Okay, we've made a plan. Now it's time to get ready to go out.

But there's nothing to prepare except a backpack and a water bottle.

I want to get a knife or something, but there's no way a three-year-old can have so many personal things. My backpack is in the storage room, and I can bring out water by magic if it's necessary.

I only prepare the backpack and the water bottle to cheat the item box, you know.

There's no lunch. It's a poor orphanage. It would be nice if we could find something to eat in the forest.

But I didn't expect the first thing I'd go to after leaving the orphanage to go into the dragon forest instead of the town. I can't wait to see the inside of the town.

The next morning, we ate a meal and left. We didn't tell the director and the others about it, so we sneaked around. However, at times like this, my sister always finds me.

It took me more than ten minutes to separate her from the others. I felt like I'd been upset.

I pulled myself together and went to the storage room to refill my backpack and refill my water bottle.

I'd like to explain the location of the orphanage as we leave the town. Frey's town is large for a town near the Dragon Forest. The center of the town is naturally crowded and prosperous with shops, inns, and adventurers' guilds. On the other hand, the outside of the town is home to many low-income families. I heard that other towns have slums and other unsafe, but this town has some means of earning money thanks to the dragon forest, and it seems that it did not get to that point. An orphanage is also located in this low-income area.

The town is surrounded by a sturdy fence and an outer wall made of wood. It's only natural since there are monsters here. If this were a city or a royal city, it would be a sturdy stone wall, etc.

Normally, I should go out of the gate at the entrance of the town, but of course, a 3-year-old boy like me would not be let out.

However, I was fortunate that the outer wall is made of wood. I had found a hole in the outer wall near the orphanage that was big enough for a child to get through.

Perhaps someone had opened it to prevent them from passing through the gate.

We'll use this one this time. Hopefully we can get out of there quickly and normally...

I immediately went out of the town through the hole in the outer wall. Because there is a road to the dragon forest, so we should be able to walk along that road. There is no map and I do not know the direction, so I must not deviate from the path.

While walking down the street and practicing magic detection and presence detection, I noticed several things approaching from behind.

I hurriedly hid behind a nearby rock to manipulate my magic power so that I wouldn't be noticed.

After a little while of hiding, a carriage passed by from behind me. It was probably a regular carriage to the dragon forest. It's about an hour's walk away, so the carriage can get there in less time. Those who have money to spare seem to head to the forest by carriage. I have no money, so of course I walk. Well, I wouldn't be able to get a ride from a three-year-old...

It's the same reason I hid. If a kid like this was walking alone, it would be a suspicious explosion.

That's why I have to move around without being seen, and I have to make sure no one finds me in the forest either.

I wonder if I can't make a magic that makes me invisible or something~!

About an hour and a half after we left the orphanage, we arrived near the dragon forest. I passed the carriage about ten times, but it probably didn't notice me.

After a short break, I started walking around the dragon forest. There are several roads in the dragon forest from the street, and if you go through them you can get to the middle of the forest in relative safety. Most of the nearby monsters were killed as many adventurers passed through, and no new ones approached. However, most of the herbs and fruits would have been removed and no more would be left. Besides, the more people in the area, the more likely they are to be found.

That's why I decided to enter the forest from a position well away from the road.
