Kingly Adventures

Alexander took all the magic he had released back into his body and claimed the whole planet as a part of his kingdom. Alexander then tried to sense the number of planets conquered by his people and was astonished to find numerous planets under his control. As Alexander was marvelling over the amount of planets, his subjects have conquered, he sensed an starship entering the planet. Alexander already knew that they were here to take him back to his kingdom.

Alexander observed the starship and instantly knew that it was ' THE MONARCH ', his personal starship as the SQC had already shown him the design. After seeing the sleek and streamlined starship, Alexander was now excited to see his other official vessel also. The starship landed a few meters away from him without making any sound or kicking up any dust or debris. The side wall of the starship rippled and Anna along with the entire crew stepped out to greet him. Alexander observed his welcoming party and smiled at recognising Anna. Alexander didn't peer into the minds of his welcoming party because he wanted to surprise himself.

Alexander laughed and said, " It is good to see you again, Anna."

Anna smiled and said, " Your return from the seclusion fills me with great joy and happiness, Your Highness."

Alexander smiled and said, " Acting as my representative for so many years in my absence, has made you an eloquent speaker and diplomat. Well!!! We will continue our chat later. I have been in meditation for 275 years. Meditation does not replace sleep, that's why, the cultivators have extreme attitudes. I don't want to suffer from a sleep disorder so I am going to sleep. Please, wake me before we reach our destination."

Alexander turned his attention to the four Ballastians standing at the back and said, " So, you are the crew of my ship. As I am feeling very tired, I will meet you after some time. Please, excuse me!!" The crew just bowed low and moved out of Alexander's way. Alexander entered the ship and based on his memory of the design, quickly found the royal cabin or suite or whatever it was called. Alexander found his nameplate hung on the door and without looking at the decor or the interior of the room, simply crashed on the bed, pulled up the very comfy and fluffy blanket and entered the dreamland.

18 DAYS LATER, NEAR CORELLIA:

A pitch black starship jumped out of the hyperspace behind the moon of the planet and vanished from the view. The ship while in invisible mode travelled undetected and unhindered through the security systems and landed on an abandoned landing pad. Anna could be seen talking on her Holo-comm, " We have returned. He is with us...Yes, nothing happened during our journey...What he is doing?...Well!!! He is sleeping since he boarded the starship in order to overcome his sleep deficiency..... Yes!!! I was not going to wake him up..... I will contact you after he wakes up." Anna closed her Holo-comm and turned to look at Alexander who was standing to the side talking with Nemo, the captain of Monarch.

Anna sighed and spoke up, " I don't understand why you didn't let me tell them about your current situation, Your Majesty!!!"

Alexander replied, " I need some downtime, Anna. If they knew I was awake, they will surround me before I would even have time to blink."

HERMES' COMMAND ROOM, CORELLIA:

THE HERMES was immediately moved to Corellia when it was reported that The Emperor was on Corellia. Alexander had a meeting scheduled after 3 days of the arrival of the Megacarrier. Today was the day of the meeting. The air was full of excitement and anticipation. The Department Heads had brought the promising members of the younger generation to the meeting. These young people were standing at the very back of the command room and were quite excited.

Suddenly, two people appeared in the meeting room. Everyone stood up and bowed to the male. Obviously, the male was Alexander while the female was Anna. Alexander took the head seat and said, " Let's start the meeting."

Anna took out a datapad and said, " His Majesty has asked for a update of the kingdom. The respective Department Heads will report about their projects. Let's start with 'Project Fortress' and 'Project Olympians' . "

Minister Thompson spoke in his usually rough voice, " Your Majesty!! According to your orders, we started the two megaprojects after the conversion of all the buildings. It took us two years to complete the buildings and we had lost 500,000 of our criminal workforce. As per your orders we focused more on ' Project Fortress '. For the young ones standing at the back, I will explain this project. The SQC had designed massive defence towers to protect the kingdom from any harm. The towers were divided into many levels.

His Majesty had ordered the construction of the city-level towers on all the planets conquered by us. This project is still ongoing. It takes 2 months completely finish the base of the tower. It was the joint decision of this council to first finish building the bases as all the towers had to come online simultaneously to give the maximum benefits." Everyone turned to look at Alexander to gauge his reaction as Alexander had ordered complete construction of towers.

