Konrad's Adventures In The Multiverse.
Chapter 30 - A Stone for every trouble and reptilian sisters.
"Perfectly 1kg!" Said Luna after measuring the received metal.
"We did it! Luna can you see any change in the Philosophers Sphere?" Asked Konrad.
"Philosophers Sphere?" Asked Hermione.
"What? We need to call it somehow right? And however you looked at it, it doesn't look like a stone, right? So, Luna?" Konrad reasoned and then urged Luna to continue.
"Well.." Luna looked the Sphere closely all over, looking for any changes and smiled after a moment. "It's in perfect condition! No visible change physically nor under the mage sight! It seems like we made a fully working and flawless specimen of a Philosophers Stone!" She exclaimed.
"Haha we did it!" Konrad shouted and hugged Hermione happily.
"Alright! So now let's go and see the proportions of the ingredients so we can oversee and predict the amount of the output material for future projects!" Hermione said.
The trio did just that. They could now put a specific amount of ingredients to produce a philosophers stone of a dėsɨrėd size. The reason they needed that was because a spherical shape wasn't the only type of a Philosophers Stone they needed. They were already imagining different projects they could expand using a Philosophers Stone of a specific shape. A spherical one was a perfect conductor for the energized matter but the other properties of the stone could be used in other processes. For example conducting magical energy. At first Konrad thought about using the stone as a conduit of sort but because of the stones extreme hardness and a lack of flexibility, Konrad decided to forgone the idea and instead apply it in other form. The formation itself! The philosophers stone should in theory work much better than the magical solution commonly used in writing the magical formations. So the trio decided to try using it in that mater.
Their first idea was to crush one of the stones they procured after a few weeks of research on the Philosophers Sphere, but they quickly found out that the smaller the piece the worse the performance, and a powdered stone actually interfere with the channeling of magic making it go astray instead of being channeled.
In the end the trio had to use the second idea. They were a little reluctant because of the amount of material they needed to use and of the amount of focus they would need to expend, so they first went with a smaller test. They started with the smaller formation. The lead to gold one.
They worked for a few days procuring the required parts and finally everything was ready! A formation created fully from Philosophers Stones shaped as runes and ritual symbols! Konrad really liked how the crimson pentagram looked when he hold it in his hands. Then he snorted and said.
"So...when did magic became LEGO? Hahaha" he laughed realizing how they just made the most powerful blocks for kids.
"Hmph, it might be LEGO but think about it Konrad! If it works as we hope it would be a perfect to design magic formations and test them quickly! We would also never had to make the formation solution!" Hermione exclaimed.
"Yeah! The same with runes and wards!" Said Luna. "I can already imagine the unbreakable barriers and never exploding runes!" She said causing Konrad to compare her to a dog salivating on seeing a huge steak. He giggled on the metal image.
"You're right girls. I can already see ideas forming in my head!" Konrad grinned.
"Alright, so let's put this pieces together and let's try the formation once again!" He said.
"Do you think we still need the Philosophers Sphere acting as the focus?" Hermione asked.
"...Hmmm that's a good question. Lets try it firs with the Sphere and the next time without it. We would then see any changes." Konrad said.
The girls nodded and the stacking of blocks started. Soon the formation was ready and the Sphere and a 1kg of lead were in place.
Konrad poured the magic into the formation and felt his magic smoothly moving between the different pieces of the formation. It was a good felling. Much smoother and faster than with the old formation solution. Then the lead started disintegrating but instead of flying up in a wisp the energized matter got suċkėd into the pentagram around the lead. Konrad was surprised with that but didn't stop. He was curious how it would end. The entire lead disappeared and the formation glowed brighter until the light gathered around the Sphere and the silver matter showed itself again flying straight into the Sphere. It stopped flowing inside and then the Runes responsible for the transformation glowed brighter and the silver light gloving from the inside of the Philosophers Sphere changed into golden only for the now golden matter to exit the Sphere and come back into the pentagram around it. The formation gloved brighter once again only to gather around the output pentagram and release the golden matter that soon created a brand new lump of shapeless gold.
"It..worked? It worked!" Exclaimed Konrad jumping to hug his two girlfriend. "It works haha! We did it!" Everyone cheered happily hugging and jumping in excitement.
When they finally cooled of Hermione activated her scientists mode.
"Alright so what were the changes? Is the gold still exactly 1kg?"
"Yes it is!"Luna said after measuring the golden lump.
"But there was a change!" Konrad said. "I used at max a third of the magic energy I needed with the old solution, and it was much faster!
"Really? I registered the time but for it to lessen the amount of magic as well!" Said Hermione. "Luna how did it look from your side?"
"It was Beautiful! The energy moved extremely smoothly compared to the old solution and I could see Konrad expending less energy probably because the matter was conducted mostly through the formation itself and not being suspended in the air with the need of stabilizing its energy. And talking about stabilizing, this was the most stable formation I've ever seen!" Luna explained.
Just like this the trio worked on their formation projects and expanding their 'LEGO' collection for most of the summer completely forgetting about the few side projects they had, like the Founders Artifacts the Black wand, that lied in a box in the corner of the room lonely with no one to cast with her for the first time in over a hundred years.

~So I'm to focus my magic and imagine my flame taking a specific form?~ asked a small yet already a meter heigh dragon.
~yes Sis! It would be so cool if you could make something like a fire dragon! It would really impress Daddy!~ replied a two meter long black snake with a purple crystal on her forehead, floating around the dragon.
~hmm, but I'm already a dragon. Wouldn't it be cooler to make something like a huge fire Octopus? I bet mommy would like to see that!~replied the dragon.
~octopus? Why would that be cool? I don't get it?~ replied the snake trying to ignore the blatant blasphemy of mommy over Daddy 'Daddy is the best!!!'
~You know! With all this tentacles it could attack many enemies at the same time and in different directions! And it would be a good way to confuse the enemy if they started pondering why there was a flaming octopus!~ said the dragon smugly.
~That's...actually a very good idea! Your so smart sis!~ said the snake wrapping herself playfully over the dragon looking her in the eyes. She also had to regretfully admit that it was an idea just as if it came from mommy. 'Ehh Im starting to think that she would never join my Daddy camp...'
~hihi thanks sista Crista~ replied the dragon.
~I told you not to call me that! Pleas just call me sister or Cristal!~ said the snake pleadingly.
~Don't..you... dare...~
~...Crista. Hahaha~
~Oh you little...!~ the snake started wrapping around the dragon harder but still only playing sending tickling charms through her crystal and freezing the floor making her dragon sister roll around because of the slippery surface.
~ahaha sister stop! Not under the wings! Hahaha.~
