needs first. Both Mr. Jackson and Mr. Thompson had different ideals in regards to enpowering the kingdom. Mr. Jackson believed that improving the civilians and basic infrastucture would make the kingdom powerful while Mr. Thompson believed that improving the military might would be the key to make the kingdom powerful. This lead to clash between the two and since, technology was the mainstream behind improving both the sectors so the two of them were trying to pressure Dr. Sinha in siding with one of them. Anna had not interfered as she felt that these would teach the department heads to face difficult situations. Alexander closed the file after reading the report about his department heads and headed out for the meeting.

Alexander arrived at the meeting room to find all the four people waiting for him. The atmosphere of the meeting room was tense and serious. As Alexander entered the room, all the people stood up and bowed. Alexander took his seat at the head and motioned for all of them to sit down. Alexander took out the duplicate copy of the notebook and passed it to Dr. Sinha. Dr. Sinha took the book with a confused expression but didn't open it and looked towards Alexander in expectation.

Alexander said, " This notebook contains the entire process of making the quantum-crystalline metal which is the strongest metal in the star wars world. I want you to examine it and tell me how much time would it require to make if we have Galactical level infrastructure."

Dr. Sinha said in an embarrassed tone, " Your Majesty!!! I am an expert in biotechnology so I cannot give you the exact time frame but I will surely consult our best technology experts to give you an appropriate answer."

Alexander was glad to see that Dr. Sinha didn't try to make himself look good by giving a false estimate and excepted his shortcomings. Alexander said, " Call your best technology expert here so that he or she can read the notebook and give us an rough estimate."

Dr. Sinha nodded and sent out a dove patronus out of the room. Alexander turned his attention to the civilian and military affairs department heads and said in a hard tone, " I know about your esclading feud. Bury the matter before I bury you two. Your feud is going to create discord among the subjects when the military personnel and civilians would try to prove to each other, which one is superior. Both civilians and military are equally important for the kingdom. If you cannot do this then, keep your views to yourself, don't spread them around. You two also tried to interfere in the science department which is outside the jurisdiction of both of you. You are going to run ŀȧps. I can see the relief in your eyes Mr. Thompson, don't worry, you are not going to to run on the normal track but the track prepared by the sadists. You both will run 200 ŀȧps each." Both the department heads paled in horror. They were hard man so they could stomach the punishment but the real reason behind the fear were the sadists as they tended to increase the difficulty of the ŀȧp after every 10 ŀȧps.

Alexander left them to stew in fear and turned his attention towards the door as he heard someone approaching. The door was slowly opened and entered a young woman between 22 to 26 years of age. The woman in question was of Greek descent with black hair, blue eyes and caramel coloured skin. She was sharply dressed but Alexander could see behind the illusion. Someone had put an illusion on Alexa to make her look presentable for the meeting. The real Alexa was dressed in technician's clothes and covered in oil, dirt and grease stains. Alexander watched in anticipation, the upcoming train wreck as Alexander could see that Alexa was high, how high he didn't know but she was definitely high. As Alexander was thinking about the degree of highness of Alexa, a loud 'Hick!!' echoed in the room and the illusion surrounding Alexa was shattered. Alexa sighed in relief and said, " Finally, the itchy feeling is gone. Now, where am I?"

Alexander watched as Anna left her position and hit Alexa with a couple of cleaning charms and an extremely powerful sobering charm. Alexander watched as Alexa surveyed the room and paled subsequently in shock at recognising each and every person in the room and at last zeroed on Alexander.It took her a few seconds to recognised Alexander and she fainted after muttering, " The Emperor ... I am so dead!!!"

Alexander snorted in amusement and said, " Someone place her on a seat and bring her back from unconciousness."

Dr. Sinha sighed and said, " Don't take her as an unresponsible person, Your Majesty. She is very dedicated to her work but has a zero tolerance for cafferine. I am sure that she pulled an all nighter with the help of coffee and became like this in the morning. It must be her ȧssistant, Amanda who put that illusion on her to make her look presentable."

Alexander said, " She should have hit her with sobering charm also."

Dr. Sinha, " She must have forgotten."

Dr. Sinha placed Alexa on a seat and casted enervate on her. Alexa still have asleep said, " I had a weird hallucination where I was in a meeting room with the emperor and the top brass. I should not drink more than 30 cups of coffee from now on."

Dr. Sinha put up a silencing ward around himself and Alexa and was seen making Alexa aware of the current circumstances. Alexander could see that Dr. Sinha was also lecturing Alexa about something. Alexander watched as Alexa turned to look at him and ducked her head in embarrassment. After a few minutes of counselling, the ward was put down and Alexa apologised to everyone present. Alexander just nodded and said, " Please, read the content of that notebook and tell us about your thoughts." While, Alexa was reading the notebook with a thoughtful expression. Alexander turned towards Anna and asked, " What is the status of the magus and my kingdom?"

