It is her graduation day. Other than her wedding, it's probably the most memorable day she'll ever have.

Was she selfish for craving her father's attention and wishing her late mother could be there with her? She wanted all her loved ones to witness the moment and share her happiness with her. One was gone and the other didn't care. Trying to be positive, she went to eat at a restaurant with her brother to celebrate.

The road to starting a jewelry business was closer than ever before, but why did she feel that it was still out of reach.

They had planned out the entire thing together and now she has her degree, the first step is complete.

Even though her mother is gone, she could still hire a goldsmith and jewelers couldn't she?

She had the money for it, she had the brains for it... so what's holding her back?

Su Lian closes her book and lightly massages for her forehead.

The loud noise coming from downstairs makes it hard for her to concentrate on what she's reading.

Their father was out of town again and Qin Rong invited a bunch of friends over to throw a party for Su Mo Chou's twenty-first birthday.

Her birthday isn't actually today, it's next week. Today they were just having a pre-party.

She puts the book away and brings out a tiny black box.

Holding it in the palm of her hand, she caresses it for a while before finally opening it.

Inside laid two matching rings. They were shimmering silver and had identical hoops carved on each one. When joined together, they would form a heart.

Her mother had designed for her before she died.

She called it timeless.

Love that would last forever. She was supposed to keep one and give the other to the man she loved. Once she did fall in love.

Her phone beeps and she opens it seeing that it was a text from Han Yuan.

Yuan: 'Come over, I miss you.'

After reading it, she felt ecstatic.

Most of the time, he would never go out of his way to reach her. And even if he did, he never said anything mushy like 'I miss you.' It was almost as if the text didn't come from him.

After hurriedly dressing up, she leaves the house through the back door to avoid Qin Rong and Su Mo Chou's guests.

Arriving at his condo, a scar-faced woman opens the door.

Su Lian notices that she has seen her before. Only once though when she was at a gallery with Han Yuan.

If she isn't mistaken, her name should be Shen Xun. She didn't think they would be close enough for her to be at his house.

The girl smiled politely but seemed to be hiding something.

"Where is Yuan?"

"I-in his room."

Su Lian ignored her wierd behaviuor and ran to his door. In her hand she was clutching the ring box.

She had decided that he was the man she loved and there was no point in waiting. She would just give it to him.

Walking into to his room, she almost faints at the sight.

Two naked bodies intertwined.
