Living In The Future ABO

Chapter 164 - Interrogation (Part 1)

Everyone was silent waiting for Wu Jian to say something, if that was true things were very bad in the Diablo Empire which could lead to an insurrection within the Imperial family itself.

Therefore, Chen Qian was seriously thinking that he should tell Emperor Mu what was going on and request that Prince Mu be taken back home, not a few times his life was in danger adding to a possible war within the own imperial family, which was too much for them outsiders.

"Chewe didn't say that, no matter how close we might be right now, he wouldn't tell me that I'm an outsider," Wu Jian said trying to reassure everyone.

"So, you just deduced that from what Chewe said about his father's behavior toward foreigners?" Chen Qian wanted to know, even though it was a theory of Wu Jian, it wasn't something he took out of thin air, there was something Chewe must have said that made Wu Jian deduce it.

"Yes, he said some things that showed that Duke Azikiwe didn't want our prince here. Also, the terrorist attack that targeted our lives is not strange, they seemed to know how to get in and out of the old tunnels, this cannot be done without having someone inside to pass on the information"

"Wu Jian!" Mu Liang said very seriously, this kind of assumption was dangerous and irritated the prince.

"Prince Mu... I know it sounds like I'm making unrealistic assumptions..."

"Wu Jian, do you have concrete evidence?" Mu Liang interrupted his subordinate again. It's not that he didn't believe Wu Jian's assumption, but without proof, if it were heard by others, like the palace staff, they would be seen as causing the disorder.

"Wu Jian, even if our analysis leads us down this path, we need proof. So give me a report with your analysis and the points based on facts... Let's do our investigation." Chen Qian spoke after the tense silence between Wu Jian and Mu Liang, she intervened so that there was no internal disagreement.

"Well, let's get started?" Emery returned to the main topic. He thought that with the information Wu Jian said, he could ask General Iyasu to investigate as well, despite the level of difficulty that would be to investigate the imperial family.

Of course, Emery was still waiting for the answer to who the traitor was within the army to keep him under surveillance.

Binah woke up with a light on her face, she blinked her eyes slowly, she felt strange dizziness and tried to use her hands to touch her head and see if she had any head injuries.

The sounds of the current echoed in the room and weighed on her wrist, she opened her eyes once more, but the light seemed blinding and she closed her eyes again.

"Oh, she woke up"

"When will the medicine take effect?"

"It should already be taking effect"

The voices kept talking around her, but she couldn't make out where the voices were coming from. The light on her face faded and everything went dark suddenly, she blinked her eyes several times, the memories seemed to flow through her mind at that moment.

"Shit!" she grumbled as she remembered that he had been captured by the then useless boyfriend of Emperor Ade.

Just by the way, she woke up, she could already deduce that she was going through some kind of interrogation, her head hurt a little. She didn't know what had happened while she was unconscious.

Was she in empire prisons?

Maybe some secret prison with a dirty torture interrogation?

Her mind whirled with possibilities and a wild imagination stemming from the brainwashing she'd been brought up with.

Even though torture prisons were banned from the Zerg Empire a few hundred years ago.

"Let's start with an easy one, what's your name?" a female voice sounded in her ear seeming close, but she wasn't sure she couldn't feel anything around her, there was no smell, or sounds other than her own breathing, the sounds of the chains on her wrists and the voices that seemed close but that she didn't know the exact location.

Binah let go of her mind perception to probe around, but the membrane that formed with her mind power didn't go very far, she seemed to be in some kind of tight cubicle, she tried to use her mind power with more incision.

"She's trying to use her mental power to penetrate my cage... How cute"

Binah lifted her head and looked around as everything was dark, but she recognized Emery's voice, she tried even more fiercely to attack the prison that held her.

However, everything was in vain.

"Is the medicine really working?"

"Wait, let me check the effects and timing here"

"This remedy may not work with Zerg Diablos and only work with Elves or just humans..."

"It should be working by now... Ah! First, we have to weaken her mental power..."

