Kuro no Senki

Episode 12: Gear

"Bastards, are you ready? Like!"

When the elf woman screams, yep! and her men stuck their fists out.

Yeah, and Duran groaned like a hangover morning, poking his fist out without force.

Duran's people are also sticking their fists out without help.

Why are you doing this? and Duran looked up to heaven.

I could see it from the gaps in the branches where the blue sky overlapped.

East-West streets connecting the group of free urban states with the Kingdom of Holy Argo, and the sky looking up from the road between them is narrow.

Why are you doing this? and Duran asked himself again.

The answer is out.

For the title, for the birth, for a bright future with Ange.

Duran stared at a knitted ring with his own wrist...... Ange's hair and tried to arouse himself.

But Duran couldn't stir himself up.

I knew why.

Because the commander is an elf woman.

I came all the way from the Empire City and it just seemed like a bad quality joke to be directed by an elf woman.

Now if the Elf woman was incompetent, she could have made him resign from the command, but the Elf woman was more competent than Duran, who kept four or five men together in the Imperial capital.

For example, understanding of the operation.

Duran dressed up as a bandit to kill a merchant and thought it was his role to take the load.

But the elf woman said their role was to overload the flow of money and things.

That's why it's enough to take away some money and stuff.

"My voice is low! It's like our job to freak out merchants and drive them to the ambush team! That doesn't mean anything freaking me out, like I'm not freaking out!

The Elf woman had divided the squad into two parts.

It's a division of roles where Duran's team drives merchants through East-West streets and the other team ambushes them.

"Bastards, are you ready? Like!"

Yep! and Duran screamed half abandoned himself.

"I don't kill you, I don't offend you... it's like getting a little baggage and money!

That's what I said, the elf woman put her horse around her head.

How's the economy? and Chrono greets the outdoor store owner and heads to the dining room and liquor store where there is only one in the city, buying the product appropriately.

It is not military uniforms that Chrono wears, but everyday clothes.

The dining room and tavern is south of the city.

Sometimes Guerro is scattered right in front of the store, but today was not fortunate.

Chrono entered the dining room through an open door and sat at the counter.

The store is dim and smells cluttered.

This cafeteria and liquor store has a specific weight for evening operations, so the counter during the day is the designated seat for Chrono.

But I can't count on the service at this hour.

After a while, there was a murmuring sound of stairs.

When Chrono turned around, one woman was about to come down from upstairs.

"Oh, all of them"

Woman...... Miley moved inside the counter, scratching her neck like a billionaire.

Millet is a waitress in the cafeteria and tavern.

His face is neat there, but he's always heartless because of his bad time slot.

Brown's long hair comes with sleeping habits, and his outfit is messy.

"Yes, go away."

……

Millet placed the cup on the counter while making a huge stretch.

Chrono carried a cup with a missing edge to his mouth and sipped warm incense tea.

"Hmm, good for the rest of last night?

"Whatever."

"Bye, yes"

Chrono caught the bread Mirei threw.

The bread looks stiff and gray on the inside.

This bread is full of clutter.

Chrono placed a bracelet at the counter knitted with several copper coins and brightly colored yarns bought at the dewstore.

"A gift?"

"Well, like that"

Millet wrapped her bracelet around her wrist just a little happily.

"Maybe you're going to be dictating?

"I needed to shop to get along with the city people. Think of it as hemming."

The hemming, Mirei said, stared at the bracelet.

"Why do you need to get along with the city guys?

"I want someone to talk to."

"Ahhh, General Ignis may not be the type to smile and bicker. But that's also true for relatives."

Chrono wants to get along with the city's residents to gather information.

It's the same reason they use the dining room and tavern.

Incidentally, "relatives of Ignis" is a title to avoid suspicion from the surroundings.

"No funny stories?

"I don't know if it's funny, but it looks like a bandit's out on the east and west streets"

Phew, Chrono nodded.

Separate teams seem to be doing their job.

Most of all, I don't even know if I'm doing my job well just listening to Miley.

"Yes, soup"

Millet put a plate on the counter.

What's on the plate is crumb vegetables and round-cut sausage soup.

Chrono carried the soup to his mouth.

The meal served at Ignis' mansion was quite delicious, but this soup lacks salt.

They are probably saving salt because the price of salt will jump by the time they are transported to Ignis territory.

Sometimes you can tell by one dish, Krono nodded over and over again.

Chrono gathered information, eating slowly.

"If you come at night, I'll serve you, though?

"I don't like alcohol, and my little Ignis is so loud."

Chrono flaunted his shoulders and left the dining room and tavern behind.

Chrono followed the way he came and returned to Ignis' mansion.

The development of the sales network seems to be going well because it rubbed off with the luggage along the way.

I heard the sound of a wooden sword meeting from the garden.

Chrono sewed through the gaps in the growing trees, aiming at the source of the sound.

Vision expands rapidly.

