Jean gave a wry smile and said nothing.

Jean did not reply. She merely looked sideways at Mary, who waited attentively beside them.

Sandra immediately understood what Jean was implying. She glanced at Mary and said, "Mary, you can go back into the house. Jean will take care of me."

"Yes, Mrs. Chen."

Mary turned and left obediently. As soon as she had gone, Sandra leaned over to Jean and said, "We're alone now. What is it?"
