Chapter 3 – Encounter Again

Today, the classroom was still filled with morons making noise.

Currently, the class was completely divided into two groups: those who had decided not to interfere with the morons and those who were making noise with them.

The non-interference group doesn’t mean that they are isolated.

In other words, I was the only one who was completely isolated from everyone else.

The chime rang signaling the start of the lunch break.

I left the classroom with an onigiri (TN: rice ball) that I bought at a convenience store on my way to school.

I couldn’t think of anywhere in particular, so I ended up going to the flower bed behind the school building where I always water the flowers.

There was a bench nearby that flower bed, and I figured it was just right since it was vacant most of the time.

Although I had finished my lunch, there was nothing much to do.

Since I had some time to kill, I thought about playing with my phone, but then I thought that since I was here, might as well water the flowers, so I wouldn’t have to come back after school.

I pulled out the weeds that were noticeable and started sprinkling water.

Then, I noticed a person approaching.

“… Ara? Aren’t you early today?”

“Satsukawa-senpai…”

Unexpectedly, it was the goddess who came.

The goddess looked at me, then moved her eyes to the flower bed, looked at the weeds that had been gathered together, and then looked at me again.

“I have been catching a glimpse of you after school all the time going here, but this is my first time seeing you do this at lunch, isn’t it?”

“I knew someone else was tending to the flower beds, but I didn’t think it was you, Satsukawa-senpai. I thought it was our teacher.”

I had thought that perhaps one of the teachers was the one who was tending to the flower bed.

“I usually come here at this time. And after school, I’ve often seen you taking care of the flowers.”

I had no idea that the Goddess was watching me…

But more than that, I was shocked to find out that the other person who was taking care of the flowers was the goddess.

One thing that I noticed was that I didn’t feel the “strictness” or “toughness” from when I encountered her on the rooftop yesterday…

This person, she’s a very beautiful woman, but her words are kinda harsh…but I guess she heard the exchange.

To be honest, the misery and embarrassment of being seen yesterday made me want to leave this place as soon as possible.

A female student, presumably a student council officer, who called Satsukawa-senpai by her title, came running.

“This is yesterday’s document…”

Somehow… the goddess’ expression looked somewhat different from before… I wonder what this is about…

“Is it something that can’t wait until the student council meeting after school?”

From this moment on, the atmosphere from the conversation we just had disappeared, and the mood became somewhat tense.

The words that came out were harsh, reminding me of the strictness from yesterday.

I couldn’t bring myself to talk any further because of the shame from being seen on the roof.