I went out to the open area of the garden.

There Faye and Leonhardt were meeting wooden swords.

Rio is sitting a little further away.

"... Chrono, how was the information-gathering?

Separate teams seem to be doing their job.

"You don't float for it, do you?

"After all, I thought it hurt not to have the means to contact me. I'm sure Aridead and Deneb will take care of this one."

Alidead and Deneb are the only ones who rely on us in situations where we don't have the means to contact them.

Aridead and Deneb seem like idiots for what they usually say and do, but they should act as officers.

"What about you?

"This one's a sword archery in the morning. I'm going to be able to use my sword quite a bit, but those two are different."

Phew, and Chrono hammered appropriately and turned his attention to Faye and Leonhardt.

Faye and Leonhardt meet the wooden sword at a tremendous speed.

It's as fast as I think we're both moving in anticipation of the future.

"What do you say?"

"As far as I can tell, Faye is slightly disadvantaged."

Chrono didn't know which was the dominant when he was briefed by Rio.

All I can understand is that both Faye and Leonhardt are owners of Chrono and another dimension of strength.

"What's the reversal?

"It's almost a pure swordsmanship battle."

Which means it's impossible to reverse Faye.

Leonhardt feels like he's going to respond flat, even if Faye is aiming for reversals with rushes and odd moves.

"Even so, you both look like you're having fun ~"

Leonhardt has a thin grin, as Faye says he can't stand it.

"Isn't he a joy to meet a man of comparable strength?

"Is that what this is about?

That's what I'm talking about.

Rio nodded with a translation face.

"Oh, it's going to be over."

Shortly after Rio said it, Faye shook down the wooden sword.

Leonhardt stuffed the distance to slip the sides of the wooden sword, poking the tip of the wooden sword at Faye's neck.

"Yes, sir."

"Hmm, this is the first time I've ever been cornered so much"

Leonhardt withdrew his wooden sword and wiped the sweat on his forehead with the sleeves of his clothes.

"You look happy, huh?

"My dream was to fight Lord Leonhardt side by side. After my dreams come true, I feel like I have a swordsmanship match."

As Chrono asked, Faye put his hand on his chest and closed his eyes as if to bite the joy.

"Hmm, was it your dream to join the First Kingsguard Knights?

"Stop! No pulling out!

Krono slipped Zuzaar down the ground and broke in between Faye and Leonhardt.

"Chrono, if you're thinking about the happiness of your men, why don't you send them out for pleasure?

"Ugg!

Chrono groaned at Rio's words.

Rio is right.

It may be happier for Fey to transfer to the First Kingsguard Knights than to be in the Thirteenth Kingsguard Knights, which is being treated in a discriminatory manner.

Chrono stared at Faye.

"... Faye"

"What is it?

"Well, if Faye wants to transfer to the First Kingsguard Knights, I'll gladly send them out."

Chrono said in a trembling voice.

"You're so skinny and patient."

"You bet! How much trouble it took me and Kane to raise Faye! That's what I'm going to get!

Chrono called.

Faye was a swordsmanship idiot when we met.

How much do you think you cared about raising Faye, who pulled Kane's leg with street security and was full-blown by bandits?

"Oh, my God, Leonhardt! Curse me! Curse me by that name!

The curse leaks out of Chrono's mouth.

Chrono put his hands together and prayed.

"You're so evil. Something's really coming up."

"If you're a demon, you're confident you can beat the crap out of me."

The trees in the garden swayed with zawazawa, and Rio and Leonhardt reached for the sword on their hips to be vigilant.

"Hey, hey...!

"You called me a weasel!

"I didn't call you! Go home!"

Chrono yelled at the cleric who jumped out of the bush.

"How dare you call me!

The cleric went back to the bush where he came out, saying boo-boo.

"Damn, I prayed desperately, but only the clergyman comes out"

Funny. I felt like I could summon a cosmic, fantastic evil god.

"Lord Leonhardt, can you defeat me?

"I won't be a monster or a monster."

Rio and Leonhardt exhaled as relieved.

"Dear Chrono, you don't have to worry so much. It was a long time ago that I wanted to fight alongside Lord Leonhardt."

"There's something I can't tell you about the old days."

Leonhardt said smudged.

"I am truly sorry. But what I want now is to work under Master Chrono."

"Thanks, Faye"

Krono remained on his knees, clinging to Faye.

"... it's kind of a moment when you know what it's like to be someone who says, 'This guy says I'm not here'"

Faye gave a subtle look.

"Ha, I'm really tired. It's really a hassle to negotiate."

As Chrono opened the front door, Elaine complained, approaching.

So much so that I go out of my way to say that, that I prepare under the wholesale market...... I guess the negotiations with the merchants and nobles of the Kingdom of Holy Argo are going well.

