Little Purple

Chapter 106

"It literally saddens me," he said as he felt thirsty again. He looked at the think bamboo forest that surrounded them. There was a sharp knife on his rucksack, he planned to make a wind glider from the bamboo and clothes that he brought along. As he used the knife to cut down the trees, the poor cursed prince sighed. "This will be another long night for me."

He was right, it was a very long night for him. As he indeed needed to get rid of a herd of hogs. Later in the morning, just before the sun was up, Hu Zi found him laying on the ground, weak and pale. It was fortunate for him that he could even move at all.

After they ate their breakfast, she tidied the camping ground. She carried him on her back jumped around with the help of wind until they arrived at the highest cliff where she would take flight.

By this time, Lan finally was able to move freely, tough enough to confront whatever trouble was going to come next… At least, he thought so.

"Oh, no…" He said as he looked below, this place was higher than he imagined. "Zi, tell me that you aren't going to jump from here. Aren't you afraid that you will fall?"

"Well…" Before he knew it, she was already at the edge of the cliff, seemingly unafraid of anything that will happen when she stood that close to the edge. "I am used to be thrown from the sky by my shifu so"

His face immediately darkened, he really wanted to know just what kind of man he was, that shifu of hers.

This place sure does have a very strong wind, even though he was standing fairly on the flat ground, away from the edge, it was hard for him to even stand still. Knowing that, one could guess how hard it would be to keep balance on Hu Zi's place.

"Zi, step back, come here," he pleaded. Gulping whether he imagined the sharp bamboo tips waiting below if a mishap happened.

Jin Lan looked very worried so, she even started to think about going back. She sighed and said, "alright." But she was too late.

Her feet slipped as a sudden gust of wind passed by.

Hu Zi's eyes widened. She fell.

"Hu Zi!" Lan shouted. He needed to think fast.

He was very glad that he managed to finish the rectangular-shaped wind glider last night, just before the hogs attacked their campground. He took the sail and jumped from the cliff.

The sail was made so it will expand when he pulled the handle down. He was flying.

Gliding, to be exact.

Hu Zi, who was supposed to fall, suddenly came up to him just before he went down to catch her. "Zi?" His eyes widened, she was really flying. Below her feet was a thin gust of wind that kept her on air.

She was smiling as she took one of his hand. She said, "This is a honeymoon, isn't it?" As he slowly realized what she meant, she happily guided him. "Let's fly together, Lan."

The morning rays finally hit his cheek, making the pale colors seemed healthy. He looked up and saw Hu Zi's cheerful face as she enjoyed the wind blowing her silky black hair that hit her snow-like face, making a beautiful and enchanting contrast that made him unable to look away.

He blinked and shook his head.

Far below them was the sea of bamboo forest, he could see the river flowing and animals running here and there, he even saw a herd of hogs far ahead. "That bald head! That is the herd that tried to steal our packaged meal!" The corner of his mouth immediately twitched. "Because of those hogs, we only have half of our meal left."

Fortunately, that made their rucksack much lighter and he could carry it as he flew. He suddenly grinned and thought or a plan.

"I am not done with you all just yet!" He thought as he let go of Hu Zi's hand to get something from his rucksack that was tied to one end of the glider's handle, Hu Zi's was tied to the other end.

Hu Zi looked at him with questions in her eyes, wondering what he was doing this time.

"I will teach you what will happen if you make this prince mad!" He said s his grin widened.

He seemed to take a small bag of pebbles, no, they are fruits, round shaped red fruits. Little did she know that those weren't just ordinary fruits, Those are fire fruits.

These fruits were one of the ingredients for the ointment he gave to Hu Zi last night.

Although it was a great ointment material, it was advised not to eat these fruits. The reason why had something to do with the name, fire fruit.

They are very hot if eaten raw.

The thing was, this fruit looked the same as ordinary berries people could find everywhere, the taste was similar too. The burning feeling will only be felt a few minutes after they gulped the fruit down.

"Heh," he smirked. "You hogs, your greed and glutton will backfire on you."
