Lord of the Karmic Fate

Chapter 155 Second Hidden Potential Of Luck Enhancement!

Etia stood beside Vance with an angered expression, her eyes flickering with dangerous coldness. However, soon her anger calmed down just a bit enough to allow herself to take a deep breath.

"Raven... What do you know about him?"

"Raven?" Vance raised a brow and after a moment he waved his hand.

Whoosh!

With a gentle motion, the pond before both Gods shifted, and in less than a second, the image of a young man with a small mark under his left eye materialized on the water's surface.

That young individual, needless to say, was Raven.

"Perhaps, is he the one you are talking about?"

"Yes. What do you know about him?" Etia spoke coldly and after she narrowed her eyes, added, "And don't even try to hide a thing away from me. I know you way too well to tell when you tell the truth and when you do not."

"My Lady, although I don't know how I earned your wrath this time, I can promise you I will only say the truth." Vance sighed and glanced at the small pond that now reflected Raven's image.

"As for your previous question, except for knowing that he is a mortal, a participant of my creation, I have no other information about him."

A frown appeared on Etia's face once hearing the answer.

"Architect, are you certain you know nothing else? Just know if you dare to keep anything away from me I will personally destroy your Core."

"Such harsh words... Truly, just what have I done to deserve such treatment after all the things I have achieved for you, my Lady?" Vance sighed helplessly, a hint of sorrow visible in his voice.

On the other hand, Etia just snorted coldly before she pointed at Raven's reflection.

"That boy is actually not a mortal but the born child of two Gods."

"What!? That is impossible!"

This time it was Vance's turn to fail to control his emotions and he snapped his head in Etia's direction.

"First of all, while it is true we Gods can give birth to successors, the probability for that is extremely low, close to zero!"

"Secondly, my creation is yet to be perfected, hence why I have agreed to your offer on using it on mortal beings instead of on us, Everliving."

"Lastly, which is also the most important one, if he truly is a God as you, my Lady, believe, I would have noticed it right away. There is no way that boy is one of us."

'Is he really know nothing?'

Etia's frown only deepened when he saw the honest expression Vance was just making, however, soon she just sighed and now with a calmer expression, she shook her head.

"Unfortunately, he is one of us. Just like you and me, he is also a God, an Everliving. The only difference is that he had yet to form his God Core while his True Bloodline, which had been sealed away, gets modified bit by bit as he unseals it!"

"Impossible! Our True Bloodline is a sacred thing, one that cannot be touched nor changed even if one wished to!" Vance blurted out as he jumped up on his feet, no longer able to remain sitting.

"Not clearly. Although it has a very low probability, our True Bloodline can be changed when we are still a newborn."

"Yes, that is true. However, if one really tries to change it and fails, the only thing that awaits is only certain death! No one dared to try to modify their True Bloodline ever before much less succeeded with it! Not even... him..."

Etia, after seeing the shock on Vance's face now was certain he really knew nothing and nodded before telling;

"But I fear this is the truth. It seems thanks to your creation that kid gained the ability to freely modify his True Bloodline bit by bit until it is completely awakened!"

Vance opened his mouth to say something, but even after several seconds, he realized he couldn't.

He was speechless, feeling just as bewildered as thrilled.

"I see... So that's how it is." after several minutes later Vance sighed with a faint smile before he sat back down, his azure blue eyes staring at Raven's fave with burning fervor.

"That's it? Do you perhaps don't understand the weight of all this?" Etia asked coldly.

"Weight?" Vance raised a brow and shook his head, "Of course, I understand it. However, this has gone way beyond my expectation. This is... marvelous!"

The frown on Etia's face deepened and snorted coldly.

"No, you do not understand at all. That kid is the child of Leion and Calene."

"The God of Fortune and the Goddes of Adversity?" Vance became a little surprised and as if he remembered something he touched his chin.

"Well, in that case, things have become a little complicated. Does he know about this?"

"Yes. I was about to kill that boy when he stopped me." Etia replied calmly.

"Huh? Why would he even do something like that? That makes no sense at all. If the child inherited both Gods' powers, it is alone enough to challenge the Lord! As for if he even succeeds in modifying those powers, he could-"

"I know, that is why I said the weight of this matter is way heavier than you truly think it is." Etia interrupted Vance before adding, "I even thought you helped him and worked together with those two, hence why I came here."

"My Lady, I would die instead of scheming behind the Lord's back. For you to assume such a thing is in itself offending for me." Vance stated with a scowl.

"I apologize, but I know for sure you would have assumed the same thing if our roles would have been changed." Etia sighed apologetically.

"Whatever, let's not care about something so trivial. Instead, what should we do about him? Although my heart hurts thinking about losing such a great test subject, the Lord's safety comes first no matter what."

"I have already tried to kill him, but, as I have told you already, he stopped me from doing so. I even promised I won't lay a finger on him ever again."

"Is that so?" Vance mumbled before his lips curved upward, "Well, that does not mean others can't, does it?"

"But if you do kill him, knowing him, he will punish you. And severely at that."

"Just who said that I will be the one killing him?" Vance asked with a sly smile, "I will not touch even a single hair on that boy, I can promise you that. However, the same couldn't be said for... others."

As if understanding the hidden meaning behind his words, a cunning smile appeared on Etia's charming face before she regained her indifference and nodded.

"I see. Then do as you wish. Also, if anyone asks, I was here to discuss the details of the next game."

"Naturally, my Lady. You don't have to worry and just leave everything else to me." Vance smiled knowingly and closed his eyes.

As for Etia, she hummed with satisfaction and vanished from her spot, almost as if she hadn't even been there, to begin with.

Standing below a large tree's shadow, Raven stared calmly into the distance, his gaze fixed on the people walking on the streets of Black Moon City.

He had been standing there ever since he enslaved Astra and did nothing but ponder in silence.

Pondering about all kinds of things such as the past Astra lived, the things she mentioned about various things like her world, the Gods, and the Worlds' Clash, and most importantly, about his Luck Enhancement.

Yes!

After talking with Dinas and fighting with Astra, Raven discovered that his ability could be much more than he initially believed it to be. It could do much, much more than that. With it, he could not only increase the chances of things happening around him or manipulate the movements of others, let it be during or outside of battles, but he could also control...

The misfortune of others, including his!

For instance, the moment when he showcased his ability before Old Dan and Thomas he caused misfortune to fall on him, which allowed his Luck Energy to increase!

At that moment he didn't realize it as he thought it was just a pure coincidence, but now he realized there was no such thing as coincidence if it included him.

That time, when the soccer ball hit him in the face, it was an action he caused unintentionally. He manipulated misfortune to affect him!

Not only that but now that he realized this it also meant he discovered a second hidden potential, one that if used correctly could allow him to generate more Luck Energy anytime and almost anywhere in the world!

If he wants, he could easily become his own Luck Energy generator and produce several units in a single day or even faster!

It was just simply too fantastic!