Neither Faye, nor Rio, nor Lord Leonhardt wanted to hear about Mr. Elaine's dislike, and he was training swordsmanship in the garden, right? and Chrono thought of a fellow who would still continue his swordsmanship training in the garden.

"But the distribution network that I struggle to build will be successfully used by my peers. In total, don't you think I'm losing it?

You think I'm losing it, don't you? and Elaine drowned in chrono.

"So maybe you could lower the price of salt a little bit?

"Ah! Ignis, my little father!

"Who's my little father!

When Chrono called, Ignis rushed over to Chrono with tremendous speed.

"Oh, no, you were set up as my, uh, remote relative."

Ignis coughed to regain his mind.

"Finally back, grain crusher. Shame on you for not doing your job and walking alone."

"Cereal crushing."

"I'm going to call it cereal crushing if even my own children grow up to be cereal crushing. No, throw it out of the house before that."

It's really going to do it, Krono stared at Ignis, who is good at it.

"So, what can I do for you?

"What's Mr. Elaine's reward for being able to host the market well?

"Shoba bill for the market...... no, was it a participation fee? exemption for ten years."

As Chrono turned his gaze, Elaine strayed from Chrono's gaze.

As she tried to get around to her sight, Elaine turned away.

"Mr. Elaine, Mr. Elaine Sinner. You mean you're losing in total?

"Oh, did I say that? I'm having a headache, so I'm gonna lie down."

Chrono deliberately dropped off Elaine holding his temples.

"Ten years of participation fee waivers or something?

"I don't know if it's going to last ten years. It's a market participation fee. It's not enough to spare. On the contrary, Elaine is the greatest credit if it's going to last ten years. Rather, it's cheap."

Ignis replied in a frustrating tone to Chrono's light mouth.

"Hey, do you have time?

"I do."

"We're changing places."

That's what I said, Ignis walked out.

Chrono keeps a certain distance and follows Ignis.

Ignis sat in his chair when he entered a room on the third floor...... a study or an office...

Elbow on the elbow and poke the cheek wand.

That's a grumpy attitude.

"This is the first time I've talked to you."

"Well, I was avoiding being alone. in the sense of preserving life."

An awkward silence descends.

Naturally.

Chrono and Ignis were enemies.

I still can't say I'm on your side.

I'm not going to kill you.

"Thank you."

Chrono couldn't read through Ignis' intentions and answered vaguely.

"Now, if I kill you, there's no harm there. It's just self-satisfaction."

You're not a bad person, Krono thought.

Ignis is a straightforward character, but he's not a bad person.

Rather, I can like it.

If we had met differently, we could have been friends.

But Chrono remembers.

You can't forget the moment Ignis burned an elf woman to death when his men were blown away by Ignis' divine authority.

So this is the end of the story.

Both Chrono and Ignis are killing too much to flush everything into the water.

Chrono and Ignis can't be friends.

"I'll cooperate as circumstances permit."

Did they take your word for it? No, are you checking your standing position? and Chrono followed Ignis' room.

Well, where is Mr. Theon? and Chrono walked snuggly through Ignis' mansion and discovered Scion in the living room on the ground floor.

Theon was sitting on a faded couch and reading a book.

"Mr. Scion, are you free?

"Huh? Um, excuse me"

Theon dropped his shoulder in regret.

Maybe he felt blamed.

"Don't worry about it. It's my fault Mr. Zion's free time."

"It makes me feel a little easier when you say that."

Mr. Theon doesn't seem to have a common topic with anyone, and should I have been careful? and Chrono sat next to Zion.

"When you do this, you think about a lot of things"

"Oh, yeah, you are"

Chrono hammered.

"... about my dead father or something"

It's heavy! And Chrono barely managed to penetrate.

"Have you thought about anything else?

"About God."

Heavier and heavier! and Chrono nearly held his head.

"I've been trying for myself, but I was wondering when I could make up with God"

Ugh, and Chrono groaned.

I'm sure Mr. Zion is in a fight with God right now.

Otherwise, God gave me time to calm down, Krono told Zion.

It was two years ago.

"Haven't I finished staring at my feelings yet?

If Mr. Zion looks firmly at his feelings and can make up with God, even divine authority will be available, Krono said.

Two years ago, Chrono was desperate to encourage Scion, but he didn't think the problem would solve it for two years.

Mr. Zion is losing confidence, Krono thought.

Now Zion is not sure of his correctness.

If Kamikaze had been available again, Zion would have been believed that his chosen path had not gone wrong.

Because it is synonymous with God's recognition that theology can be used for Theon.

Chrono clenched his neckline.

There are words to hang on Zion.

But I feel that even if Chrono teaches, Theon can't realize the meaning of the word.

"I don't think what Mr. Theon's been doing is wrong."

"Yes, is it?

Speaking of super-negative people, or as if they were children detached from their parents, Krono stared at Scion.

I hope this operation didn't have a negative impact on Mr. Scion, but Krono rose off the couch, thinking more like now.
