Lord of the Karmic Fate

Chapter 62 Start Of The Special Event!

Raven stared blankly at the alarm beside him for a lengthy amount of time before he decided to move and turn it off.

Once silence fell on the room again, he slowly sat up and placed both of his feet on the ground without standing up. His gaze fixed in front of him lost in thought, trying to recall what he had just seen.

Was that a dream? But it felt way too real for it to be a dream. It felt almost as if he really has just woken up a moment ago and stared at that face in real life.

But whose face was that?

Raven wished to remember the face, but no matter how hard he tried the only thing he could bring out was a face covered in glowing whiteness.

No, not only the face. The whole body of that individual was covered in white light, stopping him from seeing who he really was.

"He talked about a seal... To break it or else I will be never free... But what seal? And what freedom was he talking abou? Am I not free already?" Raven contemplated for minutes before he let out a deep sigh and shook his head.

There were just too many questions he wished to ask without any of them getting a proper answer...

"Maybe it really was just a dream, who knows." Raven shrugged and for the time being put the matter aside as for now he should concentrate on the Special Event.

"First, I should take a bath. I stink like a fish..." with those words Raven ran into his bathroom and took a quick shower before walking back inside his room with only a towel around his waist.

"Now then... Although no one from the Black Moon Guild will join the event, or so that's what Thomas said, people will still be able to watch it live so I should wear a disguise. But how?" Raven wondered before his eyes lit up and quickly walked to his wardrobe and opened it.

"It should be somewhere here..." searching at the very bottom where he once put old clothes, Raven pulled out a few boxes and checked each of them.

And soon enough, after searching for 10 minutes he found what he wanted.

It was a mask and a very old set of clothes he once ordered, believing it would be cool to wear it at a masked party. The only problem with it was that the party was never held as it had been canceled, this in the end, it was just tossed into a box and put into his wardrobe.

It just looked way too cool to throw it away.

The mask was a simple golden polygon face mask while the clothing was a white suit with a shiny gold design. The pant was also white with gold sewings all over their surface.

He even found the white dress suits within the box, giving Raven a kind of elegant vibe when he took it into his hands.

"Although extravagant and not suited for the occasion, at least if I happen to end up losing my Artifact I will do it with style!" Raven grinned and decided to change into his new clothes before he checked himself in the mirror.

Right now, he looked like a combination of a rich gentleman and a mysterious thief, making himself nod with satisfaction.

"I completely forgot just how flexible this dress really is," Raven mumbled as he kicked and punched a few times, feeling comfortable even then and watching how the suit and pants didn't get torn into pieces from the sudden movements.

"And now we wait." sitting down at the edge of his bed, Raven summoned the countdown and watched how seconds and minutes vanished quickly.

And just like that, the moment the countdown reached zero Raven watched how his whole body was engulfed in silver light before he was teleported into the Empty World.

'So it began.' Raven took a deep breath and while people one after another began to appear around him he quickly threw his dice.

Whoosh!

'Although it is a little sad that it can only be used once, it looks like a pretty useful item. I wonder with all of my Mystique how lethal it can become.' Raven thought in his heart and raised his head, watching as more and more people appeared around him.

There were old, young, men, and women alike, each examining their surrounding while holding either their Artifacts or weapons tightly. However, not long after they began to inspect their proximity, it was not long before their gaze stopped on his figure and frowned with confusion.

'You didn't expect to see this, did you?' Raven laughed inwardly as he put the red orb into his pocket and stood calmly, not feeling awkward at all.

Hell, he was even somewhat proud of himself for no apparent reason despite knowing that now if he dies it meant he will not only lose the majority of his strength but will also sustain injuries!

'Well, considering the training I did for two weeks and the strength I currently possess, I shouldn't be nervous at all, should I?' Raven thought to himself, ignoring the doubtful and even mocking gazes on his body.

Meanwhile, throughout the whole world, every eye stared at their screens, watching how people one after another appeared within the Empty World.

Kayn, sitting inside a large room together with Thomas and a few other members of the Black Moon Guild narrowed his eyes, looking at the screen intently almost as if he wished to find someone.

However, once the seemingly last person was teleported into the Empty world his face relaxed, and let out a soft sigh.

[Every participant had been successfully transported!]

"Over a thousand? I thought it would be more but it seems I have greatly overestimated human ignorance." sitting on a floating chair before a large square table, a fat man wearing a black suit gazed at the floating hologram in the middle as his hand gripped a cigarette before his mouth.

At the head of the table, President Bai leaned forward and placed both of his elbows on the table, his fingers interlocked with each other right before his face.

"Let's see what this Special Event truly is." sitting on a leather couch in a luxurious villa, Old Dan looked at the hologram, his eyes flashing with various emotions that were hard to understand.