"That's easy"

As soon as Emery's voice sounded, Binah felt a sharp headache and the membrane made of her mental power crumbled like a mirror shattering into splinters, the pain could not be described.

Binah thought she would die from the pain, breathing seemed difficult, but soon she felt something being injected into her and the pain became mild, she started breathing hard and looked around, but she couldn't see anything but darkness.

"Ask now"

"What is your name?"

Binah wanted to laugh and say that this kind of questioning was ridiculous, had they injected her with a drug, to tell the truth?

She wanted to make fun of them a little, this kind of drug that messes with the mind is not very effective in omegas, and she trains with poisons like that, so there was no way that drug would really work.

"My name, Binah Daljit"

Binah's lips parted, and her voice was crystal clear, she got scared and tried to close her mouth, but the answer had already come out.

What was happening?

"Who gave you this name? Is that your real name?"

"The organization I work for named me when I passed the last exam and was selected to work directly on the organization's core missions. I don't know if I had another name, so this is my real name so far"

"It seems to work, but she has to be guided by the questions to answer correctly. She has been trained to withstand interrogation... See how she doesn't say the name of the organization and doesn't even talk about the previous name before being given a name by the organization, this woman is not just any pawn"

Binah listened to her interrogator's assessment and closed her mouth again, she was now scared, those who interrogated her were much stronger than she thought.

"What is the name of the organization that recruited you?"

"I was taken from an orphanage by a foster family when I was... I don't remember the age... and I was taken to a training camp, supposedly supported by an NGO"

"The name of the organization, what is it?"

"Social Reintegration and Organization for Abandoned Children (SROAC)"

"Was this the same organization you work for?"

"Not"

"What did you do at SROAC?"

"Training, tests and selection"

"How much time have you spent in this organization?"

"About seven years"

"Who does this SROAC work for? What is the purpose of this organization?"

"SROAC is independent and whoever pays the most gets its service. Its aim is only to train competent private soldiers under the cover of rescuing abandoned children and reintegrating them into society."

"Who did SROAC sell you to?"

"I was sold to a Research Institute"

"What is the name of the institute?"

"Private Research Institute Azmera for Mental Powers"

"What does this institute do?"

"It should be researched into the mental powers of the omegas, but it's just a facade"

The interrogation was being recorded, but the others were researching each institution that was mentioned by the prisoner, they had no idea what these institutions were.

"SROAC is a well-known NGO that occasionally adopts children from private orphanages, but rarely adopts children from public orphanages as they are stricter in supervision. Their base is in the State of Dolapo... Let's see, State of Dolapo... It was one of the states that suffered most from the war in the time of Emperor Kayin"

Wu Jian was saying, as he went through the information they got from the prisoner, he was going through every history.

"The Private Research Institute Azmera for the of Mental Powers (PRIAMP) was created in the second decade of the reign of Emperor Ehione, at that time the government was promoting the creation of institutions that would put the omegas in evidence and help establish the strength of the omegas"

Bae Dong also spoke while browsing Galactic Net, this was public information that everyone could have access to, it was the least amount of information, but it was what they had at the time.

That was the downside of doing such an interrogation without government backing, the information was limited they could research at the moment.

"What is the real objective of PRIAMP?" Chen Qian continued the interrogation after he heard the information from colleagues.

"Enhancing the powers of omegas to improve Omega Soldiers"

"Private soldiers?"

"Yes"

"For whom?"

"For the Rebels or racial supremacists, whoever pays them the most"

"Do they sell you or your service?"

"They sell our services"

"How do they sell your services?"

"By listing our strengths and skills on the black market, the payout is set depending on the mission"

"Nobles also come into contact with PRIAMP?"

"Yes, but we don't always accept their proposals as it is too risky to be tracked"

"Is the quest you received from some noble of the Diablo Empire?"

"Yes and no"

The answer surprised everyone, was the effect of the medicine wearing off?

Chen Qian looked at Mu Liang who shook his head in denial, he knew she would ask if the effect had worn off, but he knew it would take at least a few hours for the medicine to wear off.

"Is the person who requested the mission part of the imperial family?" Emery asked suddenly.
