Fernando had already lost consciousness when Amir appeared. It was possible that Amir had purposely made him pass out.

Darren responded. "Really?" Surprise replaced the confusion on Fernando's face.

"Yes." Darren nodded and proceeded to tell him what had just happened.

"Does he really have your friend? He could be lying to you, Darren." Fernando seemed skeptical about all these.
