Love is a Sweet Poison

Gabriel nodded and carried Amelia to her bedroom. "It is hard to believe that this is finally happening. It feels like I have been waiting for years when realistically it was only a month and a little bit." He set her on top of the bedding. "I will be back with my final gift for you, at least final for now." He left her sitting on the bedding and went back to his painting room and pulled out the green and blue yukata to go over the shiromuku. He went back to their bedroom and opened the door slowly. He sat in front of Amelia. Finally, he handed over the package and watched as she accepted. 

Amelia looked at the package and ran her hand across the top and gently 'along the sides. She looks down at the package smiling and opened it up. Tears ran down her cheek as she saw the yukata. "Oh, Gabriel, this is stunning she started crying and moved the package aside and threw her arms around his neck giving him a kiss on the lips. "Thank you."

Gabriel kisses her back and happily hold onto her. "I am glad that you love it. I wanted you to wear the shiromuku and the family colours. So if you are willing will y9ou change into this after the ceremony? I know that is a lot of work, but I promise that you will not regret it." 

"I will do that." Amelia buried her face into his shoulder still crying when there is a knock at the door. "Come in." She tries to stop the tears but is not able to. 

Miyuki came in with dinner and tea and looks at the couple. "Amelia, Gabriel. I have brought dinner. It is about time that you showed her that yukata." Miyuki places the food down and moves to the couple and reaches out to take the yukata and hangs it on the wooden stand. She smooths it out and leaves it on display. "I have too many duties today, so I will not be able to eat with you guys. I will be back in an hour with the shiromuku. It is time to move the outfits to your guys room so that in the morning after you get up I will be able to assist you in getting dressed."

"Thank you Miyuki. I will leave that to you and thank you for all your help. I know that it is your job, but I really appreciate it." Amelia bowed then got up slowly, walked to the table, and sat down.

Gabriel got up with Amelia, He went to the medicine and grabbed a package and brought it to her then sat down. "Thank you Miyuki. I look forward to seeing what Amelia has chosen to wear. Will my outfit be brought here as well?" He sat down next to Amelia and handed her the package. 

Amelia took the powder and drank some tea afterwards. She looked at Gabriel blushing. This is really happening?" she blushed and looked away.

"It is happening. Together until the end of our days. That is all that I wanted." Gabriel lifted her chin up. "I cannot wait until we are on our vacation." 

"Itadakimasu," Amelia and Gabriel say at the same time. Amelia starts to eat and thinks for a short moment. "Where are we going away to?" 

"You know that I will not tell you. I am keeping it a surprise. We will leave after the reception." Gabriel starts to eat and thinks about what plans he had in store. 'This is going to be so much fun. Although I know that it is eating away at her for not knowing.'

Pouting Amelia eats dinner and doesn't ask again. While they eat Miyuki and Sara come in and out of the room carrying different pieces of the wedding garments. Amelia watches and gets up and touches the fabric gently. "This is a gorgeous as that day that I picked it out." 

Gabriel looked up and his smile turns a little heated. "Damn, that is going to be stunning on you. I know that I have been waiting to see what you would pick, and I think that you made the right choice. It is no wonder Mother would not let me see the shiromuku before the wedding date." He gets up and went to her side and pulled her back to the table to finish eating.

Sighing Amelia went back and ate a few more bites. "Gochisousama. I am happy that you like the shiromuku. I think Mother knew that you would be tempted to ask me to putty it on." She blushed and looked at the shiromuku.

Quickly he finished the food and stood up. He held out his hand and lead her to the outside. "To get away from the temptations is a wise choice. I can wait one more night. We still have a lifetime ahead of us." He kissed her on the porch. 

Amelia kissed him back and touched his cheek. "Once they are done moving everything into the room I think that we should get some sleep." 

Nodding Gabriel picks her up, "I agree I am so excited I wonder if I will be able to sleep?" 

"I feel the same way." She looks over Gabriel's shoulder and Miyuki waved and singles that they are now all done. Amelia nods and then holds onto Gabriel's yukata. "They are all done. Let's try and get some sleep. 

Gabriel carried her back into the room and laid her down on the bed. He got up and brought over to sleeping aids. "If we don't take this neither one of us will be able to sleep" He takes it right away and hands her the second package and lays down next to her. 

Amelia sits up and takes the sleeping aid. She lays down and cuddles into Gabriel. "Goodnight dear." She kisses his cheek then falls asleep.

Gabriel pulls her closer taking in her calm floral scent and kisses the top of her head falling asleep peacefully.