Alexander smiled and said, " I don't need people who just follow the commands, I want my people to take effective decisions which best suit the situation even if the decision goes against my orders. Constructing the bases first was a good decision. Now, tell me , what is the current status of this project?"

Minister Thompson continued, " We were capable of builiding 10,000 bases simultaneously at the start but now, our productivity has increased and we are capable of constructing bases on 50,000 planets simultaneously...."

Minister Thompson drank some water and continued, " The increased productivity was a result of experienced workforce and the perfecting of the conversion ritual by the Flamels 150 years ago. We have constructed the bases on all the 29 million planets marked by us. It took us 200 years to construct all the bases. We have already started working on the second phase of the construction. The entire project is divided into 5 phase. The experts have calculated that it would take us additional 150 years to construct all the towers right now, if only our current workforce is employed. But, if all the denizens of this galaxy are employed, we will be able to finish the work in 5 years only."

Alexander was astonished and asked, " What is the current population of the galaxy?"

Minister Thompson replied in a dry voice, " The people of this galaxy are deviants, Your Majesty. The population has increased by 8 times in these 270 years. The estimated population of galaxy is 64 quintrillion. This is estimate as we have not included the underworld of the Coruscant. Who knows how many live and die there? The lower levels of the Coruscant cannot be sensed with force. Our experts have guaranteed that our resources would be enough to support a much larger population for a long time."

Alexander felt silent for a while and then spoke up," What is the population of our empire? How many of them are living on the mainland?"

Minister Jackson spoke up, " The population of our kingdom is 52 quintrillion which also includes the 25 trillion Ballastians. According to the analysts, the optimal population for a planet similar to earth in size and resources is 1.5 Billion to 2 Billion people. We have decided to allow only 1.5 Billion people to live on the area equivalent to Earth's surface so we gave a population of 15 Billion humans and 3 Billion Ballastians living on the mainland right now. In order to do away with the extreme population density of the core worlds, we are developing cities capable of housing 2 Billion people on all habitable planets under our control. The optimal population theory was released by PTO and caused quite a stir in densely populated core worlds. Many core worlds brought planets in bulk to house their excess citizens. Our people have developed beautiful green cities and people have started a huge migratory movement to these cities."

Anna spoke up, " This plan was cooked up by the intelligence agency in order to gather more subjects. Our people in the Senate helped passing a law called, 'Planet Welfare Act' in order to regulate the population of densely packed worlds so that these planets may survive longer. Some senators tried to protest but were silenced by hook and crook. At this moment, many green cities have been fully developed and people are living there quite happily. Once they have a sense of belonging towards our conquered planets, we gain new subjects."

Alexander asked, " What about the Deep core?"

Minister Thompson said in a serious voice, " The Expedition was a success, we managed to conquer 800,000 high density resource planets. Out of the conquered planets, 650,000 of them are inhabitable but contain high resources. We lost 150,000 HSR Droids in the expedition. Thankfully, everyone was vigilant so no major loss of life occured but we still lost 10,000 people due to various causes. We have provided amenities and facilities to their families and their name was etched into the ' Hall of Brave '. "

Alexander asked, " What about 'Project Olympians' ?"

Minister Thompson replied, " Since we were focusing more on 'Project Fortress', the progress of this project slowed down considerably. But, we were able to complete the construction of Hephaestus. The compleletion of Project Hephaestus greatly enhanced our production, repairing, recycling and diposing off capacity... Let's recount the facts, shall we?.... Hephaestus is a giant production facility made completely of magically enhanced quantum metal. The size of the facility is equal to the size of earth and has every inch of it's outer surface covered in sensors and anti-matter cannons, which are concealed inside compartments. There is a standing guard of 10,000 capital ships on the facility. The facility has excellent camoflague systems and is capable of projecting itself as a rocky and inhabitable planet with zero resources. The walls of the facility is lined with containment runes which ensure that no energy signature escapes the facility. The absorption nozzle of the facility through which the matter and energy of the star is taken in is 5,00 kilometers in diameter. We could have made it bigger but then, the runes would not have been able to mask the facility."

