Leveling God

"Stop talking I will announce something" Fidd said loudly.

The students got quiet and looked at the teacher waiting for his announcement.

"You can keep the device in your wrist, you all know that there's a ranking in the student. That device in your wrist have the information about the ranking in the academy, and it updated everytime there's new student that rise in ranking." Fidd explained. He looked around the student before he continue, "The device can also record when you duel other student. How many win and lose you have.

"Now you all can join the ranking by defeating those students in the top rank. You're all new here, so the first year ranking was not decided yet. The ranking in the first year will be decided next week, so do your best to get into top" Fidd said the last line while looking at William.

After Fidd's announcement he dismissed the class.

After the class, William went to west forest to level up and gain points.

It's been a week, William haven't participated in any duel and the top ranking in the first year has been dicided. In this week William kept going in and out of the west forest, he manage to level to 15 in one week and gained many points.

He checked his stats.

William checked how many points he need to level the fireball skill to level 3.

Fireball‹level3› = 40 points

William didn't hesitate to spend 40 points to level up the fireball skill.

He went back to the house and found that his sister Claire was waiting for him.

"Say brother, why do you always return late?" Claire asked as she put up an angry face.

William looked at his lovely sister that acted like a child. He took a step forward and pinch her soft cheeks.

"You know I always do some training after the class in the forest, you know I'm level 15 now" William said as he kept pinching her cheeks.

"Ahhh!! Stop doing that brother, I'm the older one here so naturally I will scold you if you returned... Late ..ahhhh!!" Claire held William's hand trying to stop him from pinching her cheeks. She suddenly thought what his brother said, level 15?

"What!? Brother your already level 15!!?" Claire looked at his brother in shocked. A week ago William was level 8 and only a week have pass he's level now is 15.

William nodded he would not hide something like that to his sister.

"Brother will only keep getting stronger and soon will surpass my sister, I will protect my lovely sister" William said as he gently brushed his sister's hair.

Claire blushed when she heard his words, she could only lower her head. She felt something was off, she looked up and saw her brother lost in thoughts.

She was about to say something, she suddenly heard a voice coming from behind.

"Oi!! You brother and sister stop flirting, you could that in your own room"

Claire was startled and pushed William, then she looked behind and saw a smug looked of her aunty.

"Ouch!! it hurts sister, how could do that to your own brother, your at level 42 and I'm at 15 and you used your strength to push me" William said while he fake crying. William only acted like this when he was with his sister.

"Ah! Sorry brother!!" Claire said loudly before she immediately went back to her room.

William and his aunt Margie laughed at Claire.

Early in the morning, William heard his sister waking him up.

"Brother wake up"

"Your gonna be late"

He slowly opened his eye's and yawn, before he replied, "OKAY!!"

He stretched for a while before he got up and washed his face.

After he finished his preparation he wore his uniform and nodded to himself in the mirror.

"Aunt I'm going to academy!!" William shouted before he walked outside of the house.

While he was walking to the academy, he heard someone call him.

"William"

William turned his head to looked behind. He saw James running towards him while waving his hand's. He stopped on his track and waited for James. For this past week James was the only one who talked to him beside Alice who kept challenging him to a duel.

That's right, Alice kept challenging him. Of course, William didn't accept her challenge, he didn't want to participate in that troublesome matter.

Flashback six days ago.

James and William was walking to towards the academy while they were talking.

"William, do you have someone in your mind who you want to challenge?" James asked William as this was the first day that the first year can participate in the duel ranking.

"I don't have anyone in my mind" William wave his hand.

"Well.... if someone challenge you what would you do?" James pondered for a while before he continued.

"It depends.... If the person who challenge me is annoying or not" William said, he remembers someone face before he said with a smirk, "someone might challenge me this morning"

"Hmmm" James heard this and he could only guess who would challenge William.

Both of them arrived at the classroom and sat in their respective seat. Suddenly the door slam opened, Alice entered the room and walked in front of William.

"I, Alice Feinberd challenge you to a duel William Hamperson" Alice declared loudly.

"I decline" William said without hesitation.

"Eeeehhhhh!!" James screamed, he thought, 'he knows from the start that Alice will challenge him'

"Hehehehehe!!" James laughed evilly in the corner.

Back to the present.

William and James entered the classroom and sat in their own seat, then a voice echoed in the whole classroom.

"William come and accept my challenge"

He looked around and saw Alice standing in the front.

"Hahaha!! There she is" James laughed loudly.

"Yeah" William nodded his head to James before he looked at Alice and said, "no, that's troublesome"

Alice grit her teeth, she expected this answer.

At lunch break, William and James was eating a bread in the rooftop. William felt an ominous presence behind him, before he turned around he heard a familiar voice.

"William I finally found you"

It was Alice. The one who kept challenging William but William didn't bother to accept her challenge.

"Hahahaha!!" James laughed loudly before he looked at Alice and said, "good afternoon Alice, how about you join us"

"James you..." William said helplessly.

Alice saw that William ignore her, this only made her furious. She usually wasn't like this but when it comes to this man, she felt her blood boiling.

James looked at the two of them and found this scene funny. William was looking in a distance with a poker face while Alice was looking at him with a dark expression as she kept gritting her teeth.

"William Alice, I'm heading out now enjoy your time" James said as he winked at William.

"Oi!! James" William tried to grab James, but James dodge and immediately left.

"Shit!!" William cursed under his breath.
