Living In The Future ABO

Chapter 119 - Kronos Feels Conflicted

Still, in editing, wait about 10 minutes and refresh the page.

After 4 days of investigations, it was discovered that at least two-pillar scientists at the Academy of Space Development and Technology in the capital had mind-controlling worms.

According to the reports, it was dangerous to allow those with ties to Concubine Jang to remain in positions of power and that everyone should be properly investigated and taken to the laboratories for testing.

This would move a large number of human resources from the military and financial power to maintain the investigation, which caused a tremendous headache. Whenever the military got involved, there was a struggle between the nobles to sponsor the leaders and obtain the glory, in addition to the civil forces that demanded impartiality in investigations and future trials.

However, the more nobles try to get involved, the easier it will be to hide evidence in such an investigation. The morning discussions were about that, the civilians didn't want the nobles to get involved in any way in the investigation, the nobles wanted military conquests and of course to attract the attention of the new emperor.

"What are you thinking frowning so hard?" the arrogant voice rang out in the office. Ade looked up and saw Emery's face very close to him.

Ade looked surprised and looked around, but there was no one else.

"Secretary Berta told me you were resting and left with everyone else, this was about ten minutes ago, I waited and you didn't leave. The butler has already gone upstairs to tell you about dinner, but you haven't responded. I could only come in to see if you were still alive"

Ade was stunned for a moment and blinked his eyes reddened from reading files.

Emery felt strange and uneasy, he didn't like to see this tired and seemingly lost face of the emperor, almost instinctively he reached up and touched the side of the alpha's face.

Ade smelled the scent of Emery's pheromones and rubbed his face in Emery's hand, it made almost all the tiredness disappear.

"Let's have dinner?" asked Emery after being silent for a while watching Ade close his eyes as he rested his face in his (Emery) pale hand.

Ade hugged Emery and rubbed his face against his chest, he looked like a little cat in need of attention. The titan felt helpless, an alpha so big and powerful acting so helplessly, he told himself he had no choice but to comfort the other party by stroking his snow-white hair.

After a few minutes, Ade finally seemed satisfied and they finally went down to dinner, something Emery was secretly looking forward to since now he was in a mortal body he could enjoy the food to its fullest. He didn't think of himself as a foodie, but he couldn't deny that for every mealtime he felt incredibly excited.

For Ade, who only ate at the office alone or with his family on a few occasions, accompanying Emery at meals was a pleasure in itself, despite the sullen mood that others got when he held a conversation, as the omega seemed very interested in eating.

But even in a bad mood, Emery was cute, which made Ade cause even more trouble for him.

Even though he wanted to enjoy the company of his omega, Emery insisted that he wear the recovery capsule for at least an hour before starting the evening's meeting with the rulers and mayors of the colony cities.

Emery was free to do whatever he wanted now that Ade was in the capsule, but he sat in an armchair beside him and covered himself with a blanket himself, when Juma Berta arrived half an hour later he found this very sweet scene of the omega watching by his Alpha.

In the palace located in the black hole, Themis entered the hall to find her older brother Kronos, she saw the titan with his eyes focused on a spot on the wall, which was quite strange.

"Kronos... Kronos... Emery?" Themis called a few times and it didn't work until she called the name that supposedly her older brother hated the most.

Kronos at last seemed to have awakened from whatever he was thinking at the time.

"Any news, Themis?"

"Our generals are asking if they should interfere with the friction between the Silver Angels and the Zerg Diablos, it would create more chaos and give us more chance to kill this Mu Liang... They also want to know if they should deal with the Shadows of Death, they found a lot of these things in the galaxy newly discovered by the Diablo Empire..." Themis began to report some things that had happened after the failure of the plan to kill Prince Mu.

Shadows of Death was a devouring species, but it only devoured the lives of conscious beings, so plants, ores, and other things remained intact. Even the gods had to fear this species any slip they might some of their divine powers.

"On the attacks on Prince Mu, you can say that they should settle and that they focus more on finding the species that are spreading the chaos of the Diablo Empire, I want to know the reason for each one of them. As for the Shadows of Death, the gods of this universe are keeping an eye on them, so it would be risky to ask our men to get involved. However, you already know how important Prince Gyasi is to our plan, so our subordinates must maintain adequate protection around Gyasi's soldiers who are in the new galaxy."

Themis was shocked by the first part of Kronos's response but was relieved that part of the plan hadn't changed and that her older brother wasn't blinded with such hatred to forget that they shouldn't draw the attention of the gods of this universe, at least not until they found Uranus.

"I thought you wanted to make sure the future wouldn't change" Themis commented without question, she well knew Kronos was intolerant of questions after he gave an order.

Kronos looked at his sister and wondered if he should tell her what was going on, in the end, he decided to tell the truth as he would make a new request about the future and she would find out anyway about his avatar in Diablo Empire.

"Now I understand, with you in the Diablo Empire then you don't need to keep an eye on Prince Mu, anything you can interfere," Themis said after listening to Kronos's account.

"You can consider it so"

Themis then withdrew from the throne room and went to a temple in the vicinity of the Palace, she would start a new ritual to check the future again, she called her priestesses and began the process of purifying their environment and bodies.

Kronos who was left alone had a helpless smile, if Themis saw this she would be shocked to see her brother show such an expression instead of the typical coldness and indifference, sometimes anger.

He who had part of his being divided with a part in the palace and another in the avatar, but his central body received all the information, including the emotions that the avatar felt.

Kronos knew that he shouldn't allow himself to feel that warm and let his emotions go, he always ended up being miserable in the end. However, he also couldn't let go of the avatar and break away from feeling again.

"For now, let's just stay vigilant," he thought after some conflicting thoughts.

Emery then opened his eyes and realized he was on a comfortable bed back in Ade's room, but not Ade to be seen. He rolled over in the comfortable bed and allowed himself the indulgence of being lazy for a few minutes.

Until he felt the sinister presence at his window, which was quite peculiar since this was the Emperor's Palace, a sinister presence shouldn't exist.

"Oh, a curse... I didn't know there were still beings capable of such a thing," Emery thought a little surprised and a little amused. A sinister shadow approached, violet and red runes looked like glistening blood drops flowing across the black figure.

Suddenly the alarm sounded in the palace, the shadow didn't seem affected by it and continued towards the bed, where it could feel the presence of a living being. The existence of this thing was to curse a strong living being, so fearlessly he threw himself into Emery's body.

Emery smiled and just raised his hand and time stopped for a few minutes, so he used what would be called dragon powers to create an energy block that housed space and time just using the Origin Energy of this body.

In short, he created a suitable space item to arrest the curse.

Dragons as one of the most powerful beings in the galaxies so far discovered did not belong to the Energy of Order or the Energy of Chaos, they were also not mixed like humans and the Zerg Diablos, they had an energy of their own that the researchers from other species they would call Origin Energy, as it is said that dragons appeared in the first explosion of life and that they were born ahead of other species.

The door opened and the tall black man, who had accompanied Emery during the visit to Mu Liang's current residence, appeared along with more imperial guards and everyone looked startled to see a shadow being sucked into a small silver cube.
