Labyrinth Restaurant

'Ancestors' too many problems

"Monsieur Simon, do you have time now?

"Cosmos, yeah, that's good."

On a certain day of the year, in a certain place.

Today and today Cosmos mentioned something odd.

"See, some of the long-historical stores are called established?

"Um, there is."

In the case of Simon's home, the opportunity to go out of our way and shop isn't so much, but it's not at all.

And when it comes to shopping for royalty, it's mostly an established place that values format and tradition. Simon also had the experience of being taken by his parents and siblings (today) to such restaurants and decorations.

Most of all, I can't say it's just pleasant memories.

Food stores aren't trained enough yet to enjoy seeing that they're dresses just for jewelry anyway. Finally, the evil sisters were about to put on the woman's clothes and she fell into a pinch.

"So, there are places in the old world that are called 'Ancestors' and 'Main House'."

"'Ancestors' means... that the store was the first to sell something that would make it a specialty. That's definitely going to be good publicity."

"Isn't it? But, strangely, there are many 'ancestors' and 'main houses' for the same product."

A specialty widely known in the world.

There must have been a "someone" in those things to think about first.

To be honest, you can name an 'ancestor' or 'main house' only to those connected for some reason, such as that 'someone' himself or his disciples or descendants.

"Uhm, doesn't that... mean a store other than the real one is spitting lies? Though for publicity purposes, I don't think it was very complimentary."

"No, there won't be any cases like that in there, but Cotto isn't that simple either. I mean, if they're both real."

"He said they were both real. Is that what happened?

"Yeah, that's pretty much it. If we describe it accurately, we both think we're real."

For example, suppose there were stores A and B serving specialty dishes called X.

A and B both call themselves' Ancestors' and naturally claim that they were the first to develop that menu...... Now, how do I prove that?

It's not limited to cooking, but there are not many people in the world who come up with similar ideas at much the same time.

It can also be a perfectly laughable coincidence that this is the academic world, such as "someone else in red presented much the same content at the last minute timing of trying to present a study that has been underway within decades".

"Hmm, if you ask me, isn't it unlikely that other people in red will even make the same thing at the same time by chance"

"Well, technically, there may be a few days or hours, or a shorter time difference, but there's no way to prove it first, so hey. If it's an old shop like the one I came up with that died a long time ago, I'll take care of it."

"Uhm, that's a really hard story"

Thus, there is virtually no means of solving the problem of multiple 'ancestors'. It may be possible to legally contest the right to use words with other 'ancestors', but that will never happen when it comes to convincing each other's store officials and customers. In a world where the recording of information and developments in the field of communications are still immature, it is also difficult to verify the reliability of evidence and testimony.

"So how do we solve this?

"Simon, that's the idea of reversal. You don't have to solve it. No, you just have to think."

"What?"

"I mean, you're pretending not to look. I wonder if it would be an optimal solution to compete with quality without worrying about other 'ancestors' or 'main houses'. The propaganda effect of 'The Ancestors' is really huge, but it doesn't seem to rely on that alone. Which one of us is ahead? You just have to aim for a reputation in the direction of selling the best things at the moment than that."

"Well, that's the way to go."

There's only so much value in the 'ancestor' name value, but don't seem to depend on it. Truly enhancing the quality of the product and satisfying the customers of each of those times is the right way to do business.

"So, it's Cosmos. Why did you tell me this?

"Oops, you did. I mean, the word 'ancestor' is essentially free material that you can call yourself whatever you want, but there's no way to control it."

"Hmm, I see... I see?

"Then I wonder if I could do business with an" ancestor shop "that would make up a similar history and name the" ancestor "for a store that craves a promotional effect. So I'm the ancestor of Ancestor House. We only sell 'ancestors' who are alive and well as new" caught in our shop

"No, isn't it strange to conclude that earlier on? Where did the business path go?

"Hehe, if he is, he's dead!

"Dead..."

That's how Cosmos started his business of becoming an 'ancestor' selling 'ancestor' in a labyrinth city.

But it's not just about thinking and momentum to start a business or anything.

Anyway, labyrinth cities are originally full of migrants from elsewhere, and only years have passed since they were established as cities to the point where they can still be counted with one finger. No matter how many 'ancestors' you name in a place like that, you have no weight or gratitude. In the end, there was little demand for 'ancestors', and Cosmos himself quickly got bored and forgotten.