Anna consulted her datapad for a few minutes and answered, " The last time you enquired about this, your Majesty, there were 600 million Magus in our kingdom and number of advancement was 4 million Magus per day. Till the development of SQC, we had additional 1.82 Billion Magus join our ranks. The SQC improved the design of the advancement chambers and the rate of advancement increased to 20 million in one day. We stopped all the advancements to revamp the advancement chambers. It took us 4 months to achieve the new setup. It has been 17 months since the opening of the third generation advancement chambers, we have now additional 10.32 Billion Magus in our kingdom. We now have 12.74 Billion magus in our kingdom. Our total population had increased from 24 Billion to 30 Billion in the three years. Our resources are ample right now and the subjects are happy. The process of upgrading our infrastructure to the galactic level and to eventually surpass it has begun. The Ballastians are proving to be a vital help in this regard. The training of Ballastians will be completed in one month and according to your instructions, facilities for the training of 160 million future Ballastians are being prepared. There has been no death in the kingdom as we have dealt with all the diseases and the genetic treatment to increase the lifespan of normal humans has began. We have started from the oldest people in the kingdom. Our military forces are being trained to fight in space with the help of the security personnel of the newly conquered planets. The estimated time for complete formation of minimal infrastructure is 10 years if the forces of the galaxy are not employed. We have also fully integrated Sanskrit as a computer language with the help of SQC and the processing power of SQC and CQCs have increased by 5 times. Preparations are being made to magically enhance the SQC and the CQCs but the main focus right now, is on building the basic infrastructure. This is all that is going on kingdom right now."

Anna then continued in amused tone, " Oh!!! Your video of blowing up the sun has gone viral on internet, your majesty. The amount of people, the Home Department under the authority of Internal Affairs Department, had to fine is in Billions. The officers of Home Department are not happy due to their increased workload. Mr. Jackson promised them a bonus to make them work."

Alexander didn't show any expression on his face but was inwardly mollified at this news. One look in Anna's eyes made Alexander know that he was not able to fool her. Before, Alexander could say something, Alexa's cry of amazement was heard and everyone turned to look towards her. Alexa looked everyone in the eye and said in an excited tone, " This technology is amazing and this metal is even more amazing." Alexa then proceeded to tell others about the quantum crystalline metal and all it's possible uses. Everyone was quite amazed at the possibilities opened by this metal. But, Alexa sighed and said, " We will not be able to produce and effectively use this metal for at least 18 to 20 years as we would only be able to to achieve this level of technology at that time only."

Alexander said, " What if this metal and the hardening chemical is prepared in the star wars universe and then, brought here?"

Alexa, " Your Majesty!!! We don't have the technology to maintain that metal in the molten state and how will we mold the metal in the dėsɨrėd form? We don't even have Phrik in the kingdom"

Alexander, " I have conquered Gromas, the only planet in the galaxy where the Phrik is known to be found. As for maintaining the metal in molten state, we have magic. A container made of Phrik lined with strengthening runes and stasis runes should be able to hold the molten metal."

Alexa fell in deep thought and said, " Phrik is nearly indestructible so how are we going to carve runes on it?"

Alexander, " We can temporaily transfigure phrik into something else and carve runes on the transformed material. When the Phrik changes back to it's original state, then we will activate the runes."

Anna spoke up " But, Your Majesty, the amount of magical power needed to transform Phrik would be tremendrous. How will we achieve this?"

Alexander, " I have nearly 13 Billion Magus under me. They are not going to be mere decorations. Anna!! I want to make an announcement in the kingdom. All the Magus would have to undergo intense military training for two weeks, every three months. This is compulsory. Mr. Thompson!!! Construct a tribunal to judge the slackers. Make it known that those who skip training without valid reasons for more than 3 times, would be executed. This is my order. The hospitals and the training grounds would be upgraded first so that no one is denied the opportunity to train. The training of two weeks is compulsory but we cannot possibly train the Magus all at once so they would be trained in batches. I also want to increase the size of the active army to be atleast 10 percent of our total population. I am returning to the star wars world to attend the meeting with the construction companies. Does anyone has something to say?"

No one had anything more to say but it was clear that they were confused at the hurry shown by the emperor. Alexander knew about their confusion but he did not had any time to tell them the reason as something very important had occurred in the star wars universe, his subjects had caught a sith spy on Gromas and Alexander wanted to meet him before something happens to the spy.