Minister Thompson consulted his datapad and then continued, " The facility was inspired from star forge and the super forge was the prototype. Hephaestus is capable of producing a megacarrier within a year without any outside input of resources. The Hephaestus is capable of doing so by absorbing the matter and energy from the stars and convert it into required resources within seconds. The completion of Hephaestus helped us in upgrading all the military vehicles of our army with quantum metal. The production capacity of Hephaestus is so tremendrous that when run on full capacity, it is capable of consuming a whole star in 25,000 years. We had completed the construction of the Hephaestus in 250 years. For, the past 25 years, Hephaestus is working on full capacity to produce the resources required to build the green cities on the conquered planets. It takes Hephaestus one minute to produce enough resources to construct 1,000 green cities. Our constructing capabilities were not high enough to properly utilize the stockpiling resources so we sold the plans for the cities and resources to the densely populated planets. The planets changed some things but the layout is generally the same.... This massive influx of resources drew the eyes of many and some tried to investigate this but were silenced before anything concrete could be found by them. The core worlds themselves tried to investigate but were unsuccessful....."

Anna spoke up, " At first, We had constructed the green cities capable of housing 2 Billion people but the massive population of this galaxy has forced us to expand the cities to house 4 Billion people, with the help of magic, we will able to give the best standards of living to all the people. The construction of the cities is in it's final phase and the project will be completed in 5 years. We followed the same modus operandi as we did in case of the bases. There are 16 Million green cities being constructed right now to house the 64 quintrillion subjects.The completion of Project Hephaestus also ensured that there would be no shortage of resources for a very, very long time."

Alexander replied in a serious tone, " You adopted a wrong modus operandi. You should have first constructed the cities and complete towers on the mainland and brought them online. This would have provided protection to our kingdom. Then, you should have continued to do this, upon every conquered planet. This would have guaranteed our hold on the planets but there is no use of crying over the spilled milk. The dauntless task of constructing 29 Million defensive towers and 16 Million cities in 250 years is not a easy thing to accomplish. I will forgive your foolishness for this time but don't make such foolish mistakes again."

Everyone present voiced their apologies and felt silent.

Alexander asked in a curious tone, " What about the other olympians?"

Anna replied in an embarrassed tone, " Since we were so busy in constructing the bases, cities and Hephaestus, we were not able to fully focus on the other projects. But, we have started stockpiling resources to start the construction of these projects."

Suddenly, a massive magical pressure descended on everyone present. The tables and chairs made of magically enhanced durasteel cracked and splintered and all the persons present in the room were completely pressed to the floor. The containment wards were bȧrėly able to contain the magic rolling off from Alexander inside the room. Alexander's eyes were shining in a silver light and everyone could feel his anger. His magic was giving the people present second degree burns. Alexander surveyed the room and lost some of his anger when he saw the young ones on their deathbeds, at the back of the room. Alexander contained his magic and send a healing pulse to the children. The lives of young magus were saved but they would remain in coma for a few months.

Alexander let out a deep breadth and said in a cold tone, " You were not even bȧrėly, able to start the projects in 275 years of my seclusion. I don't care about the other projects but Hades is the most vital project among all the projects that are under development. The people of the galaxy were living like this for centuries, a few more decades would not have made any difference but completion of Project Hades is of utmost importance. Divert the resources and use the time ritual, I don't care about how many criminals will be sacrificed for this but complete the project in one year. As for the other projects, the denizens of this galaxy would complete the cities and the towers. You have been employing less people to remain under the radar but now, it doesn't matter as the invasion of Naboo is going to start in a few days. The fate of this galaxy is now up for grasp. Anything could happen now. I know you were not able to ignore the state of the people of the galaxy and wanted to help them, that's the only reason because of which, you only have some second degree burns. I will be extracting my magic from these burns so they could be easily healed by the medicines in a few hours..." Silver light emerged from the burns and receded back to Alexander's body. Alexander then spoke up, " I am going to Naboo to personally monitor the situation there. I hope that you don't further commit such mistakes. Remember, the safety of kingdom as a whole is much important than your welfare activities. Once, this world is conquered, we will obviously improve their living standards. I will be leaving now." Alexander shifted away and appeared inside his personal starship.

Alexander turned to Captain Nemo and said, " We are living for Naboo. Launch The Monarch." Captain Nemo nodded and starting shouting orders to his subordibates. Alexander entered his suite, sat down on the bed and let out a tired sigh. Alexander thought, " I think that I was too harsh on them but in the end, it doesn't matter. They made a huge mistake. After all, Project Hades is too vital for our kingdom."
