Living In The Future ABO

Chapter 121 - Interrogation (part 1)

Normally, Ade would not act like that with a friend, not even with his subordinates, as his character was much friendlier and more open than that of Emperor Ehione and he was often reprimanded by Juma Berta for being so simple which he usually isn't befitted the status of a monarch, but this was a delicate moment, honestly, he was acting out of his role as emperor.

Emery was going to ask Ade to calm down, because he didn't want Ade's image to be shaken and make him a tyrant, leaving Emery also with a reputation for being an evil beauty that had misled the emperor's character.

But before Emery could speak, suddenly entered the figure of a beautiful woman with night-black skin dressed in a long, shimmering gown in cyan blue and with a silver band that resembled a crown of thorns between her long and curly hair, with eyes like diamond stared at Emperor Ade, the imprisoned Emery, and all who knelt before them.

Her glowing eyes seemed to contain warm patience and a pearl of almost divine wisdom, mystically everyone around her felt better, even though they couldn't get up thanks to Ade's divine powers.

"My emperor must calm down now. Let your protégé clarify the situation so we can rest in peace and set him free without raising everyone's disgust and mistrust for fear that your majesty's life is in danger" the woman spoke humbly, but unlike the others, she was not kneeling and had her left hand on her chest bowing slightly.

Ade's divine power had no effect on the woman, but she behaved humbly and respectfully before the emperor the incarnation and will of the goddess Ashia.

"Judge Radhiya, I didn't know Chara had called you here," Ade said without diminishing his power, making the imperial guards even more suffocated, only to be covered again by a warm cloak coming from the woman with the silver thorn crown.

The imperial guards dared to call the imperial judge, which meant stepping on the dignity of imperial power, Ade was rightly irritated. This kind of situation in the time of Ehione or Kayin would have been unimaginable, not without a martial law punishment.

Ade thanks to the woman's powers calmed down a bit and remembered that he was harming the imperial envoy and his friend Juma Berta, so he withdrew his divine powers, making everyone sigh in relief.

The emperor looked only a little stunned at having acted so out of his mind, but then he looked seriously at the woman with the thorn crown. Then he looked at Emery who was looking at him.

"I'm fine, just do what you have to do," Emery said to Ade, he wanted to reassure the other not to generate more unnecessary friction between Ade and his subordinates.

Radhiya Lisha is part of the supreme imperial court, the seven judges who are part of the last instance of justice were blessed by the goddess of truth and justice Chioma.

They would not be easily subdued by the Emperor's powers unless the cause they were fighting did not represent truth and justice.

The leader of the Marshals who was the center of military power is Marshal Nanyamka Shakarri, an alpha-extreme woman of great military talent, who is a civilian who rose alone to the greatest power in the army, she earned the title of Countess, who passed to his daughter and has continued in the position for 100 years.

Nanyamka Shakarri is similar to Radhiya Lisha, she was blessed by one of the supreme divine trinities of the Zerg Diablos, in Marshal Nanyamka's case she is blessed by the god of war and courage Silko. She has the power that if the emperor's divine representation of the goddess Ashia acts as genocide or with atrocity against enemies (innocent civilians and its fighters) and against the people themselves, she can lead the army to dethrone the emperor.

This was quoted to show that the trinity of gods was balanced and that they acted for fairness and justice, everything else would be seen as sacrilege and they would lose the divine powers that were granted upon assuming their offices. Any lesser god did not have the power that this trinity had in its hands.

Returning to the prison of the headquarters of the imperial guard, Esi Chara wanted to disperse the imperial guards from the place, but Ade would not allow it and the emperor's orders were law. They were going to watch it all unfold live.

"Judge Radhiya, will you conduct the interrogation?" Ade asked a little calmer. The imperial envoy brought a chair for Ade to sit on and placed it beside Emery's transparent cell.

"No, the leader of the imperial guard, Miss Chara, will conduct the interrogation, but if Your Excellency will permit, I would like to use the divine item the Scale of Justice to test the veracity of the respondent's response."

"Judge Radhiya is quite bold," Ade said in a cool tone, which showed his displeasure, but didn't openly oppose the judge's request.

It would be better to leave everything clear to everyone, he didn't for a moment suspect the innocence of Emery, after all, if the other wanted to harm his life he could have done it anytime they were together.

Emery looked at all this in amazement, he had only defended himself and ended up in jail, now it looked like he was going to have a trial. He didn't know whether the target was himself or to attain the dignity of the emperor.

"I'm sorry for the impertinence, your majesty" Judge Radhiya said humbly and took out a small item similar to Earth's ancient scales, the item was made of white material on one side and black on the other side. She placed the item on top of Emery's transparent cell.

The titan felt the subtle power surrounding his cell, which prevented him from using his powers, if he did it would surely be discovered by the goddess Chioma, which would make all his plans fail miserably, besides causing a war between him and the gods of this divine pantheon.

"The first question, we want to know if the shadow that the guard Atsu saw, does it belong to you?" Esi Chara started to ask, she had in her electronic diary the unanswered questions they had thought of in the short time they had arrested Emery.

"No, when I woke up I saw the shadow on the window and it was strange as the height didn't allow anything common to reach the room, so the alarm went off and I knew it was some kind of intruder" Emery replied calmly, as was the truth the white side of the scale glowed.

"The second question, is this silver cube something you created?" Chara asked taking out the silver cube holding it with a small force field making it levitate to show the presents. It was just a silver cube the size of a two-year-old's fist.

"Yes, it's something I created," Emery said dryly, once again the white side of the divine item glowed, confirming the truth.

"Did you create this a long time ago and were you already in possession of the item or did you just create it for this emergency situation?"

"I created the moment I saw the shadow"

"What is this silver cube?"

"It's a cube that can contain living creatures, I didn't know what the shadow was so I could only create this way to trap the intruder"

"You created this high-tech cube in a few seconds, that's hard to believe, what did you use to create this?" Esi Chara asked more incisively, the creation of space items that contained living beings was a complex science, but nowadays this type of item already existed. However, it was difficult to create, it was unbelievable that a mortal could create this type of item in a few seconds.

"Miss didn't see your divine item confirming my claims, I created the item myself and in a few seconds," Emery said indifferently, once again the divine item glows with a milky white, proving that what he was talking about was the truth.

"You! That's not really possible…" Chara kept pressing the same button, asking the same question for a while, but the answer was the same and increasingly acidic on Emery's part, the divine item kept glowing milky white and nothing changed about the veracity of the facts reported by the white dragon.

"Miss Chara, stay on the line of questioning," Judge Radhiya asked seriously, she didn't like to be suspicious of the workings of the divine item.

"I am sorry, your excellency, I will continue to ask. How did you create such an item?" Esi Chara said after taking a deep breath and calming down a bit, returning to cold rationality.

"With my powers, how else would I create them?" Emery replied sarcastically, once again the divine glow item on the white part.

"What powers?"

"Dragon powers, Origin Energy, but what that I can't talk about," Emery replied casually.

"Miss Chara, if Emery doesn't want to talk about the creation process, that's his right. This is his intellectual property, we would be coercing him into revealing this secret. This is against the law of our empire, right, Judge Radhiya?" Juma Berta said acting as a lawyer for Emery, as the interrogation was going beyond reasonable limits and deviating from the purpose of knowing whether Emery was a threat to the emperor.

"I agree with you, Lord Juma. Miss Chara, you must not ask yourself about the process of creating the item, now proceed with the interrogation" said the judge looking at Emperor Ade who remained calm, but his eyes growing colder. A cold fury and even more dangerous than if he was agitated.
