Love, Jerk, and Affair

Chapter 22:Sadness in the morning

Emma woke up and got out of bed. she immediately exited the room to the bathroom across the kitchen where Amanda was washing rice in the sink.

Cough...

Amanda glanced at her mother when she heard someone coughing. "Mom."

"Are you going to college today?" asked Emma as she opened the bathroom door.

"No, Mom," said Amanda and then remembered Adriana who is currently at home and will be divorced. She worries that her mother will drop even more hearing that her daughter will be divorced.

"Then you go to the shop, mommy is still dizzy and wants to rest."

"Yes, Mom."

Emma immediately went into the bathroom while Amanda continued her activities of cooking rice. After cooking rice, the girl cooked the breakfast menu for this morning. She plans to cook egg chili sauce because it's Adriana and Evan's favorite.

Adriana stretched when she felt a small hand playing her nose, forcing her eyes to open. She smiled when she woke up and saw that the little hand was the hand of her son who was now sitting trying to wake her up by forcefully opening her eyes.

"Mommy, ask for milk," Evan exclaimed, whimpering patting his mother's chest.

"Milk? Mommy hasn't bought milk yet, honey, we are at grandma's house and the milk that you usually drink is at daddy's house," said Adriana as she sat down.

"Let's go home!" exclaimed Evan in his childlike shrill voice and still couldn't get the letter "R".

Adriana sighed at her son who wanted to be at his Daddy's house while she wanted a divorce.

"Is this the start of a mistake because I asked for a divorce and my son wants us to stay together?" her mind was filled with doubts.

Drett ... Dret ....

Her smartphone vibrated, Adriana immediately took the smartphone on the bed next to where she sat and saw an incoming message via WhatsApp. she opened the message and it turned out to be a message in the form of a photo.

"Damn, what's the point of sending this disgusting photo?" Adriana chuckled annoyedly staring at a photo showing a picture of Mark sleeping shirtless while being hugged by a smiling Maura staring at the camera. Instantly Adriana threw her smartphone in any direction. hem, any woman's heart will be annoyed if she sees an intimate photo of her husband with another woman, as well as how Adriana feels.

"Let's pee first, I'll make you tea later," said Adriana while inviting Evan to get out of bed.

"Don't want to drink tea!" Evan stared at his mother and reluctantly got out of bed.

"Then don't have to drink," said Adriana then got out of bed alone and let her angry son. the woman was upset and could not comply with all the wishes of her son, because the mini market that sells milk is quite far from the house.

Adriana walks out of the room to the kitchen across the living room where there is a TV, cupboard, and some photos of herself and Amanda hanging neatly on the wall. There is also a photo of herself after the blessing at church with Mark, she immediately took the photo and kept it in the cupboard.

"This marriage will end soon," muttered Adriana as she put the photo into the cupboard, then she continued walking towards the kitchen.

Arriving at the kitchen, Adriana saw Amanda was cooking, while her mother was drinking tea on a chair at the dining table.

"Mom," called Adriana while greeting her mother.

"You are here, when did you come?" asked Emma with a little surprise, because when Adriana came, she was already sleeping.

"Last night I came, Mom," said Adriana with a languid bow, then sat on a chair at the dining table facing her mother.

"Where are Evan and Mark, are they still sleeping?" Emma asked, smiling at the memory of her adorable and handsome grandson.

"Mommy is Naughty!" exclaimed Evan, who had just arrived, grinning at his mother and grandmother who were chatting. hem, it seems that the boy does not accept being left in the room alone.

"It's your fault that you don't want to get up," said Adriana with an angry glance at her son who was still angry. She immediately got up from the chair and approached her son. "Let's go to the bathroom, wash your face, and pee."

"I'm asking for milk, Mom! Anyway, ask for milk!" exclaimed Evan with a slight yell.

Seeing her grandson who asked for milk, Emma immediately responded, "I'll ask aunty Amanda to make it. Now, Evan goes to the bathroom first."

Evan only responded by looking away and walking towards the bathroom followed by his mother. Amanda, who was cooking, blocked her annoyed nephew.

"You can't pass!" cried Amanda with a smile, lowered her head, and stretched out her arms.

"Aunty, move, I'm going to pee!" exclaimed Evan, growing irritated.

"Kiss first." Amanda squatted forward to face Evan's adorable face.

Adriana glanced at Amanda's cooking and took the initiative to turn down the stove so that it wouldn't burn because the cook was joking.

"Don't want to, aunty is smelling!" Evan looked away.

"Wow, even though you're the one who still smells. Then aunty won't buy milk for you." Amanda also looked away.

Seeing that her aunty looked angry and threatened not to buy milk, Evan immediately looked at her aunty's face and kissed her cheek. "I already kissed it, but later you have to buy a milk."

Adriana smiled and glanced at her adorable son. "Let him pee first, Amanda," she said.

Amanda smiled and kissed her nephew again, then immediately got up. she continued cooking while her nephew walked to the bathroom with his mom.

Emma immediately asked Amanda to buy milk for Evan when she finished cooking. Adriana, who had come out of the bathroom, approached her mother and sat back down on the dining table chair while Evan played in the living room where some of his toys were available.

"Are you sick, mom?" Adriana looked at her mother who looked pale and coughed several times.

"Just a cold and a cough, Adriana," said Emma.

"Why isn't Mark awake yet? He doesn't usually wake up late when he's here."

"Why? usually, you always stay with him." Emma looked suspiciously at Adriana, who was now bending her face.

"Mom, forgive me for not being able to maintain the mandate of a marriage and not being a good wife," said Adriana with a languid bow, staring at her fingers on the table, then looking at her mother who looked worried.

"Why you say that Adriana, is there a problem?" asked Emma angrily.

"We are going to divorce, mom," said Adriana compulsively, because for her there was nothing to hide from her household which was on the verge of collapse.

Emma stared at her daughter in silence as if she couldn't believe what she was hearing. "Why divorce? Aren't you guys thinking about how it will affect you? "

"Mom, I've been trying to survive, but it's been my decision because Mark is ambivalent and my in-laws always don't like me, don't think of me and Evan as family members," said Adriana with teary eyes. she doesn't want to add to the burden on her sick mother by telling her problem, but if she continues to bury it, it will only become a burden on her mind and make her sick.

Emma sighed as she remembered that Margareth had not been kind to Adriana, even to herself. She looked pityingly at her daughter who was also betrayed by her husband.

"Patience, Dear. everything must have a way out and God must have more beautiful plans for you. Mommy can't force you to endure if the problem is about being betrayed, because it must be very painful," said Emma wistfully stroking Adriana's hair with love, a mother who was sad because she saw her daughter hurt by her husband.
