Love is a Sweet Poison

"I look forward to hearing what you could be hiding from me." His voice was deeper and a little more husky than normal when he whispered back. 

Edna handed a try to Miyuki and carried a second one to Gabriel and Amelia. "Remember what you promised me Gabriel." She looked at the spot on Amelia's neck where he had left a mark on her milky skin.

"Thank you for the food Miyuki and Mother." Amelia accepted the tray and smiled sweetly. She didn't know about the mark on her neck as of yet.

Gabriel shifted her yukata and kissed the side of her neck before looking Edna in the eyes. "I know, and I told that I would not do anything that would hurt Amelia. Thank you for the food. You should get yourself something to eat."

There was a chorus of itadakimasu around the blanket. Amelia lifted a piece of meat to her mouth and sighed. "This is so tasty, Kuma. You are a spectacular cook." She ate the next piece happily.

Gabriel continued to hold Amelia and ignored the food that was brought for him as he made sure that she was eating. 

Mayumi finished the meat and vegetables that she was given and pattered over to Gabriel. "Uncle, are you not going to eat?"

"I will soon. I just want to make sure that Amelia is able to eat. I want to be certain that she is okay before I move away." Gabriel patted Mayumi on the head. 'And it would be unwise for me to move away.' He couldn't adjust himself, and he didn't want anyone else to know how he was feeling at the moment.

Amelia lifted her chopsticks and held out a piece of meat to Gabriel's lips. "Here. I think that you should try some while it is still warm. I like that taste and I thought that you would like it as well." She blushed as she held her chopsticks up to his mouth. 

"Itadakimasu." Gabriel ate the piece of meat happily and kept holding her close. "You spoil me so much Angel." He took the offered cabbage next. 

Mayumi smiled and ran back to her mother and Itsuki. "Uncle and Auntie are so beautiful together." She clapped her hands and hugged Suzuka. 

"You are right. They are a match like no other. One day you will find someone that you will love like Amelia and Gabriel love each other. I will make sure that you have a happy life." Suzuka patted Mayumi then her belly.

Sachi leaned over to Gabriel and Amelia. "So, just what deal did you make with your Mother, Gabriel?" Her eyes shone with curiosity. 

"If you must know, I promised that there would be no babies right now. I think that it goes without saying this something that will not happen right away." Gabriel ate the next piece of meat Amelia offered him.

Ami chuckles and shakes her head. "I think that is something that you may not be able to control. You both love each other and a baby is one way to show that you are madly in love with each other, but I understand why you both should wait. Amelia when the timing is right you will know." 

"That is I think that is the most sensible thing that you have ever said before Ami." Sachi laughs at the expression on Ami's face. "Come on you know that I didn't mean anything bad by what I said." 

Ami pushed Sachi over and smiled. Before Sachi could fight back Ami shoved a piece of meat in her mouth and got up and ran away laughing. 

"Well this is how our meals end up sometimes." Amelia was giggling from the antics of her friends. "Don't worry about them, they are just going to wear themselves out." She had finished eating but kept feeding Gabriel. "I know that you could feed yourself, but you might not want to move." 

"Oh and why is that?" teasing Gabriel chuckles and waits for a reply.

Whispering in his ear, "I can feel something hard on my back again, and I don't think you want for anyone here to see it." She kissed his cheek.

Bringing his lips to her ear, "you are quite right. It will go down eventually but thank you for covering for me. I will not lie to you, I find you very irresistible, and I desire you in any way that I could get you." 

She blushed but smiled. "You are so bad." She playfully pushed his shoulder. She wasn't expecting that he would pull her down with him. Amelia screeched and fell back on his chest then burst into giggles. 

Gabriel pulled her down and let her adjust herself so that she was laying beside him and looking up at the sky. "Thank you, I will forever only love you." 

Miyuki pulled out the gifts for the children and brought them to Amelia. "Here are the packages or would you like me to give them to the children?" 

Gabriel adjusted himself so that he was facing Amelia while she was staring at the sky. "I think that it would be best if you just hand the gift out. Amelia needs her rest." He touched her cheek and watched as her eyes closed. 

Miyuki watched and walked the gifts over to the children. "This is a gift for both of you." She gives them both a package. 

"Thank you!" Mayumi takes the package carefully opening it. "OH! A kite. How pretty. Sara can you help me build it?" 

Itsuki opened his mouth and smiled widely. "This is so cool! Miyuki can you help me since Sara is busy?" He looked at her expectantly. 

Ami came to Miyuki's side. "I can help and show you the steps. I have built many kits in my days." She was already done chasing Sachi around. 

Sachi walked over to Amelia and laid a thin blanket over her. "It is nice to see her so peaceful. Thank you." 

"I will do anything to keep that peaceful look on her face just like you do in secret. I know that you admitted something to Amelia. It must have been a lot to admit it." Gabriel glazed up at Sachi not angrily but as a friend.

Sachi looked at Gabriel a bit shocked then smiled. "It is good that you know. I will not steal what is yours, but I will care for her in any way that I can." 

"I trust that you will look after her when I am unable to." Gabriel laid his arm over her stomach and snuggled in closer to her. 

Sachi nods at him. "Even without you asking, you know that I will do that. She is one of my two best friends." Sachi looks at Ami as she runs with the children. "Each of us must play a part in this game of life and Amelia is the one piece that draws people to her." She looks up at Ami and the children running around flying the two kites. 

"Indeed. I think you are right in saying all of this. Nonetheless, Amelia will forever be etched into everyone's lives. Would you like to participate in something that could take care of a problem?" His eyes glinted with a hint of darkness.

"What are you thinking? I want to hear about your plans before I make the choice. I do want to take care of an issue. That is if we are talking about the one that hurt her." Sachi pointed to Amelia's wrist where the hand print was showing from the yukata sleeve moving up her arm. 

Gabriel took a look around and nodded. "There are very few things that I do not like and one of them is hurting someone that is innocent. He has done enough damage," he let out a sigh. "Sending the bill from the store is not enough, so I was thinking about pulling some strings in the background. Making it harder for him to get what he wants. It is not a good idea to fuck with the bigger of the two hospitals." 

Sachi sat up straighter. "Okay, you have me interested. What do you want to do and how do you want to do it?" she nodded thinking about his words. "Wait, you are cutting supplies?" 

"Something like that." Gabriel smiled, "There are a few suppliers that we share, and I was thinking of depleting the stock of a lot of the items, leaving nothing left. I will have to talk to father about it but with how the medicines are selling right now the supply in demand is pretty high."
