Love, Jerk, and Affair

After a few minutes of traveling, they arrived at a fancy restaurant. Adriana walked with her small bag, while Erik walked beside her while carrying Evan. They seem like a happy little family. However, who would have thought? the relationship between the two of them was as bland as vegetables without salt.

Mark and Adriana order some expensive food and dessert for Evan. They enjoy the atmosphere of eating together. Occasionally Mark helps Adriana to feed Evan, who also likes to be fed by his father. because it happens very rarely.

From a distance appeared a man who was watching the little family. It was Zach who happened to be at the restaurant too.

Zach smiled slightly at the togetherness of Adriana and Mark. He felt a pounding in his heart and a feeling of regret that he had let the girl he loved being with another man. However, he tried to accept this reality.

Zach took a deep breath and then exhaled, trying to calm his turbulent heart. he decided to approach the little family.

"Mark ... Adriana," Zach said with a friendly smile.

"Zach. You're here too," Mark replied, smiling at Zach. They do know each other, because when he was getting married, Adriana introduced him to Zach.

"I happened to meet my client here," said Zach who was still standing.

"Sit and eat with us, I'll treat!" exclaimed Mark

"No, I have to go home soon because I have work to do," Zach refused, occasionally glancing at Adriana who could not cover the sadness in her eyes.

Zach knows if Adriana is happy or sad, but she chooses to keep quiet and not interfere. because She is no longer a girl to talk to at will but has become someone's wife.

Zach smiled in response to Mark. then immediately left the restaurant and walked to his car with an uncertain feeling.

"Why do you look sad? Just like when Jack hurt you back then. Was Mark not being nice to you?" Zach's mind was filled with curiosity. he always felt pity and care when Adriana was in trouble or looked sad. Since a long time ago, when he knew her as cousin's lover.

"What if we take Evan to the playground, do you agree?" asked Mark while staring at Adriana who was still cleaning Evan's mouth because it was a little messy after eating dessert.

"It's up to you, but don't come home too late at night," replied Adriana with a flat gaze.

Mark let out a rough breath while glancing at Adriana who was cold. he still didn't realize why his wife looked sad and put on an ordinary face. He was insensitive!

"Okay." Mark immediately paid for the food, then took his wife and children back to the car. He drove his car towards the mall.

Arriving at the mall, Mark invites Evan to play. they both take ball baths, ride slides, ride horses toy, go through obstacles, and much more. Adriana chose to wait outside the rides because the clothes she was wearing were uncomfortable to play with then. She smiled at the happiness of the child who was laughing happily with his father.

"Could it be that I have to endure for Evan?" thought Adriana.

Adriana's Smartphone vibrates. She immediately checked it and saw an incoming message from Zach.

Zach:

Are you home yet?

Adriana:

Not yet

I'm still waiting for Evan and Mark to play

Zach:

Oh ...

can I ask you something?

Adriana;

Of course

Zach:

Why do you look sad?

Adriana:

Zach:

"Let's just go home, Evan is tired and sleepy!" invites Mark who just came out of the game. He was carrying Evan who looked lethargic and eyes that looked wistful.

They immediately exited the mall and returned to the car. during the trip, there was no conversation. Adriana sat holding Evan while tapping his shoulder lightly until the boy fell asleep slowly.

After arriving home, Mark carried Evan and took him to a private room followed by Adriana.

"He looks like very tired," muttered Markk as he put Evan to the bed.

"Of course, he rarely plays to that place because you rarely invite him," said Adriana while covering Evan with blanket.

"Sorry, I'm always busy," said Mark.

"Dave's not as busy as you," Adriana replied with a tone of protest.

"The company has Dave manages is not big as mine, it's only natural that he's not too busy," Mark explained.
